Service Just a Call Away

Service is reliable, prompt, friendly and reasonably priced. Have used for airport pickup in Traverse City on Sunday evenings when other taxis not available. Now it's the call I make when I need a cab anytime.

Awful

Awful
I have accidentally left airpods twice (!) in the back of mytaxi cabs in Dublin. Both times I realised immediately and attempted to call the driver & my calls were cancelled. The help feature on the App is terrible - it is automated and gives no customer service number or email.

Awful

Awful. Charged me €5 for the driver cancelling a trip. He never turned up I waited and waited. He never even phoned yet he cancels and I get charged for it….. bizarre! Total scam of a service is think twice using my taxi in the future

DON'T USE THIS SERVICE

DON'T USE THIS SERVICE. Although the concept is good, if you run into any issues like I did, good luck with the customer support. No phone numbers and it took 1.5 months to resolve, bear in mind I haven't got my refund into my account yet, so I will be updating this review if it doesn't come in. I ordered a taxi for my friend from my app on my phone and I was charged €9.20 plus €0.50. The driver then charged the couple in the region of €14.00 cash. When I contacted mytaxi I was bombarded with questions about my debit card number, my details and so on even though I have all this on their account. I was appointed a support called Conor, I think they are all called Conor to be honest because Conor kept writing to me asking me the same questions and several emails later would ask the same questions as he did in email number 3. A complete sham, don't stress out by using this firm, use Lynks Taxi's instead. Never ever again would I go through this stressful process with mytaxi. I just want it noted that not once did mytaxi apologise to me for this inconvenience and over charge. COP ON AND UPDATE YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE

Had an absolutely horrible experience…

Had an absolutely horrible experience with mytaxi driver in Berlin. He firstly picked us up with the meter already running at 6.90€, charging us 16€ for a trip thst should have cost half. When questioned about this he became irate and made racist and derogatory remarks at us! He said something about Africans n then when we all voiced our disapproval of this remark, he pulled over forced us out and called a friend of mine a slut! This isn't the end of this, I will take this as far as i can. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. Unacceptable

mytaxi illegally supports drivers who ransom their customers; I was locked in the back of a taxi until forced to pay with cash 300% the rate quoted by mytaxi. When confronted, my taxi said they were sorry--here are two vouchers for 20 euro each--that should cover the amount we quoted you. The taxi driver wanted 100 extra euro because his drive went 27 minutes out of the way to pick me up from Pompeii, and mytaxi is backing this behavior. They have not refunded me a cent, saying that they just cant refund me. Everything is in order. Sorry, not this time. I will gladly forward the dozens of garbage email correspondence they use to circumvent the dishonest customer service they provide. Not only do they double charge (and in my case knowingly triple-underestimate the rate), they are illegally profiting from these double charges. For example, the taxi driver will charge you to get back into the metro area, doubling the rate. Then he will turn the mytaxi app back on, start the meter, and charge the next victim for the same leg of the trip. mytaxi refuses to comment on this illegal practice.

So bad at dealing with complaints over…

So bad at dealing with complaints over extremely high fares and indirect longer routes to straightforward places. Cut and paste emails and no answer from number. Charging LOTS of extras this Christmas. Drivers DO NOT know where they're going. I recommend using a different app or hail taxis on street in Dublin.

Don't expect help if something goes wrong

Lost my wallet in the taxi and immediately went on the app - no way of contacting the driver or the company directly; filled out a missing item form, and now 10 hours later have had no response, despite my follow-ups; for all I know I'm going to be waiting for days and there is nothing to be done to get in touch with them. AVOID!!!

Absolutely abysmal service. Stay away from MyTaxi!

This app looks great and obviously, a lot of venture capital was poured into the UIX & design. The problem is, with the actual service itself. I have now ordered 3 taxis from my apartment in Barcelona. It is located just off La Rambla. None of the taxis actually turned up. When I phoned one of the driver, he said he wasn't coming despite seeing that his car was parked about 5 minutes away on another street. The question is, did I get charged for these taxis, as I had my PayPal account linked into the App? I have now removed my PayPal account from the app, because I have no idea how their payment funnel actually works? And, worse still, there does not seem to be any contact number to the app's customer service department, which I presume actually exists? All in all, this is a terrible service and should be monitored closely by trading standards. Stay well away from MyTaxi and stick to Uber.

Great concept complete waste of time…

Great concept complete waste of time failed at the first hurdle i signed up with these jokers which includes submitting my card details. Booked taxi at 15.30 hrs for a 17.00 hrs pick up. At 17.00hrs i get a message stating no taxis available because they are busy. My point is they had 1.5 hrs to find a car. Never the less i ended up booking a conventional taxi.

Just simply pay well for your UX …

Just simply pay well for your UX designers. I was in the middle of nowhere trying to figure out what was happening with the app. Hire the Hailo people. You'll save money on the long run. Even taxi drivers aren't happy with the UX. Jeisus. Cope on.
