Don’t buy anything on this webshop

Don’t buy anything on this webshop, it’s Temu/Alibaba quality. Just do an image search…

My order - a 500eur + lamp - arrived in a totally broken box, which was just a glimpse of what I was about to find. When I opened the box, I found the power cable was cut (still puzzles me today how that could have happened during transport) and the lamp base made of metal was completely bended. It became clear to me this is a webshop that looks good on the outside, but sells you products you can find for a 1/5 of the price on Temu or Alibaba. The blame is on me for assuming that a well pulled off website meant good quality lamps.

The service… well they obviously deal with complains on a daily basis. The emails were a copy past of responses, often incoherent, lacking any personal touch or care for good service.

Do yourself a favour, don’t buy anything on this webshop. You can find a larger catalog on Temu or Alibaba if you’re into this material quality.

This company operates as a scam

This company operates as a scam. The products they send you don’t ressemble anything like the photos advertised on their website. They are cheap knockoffs that are very poor quality. I wish I could upload photos to illustrate the joke of a product I received that was also scratched. I sent the item back, as per their returns instructions- paying £20 for postage- and it got blocked at customs for being an incorrect address (it’s the one they provided). Save yourself the money and hassle and DO NOT order from this company. If you find yourself in my position- try and dispute the payment through your bank. Keep evidence of everything and you might have some luck!

Clearly not perfect, but also not terrible

While I agree with a lot of the reviews that the website was misleading, my experience was somewhat different. Here are the ways in which the site is misleading:
1. They are not located in Amsterdam, but apparently in China.
2. The products are not made by "expert artisans across Europe."
3. Contacting them ahead of my order, I was promised my delivery would take 7-14 working days. It took 19.
4. The site says shipping is handled by DHL; mine came through the regular postal service.
5. Their "package tracking" on their website shows no locations, so you have no idea where your package is.

THAT SAID, the light I received definitely does look like the one pictured on the site, and it seems competently and solidly made. Unfortunately, it was somewhat damaged during shipping, but I offered to keep it if they provided a significant refund. They agreed to this and claim to have issued the partial refund I requested. (It could take 3-5 days for that to show up, so I'll write again if there's a problem.)

Do I wish they were more transparent? Yes. Did I find it to be a total scam? No. But clearly I'm in the minority.

Appalling quality

The products arrived fairly quickly but were such bad quality. Please do not buy from them. I could’ve made them better myself.

The lights looks like someone had drilled 50 or so holes in them, the response I got was that they were meant to be like that. Since then Mysalights have offered me 15% back but only if I take down this review.
Given the palaver other people have had trying to return, I have thrown them in the bin (they were that bad) and will chalk this up to experience and make sure I read all the reviews before making a purchase from elsewhere.

All the bad reviews are true

All the bad reviews are true. It’s a Shopify storefront using fake images. They use AI tooling for ALL of their communication so the replies you get when you complain aren’t even real. The tracking is also fake. It's been 6 weeks and I still haven't received anything. It’s a beautifully crafted website created for entirely automated scamming.

Update: The company has replied here, and if you run the reply through an AI detector you'll see that it too is written by AI. So very ironic. Avoid!

Big Scam

Big Scam ! as mentioned in multiple reviews, they basically ship inferior products from china who end up having quality issues along with delivery problems.
In my case only partial order was delivered. The lamp shade missing.
You have to forget about the refund, The customer services reply very politely but it is all gimmick !
Obviously like all reviews some one will add the default response to the review :-)

Fundamentally misleading marketing

Edit: DO NOT PURCHASE FOR SAFETY REASONS. After fitting the final bar light yesterday, I believe this product to be dangerous. The specific issue here was the connection of two cables that had been simply wrapped together and covered with a rubber clip. Both these clips came loose and, had I not noticed and bought/fitted a proper housing, would have led to the live and neutral cables connecting or sparking. Considering that this sits inside a wooden box, this could easily could a cause fire, and not just the circuit to short/trip. The company also tried the question the validity of this review.

Sadly, exactly the same experience as everyone else.

Positves:
The lights were delivered (eventually) and do work. Well packaged if you're happy with large amounts of plastic tape which make it very difficult to recycle the boxes.

Negatives:
Quality overall is pretty poor. Lights are not 'warm' as we selected, but a cool/blue white. Our lights took over a month to arrive and I had no idea they would be shipped direct from China, not the Netherlands as suggested on the website.

Scam

Scam. They claim products are designed in the Netherlands and made by artisans in Europe but the quality is terrible, products arrive damaged, and they look nothing like the photos. I tried tracing their address and their page says says New Mexico but the larger company is registered in the UK. Has all the elements of a scam....

Liars, do not believe what their customer service team agree to

Mysalights delivered a faulty and damaged light shade. I decided to use the store credit from the damaged light shade and add some more to get a more expensive light.

Due to the damaged one received previously I asked Mysalights to agree to refund me if I wasn't satisfied with the new shade. The did this, and I have an email in writing to this effect.

When the time came, the new light shade looked nothing like the picture on their website. The style and shape was completely different, it was bulky, mis-shaped and uneven.

The colour on the website was a lovely shade of bronze, but what was delivered was black and plastic.

It is my belief that this company is using imagery from different designs, creating a poor copy and attempting to sell as the original.

I can't add photos unfortunately but I wish I could share the differences from the website to what was delivered.

Unethical company, please avoid and save your money, time and stress.

Scam

Exactly the same experience as the vast majority of reviewers. Scam involving misleading delivery estimates, followed by the very late delivery of cheaply made rubbish that they then try to convince you to keep by offering discounts or requiring expensive returns to Amsterdam. AVOID!!!!

Update: hilariously they reply as below, then in the background try to delete the review as harmful or abusive content. Please do avoid!!

Items haven't arrived after 3 weeks

2nd Edit:
They repeatedly offer 50% refund if I take down this review (to be paid once the review is deleted) and eventually stopped replying all together. No resolution from them.

Edit:
It has now arrived (3 weeks later) and is not safe or fit for purpose. It's described online as an outdoor light with used manual but there's no manual, no safety markings, no IP rating to confirm outdoor use. It has tiny wires with the ends exposed and no junction box. I have again requested a full refund and I can return the items at their expense but not my own - they are defective and unsafe. Definitely not as described or for for purpose.

I made an order October 23rd and sadly didn't check reviews before I did. It's now mid November, nothing has arrived. They provide two tracking links which gives different information so I have no idea where my package is. The Evri link shows no movement since October 31st and Evri are making Enquiries into the package being lost. Mysalights are not helpful at all and keep saying it's on its way but provide no evidence of this. I have my electrician booked but they won't be here in time or at all. Other reviews state it's bad quality but I obviously cant comment. I have been asking for a refund for days now as the lights are lost but they refuse to help. They are offering 10% off but I have no item??? I wish I never bought them. I spent £200 and they won't refund me and can't show any evidence of where the lights are but it's been 3 weeks so it's beyond a joke now. AVOID!

SCAM!!

SCAM!!! No refund provided ongoing from August ‘25 for poor quality goods. Beware! Ordered 2 marshmallow pink ceiling lights, they arrived , thin wires, no connectors or instructions. Returns process is a farce , several emails including pictures and main concerns and a customer service advisor giving my electrician instructions on how to use different wiring to the one provided to fit before I eventually got a returns address. Followed the address and instructions provided to return at a cost of 69 pounds to me and the lights arrived in Netherlands but now supposedly on way back to me???? DO NOT USE unless you like throwing away money.

Stay away from this website

Stay away from this website. What a scam. The products are shipped from china and take ages to be delivered. The quality is very very poor, all plastic and cheap looking.
It's a fuss to return, they try to offer you a refund of 25% if you keep the products, or 50% discount on your next order.

Scam

Scam! Giving 1 star as there is no option to give none. The light I ordered doesn’t look anything like the picture and when it arrived after nearly 3 weeks, it was broken! Won’t refund without paying further to ship, only option is to get another light free of charge and keep the broken one! That would be ok if the light was a good standard and looked like the photo! Don’t waste your money!

Reconsider before ordering

Reconsider before ordering. It’s a scam. 6 weeks wait on a product they’re sold out of. No option on getting your money back. But you’re more than welcome to use the money your spend on their webshop. You’ll even get to spend a bit more. It’s a literal scam. You won’t see your product or your money.

Edit: The scammers responded to this and made refund. I’m apparently asked for information to let this stay

If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero stars I would! After a long wait the light arrived so damaged that it could not be used. The company are incredibly reluctant to offer a refund and repeatedly make the process more difficult with each email. Please don’t respond advising to contact customer services… we have had regular emails with no support or help.

Addendum added after reply from company - order under my husband’s email and name. Number #2768. Shocked that we have to pay for the return (to the Netherlands) even though I have provided photos of the significant damage to the lamp before it arrived with us. It is so dented and scratched that it is not fit for use. Will the refund also cover the cost of our return?
