Spoke to Julie in customer services to state the light we ordered wasn’t working, we went above and beyond and spent £80 odd on a dimmer for the light to be faulty, also described as walnut was was in no way walnut not that I brought this up…
Anyway after three weeks (was told 2-3 days) of determining it was at fault by the video I sent showing it was faulty I was offered credit for the store (60%) or a 30% refund. At this time I just want it over with so accepted the 30% refund. They stated if I wanted a full refund I’d have to return the light at my own cost??
It seems a bit misleading from what is stated on the websites guarantee for returns.
Anyways off to spend my 30% refund on fixing my light :)

My experience with Mysalights has been nothing short of unacceptable. I received two faulty items, both entirely unfit for purpose, yet the company has consistently refused to provide a free return, despite this being a clear expectation under their own stated returns policy and money back guarantee along with my understanding of the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
After 13 email exchanges, Mysalights has offered nothing but obstruction. Their
"solutions" consisted of store credit, an exchange, or lastly a mere 50% refund on my £210.54 order (after 7 days of email exchanges). I declined the exchange as both items were defective on arrival, and I have no confidence that replacements would be any different. Their insistence that I fund the return shipping to Amsterdam-when the products were faulty from the outset-is wholly unreasonable and contrary to fair trading practices.
The company's website is, in my view, misleading, particularly regarding the true origins and quality of their products, which are manufactured in China. Their handling of this matter suggests a troubling disregard for consumer protections and responsible business conduct.
Due to their refusal to resolve this issue appropriately, I have contacted my bank, Trading Standards, and the Financial Ombudsman, and I will be pursuing legal action, including recovery of legal fees.
Based on my experience, I strongly urge others to avoid this company entirely.

I purchased a chandelier from MySaLights after it was advertised as European bespoke. What arrived looked entirely different from the photos online, was clearly manufactured in China, and the quality was extremely poor for the price. In my view, the product was both misrepresented and defective.
I provided video evidence of the fault, which the company acknowledged. Despite this, the only remedies offered were:
25% refund,
60% store credit,
or a replacement.
None of these align with the remedies set out under EU Directive 2019/771, which MySaLights claim to comply with. Under this directive, when goods are defective or not as described, consumers are entitled to repair, replacement, OR a refund, and all remedies must be free of charge, including return shipping. Their own warranty text also states they cover all shipping costs for defective items, yet no full refund or clear return process was offered.
Customer service concerns
Another major issue is that there is no phone line, no human point of contact, and customer support appears to come from automated responses. In my experience, communication has felt extremely impersonal and scripted. After reading numerous other negative reviews, many customers report the same thing — difficulty reaching a real person and responses that appear automated.
Concerns about the legitimacy of the business
After my experience and after reviewing other customers’ complaints, I personally have serious concerns about whether this is a genuine EU-based business. Many reviewers describe the company as a shell operation, with products shipped directly from China despite being advertised as “European bespoke.” Even replies to negative reviews often appear formulaic, generic, or AI-generated, which only adds to the impression that this may not be a fully staffed or transparent company.
These are my impressions, based on my direct experience and what I’ve observed from other consumers publicly sharing similar situations.
Product quality
The item I received was:
extremely poor quality,
overpriced compared to what arrived,
not consistent with the product photographs,
and defective straight out of the box.
Given all of this, I believe other customers should proceed with caution. I am now pursuing a refund through my payment provider because, in my experience, the company did not honour the remedies required under EU consumer law nor their own stated warranty.
So they respond with the AI I’m guessing below. No mention of not following their own warranty procedures when I’m entitled legally to a FULL REFUND and FREE POSTAGE to return the faulty item. Avoid this company at all costs! You’ve been warned.

The worst company I have ever ever dealt with. Their customer service is a scam and they said my package got lost so I could either pick another item or wait till it was back in stock. I said please just refund me. I asked 6 times to be refunded, they then magically said the lamp reappeared and they were sending it. I asked them not to send it as I had already bought another lamp - they didn't listen and sent it anyway. As a result I had to pay 50gpb to ship back to them and still never heard back on them repaying me. This is illegal and a scam. They are stealing money.

This company appears to be running a scam and I have lodged a complaint. My experience has been similar to others and my advice would be to avoid buying anything from Mysalights. I ordered the Firefly pendant and after many weeks it arrived badly packaged and did not resemble the picture online. The light we received does not appear to be legally compliant within the EU or UK with no evidence of a CE mark on the product, packaging or instruction sheet. Mysalights claim it is easy to assemble but a qualified electrician told us it would be impossible to connect the eighty wires with the parts supplied.
Having explained this to Mysalights they consistently replied that I had to pay to return the light before they would check it and refund me. I don't trust a company that can sell a product like this and didn’t feel I should have to pay the high cost to insure and send back from the UK a product which does not resemble the image online, is impossible to assemble and does not appear to be legally compliant or safe. They absolutely refuse to prepay returns. I have accepted a 50% discount and kept the light as evidence (I am going to report this to EU trading standards as I believe Mysalights is a scam and are selling potentially dangerous and illegal products). So, please beware of buying from this company and if you do, expect to lose at least half the purchase price and be left with an unusable product or pay high shipping costs to return and wait to see if they will refund you. I’ll do more research in future and buy from within the UK wherever possible.

Goods are arriving from china, it’s just a dropshipping website. You can find the same lamps on AliExpress for 20% of the price. And they are really the same lamps!
They don’t do any refund and make you pay a lot for return.
EDIT:
They contacted asking to remove this review in order to get the refund. I assume many others bad reviews disappeared because of this.
Don’t trust them, just dispute the transaction via your card provider

DO NOT PURCHASE from this company - you won't get what you bought, and you WILL lose money. Poor quality products, shipping from China, and DO NOT Perform as described under the web-site.
My first order arrived eventually - and DID NOT DIM, despite the website stating it does. Was offered a full credit if I placed an alternative order - which I did, using the credit.
Second order arrived - AGAIN very poor Chinese quality with no instructions - in fact made clicking sounds when installed which concerned me as there was no earthing connection, but more importantly the it was NOT Warm white as described on the website.
You could cycle through to Warm white, but had to flick the on/off light switch multiple times to change it but who wants to do that every time you turn the light on - the website said it was just WARM WHITE
Even today both products are wrongly advertised on the website.
I arranged for the return at my cost, and even offered to pay the customs charges (their return policy), but conveniently the company did not cooperate with the courier and so the goods were returned to me.
Customer Service - are very responsive but keep repeating themselves saying we will refund when they arrive in their warehouse - which of course they won’t arrive.
Spent £222 on lights + Postage back to have two sets of FAULTY lights, and all they offered is 50% compensation for THEIR issue as the products DO NOT perform as described.
I’ve now put it in the hands of my credit card company as they are misleading purchasers
****Update 28/11****
They eventually offered me a full refund if I took down my review on Trustpilot AND removed the chargeback - I did both just to get my money back, and then they claimed they couldn't make the payment until the chargeback had cleared and quoted 7 working days..... enough is enough... I reinstated the chargeback, and let the banks deal with it.....seems lots of people are in the same situation
