I have both a Visa and a MasterCard, but unfortunately, neither of them is working. This has been a really disappointing experience, and I honestly didn’t expect such issues. It seems there might be some serious problems with their system.

I see some other comments about overly sensitive fraud detection. That happened to me. They declined the transaction on the first try, and then the card locked after they declined it. 7-10 minute wait on hold, finally talked to someone and they reissued another card. Asked her what I could do differently this time. She said now that they know it was me, the transaction will go through. Really? That's the process? Use the card, get declined, dig up the help line phone number, wait on hold until they reissue another card? Terrible. And of course I screwed up the next transaction by entering an amount over the amount of the amount of the card - so now I'm back on hold again. Second decline was my fault, but still - all of this for a $40 refund on a class action settlement - ridiculous. I'm 30+ minutes in to collect $40.
Update: After talking with a second rep they told me I'd have to submit the following info:
To process your card replacement, we’ll just need the following documents:
If you have a physical card
A picture of the front and back of the card
A clear color selfie holding your ID. Please ensure that your upper torso, shoulders, arms, and hands are fully visible in the picture, along with the ID (Make sure the picture is legible)
If you have a digital card
A clear color selfie holding your ID. Please ensure that your upper torso, shoulders, arms, and hands are fully visible in the picture, along with the ID. (Make sure the picture is legible)
A screenshot of the reward email received from the card sponsor. (Ensure to cover sensitive information)
Once we receive the documents, please allow 48 hours for an update on your request.

I received a prepaid Mastercard as part of a class action settlement and I have been unable to use it on any website that I tried and now it's saying that my card is blocked. 0/10, and no response from support either. Avoid this company at all costs

Trying to close my card but I cannot get through in any way from the UK. I can see the company is replying here so this is my only method of communication ridiculously. Please can you contact me so I can close the card and avoid the fees for having a balance (I don’t mind losing the money).

Reply from My Prepaid Center
Desperately trying to close card to avoid being charged fees for having a balance, but it is impossible to get in touch with this company!
UPDATE - Please can you send me an email? I have supplied my information via Trustpilot. If that doesn’t come through, please send me another request for review details and I can try again.

I received a firtual gift card but when I tried to verify it I was unable to do so. I called the number in the email and took days to get thru and the only reason I got thru was because I woke up at 3am and tried calling and finally got thru. The man I spoke to said he would make an exception to give me a real card(which I originally asked for) now today they tell me they can’t do it.now I’m back to stage 1! I wonder if they do this so that they can get a higher payback from these companies? Just wondering!!! How this company is still in business is beyond me. Just like everyone else I just got screwed. Not worth anymore of my time trying to retrieve what I deserve. Wishing better luck to everyone else

do not use this service. My card is useless, and they have designed a system where it is impossible for international users to get help. By providing only a phone number, they know people outside the US can't reach them. They have trapped my money with no way to recover it.
UPDATE: I was contacted by "Maurice V." and filled out the secure link with my contact details 4 days ago, as requested. I have still received no email and no solution. My money is still trapped on a card I cannot use, and I am still stuck with no real support.

I don’t think I’m the only one facing this issue — I have a virtual Visa prepaid card from my prepaid center, and it doesn’t work anywhere online or through Google Pay. It’s honestly really frustrating because what’s the point of having a virtual card if you can’t even use it for basic online payments? I’ve tried different websites and apps, but it keeps getting declined every time. Either there’s some hidden restriction no one mentioned, or the system’s just broken. Either way, it’s annoying to have a card that looks convenient on paper but turns out to be completely useless in practice.

Scam! myprepaidcenter.com wouldn't validate my virtual debit card that i was awarded. I could and cannot ever reach a person at myprepaidcenter.com to solve the problem. Frustating. I know they know all about my virtual debit card because by my online selection they sent me an equivalent dollar value physical credit card in the mail, but they charged me $3 for this, the only choice they gave me that works. The scam is that they figured out a way to receive $3 for every virtual card that they are supposed to handle for $0. They need to be class-action sued by lawyers. Where are those attorneys who will stand up and earn big money for exposing the shoddy inaction of myprepaidcenter.com?

If I could give zero stars, I would. Accessing the information is nearly impossible as always comes back with invalid username or password. Changed the password and get the same results over and over. Then access is blocked. Absolutely ridiculous. Absolutely hate the virtual card with this website!

I guess I'm not the only one having problems with this virtual card from the Walmart settlement.
I’ve activated the virtual debit card, but I’m unable to use it on any website or digital wallet. Every time I try, I receive the same message: “Please contact the card issuer.”
I’ve double-checked the card details and tried using it on different platforms, but the issue persists. I have available funds, but I can’t access them, which is extremely frustrating. I need an urgent solution, as this service is currently ineffective and causing me inconvenience.
I look forward to a clear and immediate response to resolve this issue.

I currently have three cards, which total nearly $150 and have been unable to use them. I have tried calling customer service, but only get an automated response, which doesn't allow me to leave a message or talk to someone. My hope is, that by leaving this review, someone will contact me in order to clear up this mess.

UPDATE: Blackhawk Network followed through on this review and figured out where the money went, and made sure it finally came through. A month later, I had it deposited into my account. I added 2 stars for their consistent follow up and respectful and prompt responses throughout this process. I am withholding stars as I should not have had to resort to this method to track down the money and what the “Balance Adjustment” meant. I had tried contacting several times before and no one could help me. Kudos to their social media team that responds to these reviews for being the only ones who finally could take action and close this issue. I still think there is something off about this whole process, with so many people who have had their balances adjusted to zero and never see the money. This company needs to make it much easier to track down and recover those remaining funds on the cards.
Received funds from a class action suit and was able to use for two purchases. Had a balance remaining, and all of a sudden it just says balance is $0.00 and had a “Balance Adjustment”. No explanation on what it was. I tried to call and it said it was expired and closed (09/2027 is not expired), it was not inactive, used within last 30 days, and no fees should apply. I tried to connect to customer service it just hung up. Almost as if this is a scam and trying to steal remaining funds from everybody.

What an absolutely terrible company. I would never recommend them to anyone. They keep blocking my card for no good reason they even blocked it just because I was using it for Anthropic, which makes no sense at all. I've been waiting two weeks for a replacement card, and I still haven't received it. Every time I call, they tell me to wait another 24 hours. They've wasted my money and my time I've had to call them every single day.

Card keeps declining, Everything should be activated and good to go but every online order I try to place DECLINES!!! Pls help

I was sent a prepaid Mastercard and told to activate it at myprepaidcenter.com. Guess what? The site doesn’t open. Not on Chrome, not on Firefox, not on Safari, not on mobile — nothing works! I tried on multiple devices and it’s the same result every time: a dead, useless site.
I waited for weeks to check again if it works but still same issue i hate to say this but this company is a scam how could they send you email to activate and not make their website accessible
