With my 10-year-old battery in my travel scoot I was worried about taking it abroad. Their UK agent in Watford were very helpful in giving me guidance and supplied the new battery within 48 hours which complies with flight regulations.

I received my new battery within 24hours; this was really helpful.
Good all round service
Good telephone response; arranged prompt collection and re-delivery of my Scoot for minor repair. Good all round experience, and very pleased with our Scoot which we have owned for past two years,
Love the Deluxe, the Escape can tip over
I have been a user of a Travelscoot from 2010 to 2025. I really like the concept of this scooter, 3 wheeler but coasts as well. That concept is so important for getting in, around and out of shops and other small spaces. Also it is incredibly light and the motor is powerful
I bought the Escape Travelscoot but discovered the wheelbase of the new model is 2,5 inches narrower than the Deluxe. This is enough to make it unstable on uneven pavements and where there is a slight camber that must be crossed such as a driveway which drops from pavement height to road height.
I must point out that I have Multiple Sclerosis and this has led to a poor sense of balance. If the Escape model had the same wheelbase width as the Deluxe then there would be no issue with the stability.
No one from Travelscoot warned me the Escape is narrower than the Deluxe. The Escape has tipped over because of its inherent instability on uneven pavements. I know of one other person who has suffered similar problems to me she also has MS and poor balance. Both of us must buy a different mobility scooter that has a wider wheelbase. ,

The best lightweight foldable mobility scooter there it is
I found walking any distance became a problem. At that time we owned a motorhome, and as we went abroad a lot parking was not always right where you wanted it to be so I needed to get some sort of mobility scooter to allow me to visit these places. I was very fortunate in that a member of a group that I belong to recommended the Travelscoot this was about four or five years ago, he had had one for about 13 years if I remember, he explained that it folded up very small and was the lightest available And that he was sure it would suit me. I trusted this friend and I managed to buy one and I have never ever regretted it. When they bought out the new escape, I had a good look at it online and saw that it had a different slightly narrower back and to me personally an easier way to fold. But the deluxe it’s a lot narrower when folded, but for me, I decided to upgrade to the latest model, and sold mine to a friend who I also knew through motor homing.
This is a fantastic model to use, but you do need a certain amount of central core and I think to have some mobility.
The other benefit of this model, as you can fly with it as the batteries that they use have been tested for airflight. It is also I am told excellent for cruise ships. However, I have not tried the latter at this time.
I would highly recommend it. The distributors in the UK our 2nd to none when it comes to Help. There are about 30 videos on YouTube about it, how to maintain it, how to carry it, et cetera.
Mobility freedom
It fits in the car boot. It is light and easy to handle. The Sandringham 5 k your way group (cancer patients who walk the Sandringham Park Run) were visited by the King recently. He spoke to each of us and was interested to hear about my TravelScoot Escape. I lashed out and bought a spare silver battery to give me a greater range.
So many people notice it and ask for details when I am out and about. New interest new friends and it has given me mobility freedom.
Fun and nice looking
I can't fault mytravelscoot.co.uk I ordered by phone and discussed the configuration I wanted (different seat) and it was here the following day. I passed through a crowd of teenage boys and one of them called after me "Is that electric?""That's really cool!". I do wish Travelscoot hadn't discontinued the Deluxe version as that folded up smaller and the cloth caddy was longer and higher off the ground. I also have a bit of range anxiety so I will upgrade the battery to go further. If it ever did fail, there is no handle to pull it along, folded up. I just need to plan my trips :)
This product is a 'game changer'
This product is a 'game changer' for me! The TravelScoot allows me to go for walks with family, shop in large stores, travel overseas, and even give rides to others on the 'extension seat'! Some kids think it's a cool tricycle. It easily fits in my car. The folk at TravelScoot were knowledgeable about their products and accessories, patient and helpful demonstrating things for us. It's a terrific product for anyone who has the balance to get onto it, and enough hand strength to use the brakes.
Life Changer!
This scooter has opened up our world - due to my decreased mobility we were not travelling as much as we had and when we did we took either a heavy electric wheelchair or the one my husband had to push - neither was great! Then on a cruise we met a lady on a scoot - by the time we reached Sydney we had hired one for our stay and had one on order for our return to the UK. The service from this small firm has been excellent- nothing is too much trouble, fast to reply to emails and dispatch items and even great for my annual service! Just cannot say how much this has changed my life as well as my husband’s as we can be independent of each other yet explore - from the cobblestones of Quebec to the paths of Iceland with so many places already scooted - so many more to come! Just cannot say how much I recommend both the company and the scoot!
Smart, Functional No Frills, Obedient, Reliable best friend
Snazzy scooter. Very manoeuvrable, lightweight, classy-looking. In 6 years I’ve never bumped into anyone as the steering is very nifty, even in crowds.
I wish it had a little tow-truck for shopping. And a mirror for reversing. And an inbuilt lock. But aside from those three improvements I’m very happy with the Scoot. You do need to have an ability to grip the brakes, as on a bike. The brakes themselves are fair, but on a very steep hill, would advise someone holds your coat for safety. In the UK our pavements are often in poor shape, patched, tree roots, manholes etc, so very uneven. and the camber is often very steep towards the road. The Scoot-ride is therefore often bumpy, and can feel a bit precarious, hence the need for a sense of balance, and an outstretched foot, but that’s not the fault of the`Scoot which is made for smooth hard surfaces, like city pavements, decks, hotels, asphalt cycle paths etc. it struggles with wet grass or shingle paths - which The National Trust favour.
I now find the Scoot hard to fold as the retractable bolts for erecting and collapsing it are quite stiff, (fingers increasingly too,) but WD40 helps with bolts,(not fingers) and keeps the brakes from squeaking. Although the odd squeak does help other people be aware you are approaching from behind, as it is virtually silent.
All in all a brilliant gadget. And I never need to use the backrest, so it is even lighter to carry without that.
Servicing is easy and quick, collected one day, returned the next, but I’ve never had a puncture or broken down. Which is pretty good going in 6 years. I upgraded to the larger battery so I could travel further. I very much like the fact that this trike is basic, no frills, not a lot to go wrong, and a functional, funky design. It prevents people feeling sorry for you because it’s modern and intriguing. So conversations are pleasantly upbeat, and whizzing around a flat city centre, along a river, or round an art gallery is wonderful for uplifting the spirits. Clever stuff. Recommend this for anyone who can stand up to get on, can squeeze to stop, and enjoys the wind in their hair.

The TravelScoot is great for allowing me to go further than I can walk, and for going round museums and galleries. It is ideal for aircraft, and so light that it can be carried up escalators when the lifts don’t work. It is pretty stable and strong too.
Excellent piece of kit

I feel confident that the work is done well.
I feel that the company care.

I have owned a travelscoot for over 4 years and love it to bits. Easy to travel with, easy to lift into the car boot, easy to maintain, easy to ride even if constantly looking for a dropped kerb! The pavements are in a shocking condition but no probs for the TS. I recommend the TS to all especially world travellers.

I’ve always had them serviced my scooter. And I’ve been pleased with the service. always kindand go out of their way to do things right for you.. P.S.
I’ve now become more disabled that I need a bigger scooter so I have two TRAVESCOOTS to sell. Always been so pleased with my Travel scoot.

I hired a TravelScoot whilst visiting Hamburg recently, having had it delivered to my hotel. I was already aware of the company and the scooter so it was a perfect opportunity to try it out. The visit was a great success and my friends were able to walk briskly wherever we went, so I didn’t feel I was ever holding up proceedings. Hamburg has areas of granite cobbles but the Scooter coped well with all the different surfaces in the city. I was able to drive it everywhere in my hotel, including the lifts and as it had a reverse gear, lifts were also easy to leave! It quickly folded to go in taxis, the battery lasted all day long and it was incredibly manoeuvrable. The variable speed accelerator was a godsend in crowded areas, no matter how slowly people were moving. All round my experience was excellent.
Over 5 year ownership and going fine.g
My wife has had a travel scoot well over 5 years. It has changed her life in that she is much more independently mobile. We have taken it on aircraft and the ability to drive to the cabin door is brilliant as we no longer have to hand around for assistance. We have also taken it on cruise ships. It's light weight even allows it to be taken onto a tender where ship docking is not possible. It's even done two river cruises. In fairness have to say, as it's only one wheel drive it struggles on damp/wet grass and really loose shingle paths. It's impractical on stoney paths but tarmac is fine. It manages slopes but runs out of puff on steep slopes. It folds up easily, if necessary to go into the boot of a car and it's light weight makes it easy to lift in.
When she drives it round she is often stopped and asked questions and told it does not really look like a disability scooter. It's never let us down so far but have had to replace the battery. Certainly gets used a lot. You do need some walking ability, to get on and off, particularly if there is a kerb with no drop or over steps.
It's well worth it to us.
They know what’s what about TravelScoot’s
Being one of the first English buyers of the marvelous Travelscoot from the United States, purchasing first the mark 1, with no reverse gear, then the mark 2, that does have reverse selection, after many years of loyal service on my travels around the globe, it was in need of a service and safety check.
For years, the drawback was that the then owner of the company refused to franchise his company, preferring to control it where he lived.
Various reasons why, but thankfully now we have a a UK agent in Watford, Hertfordshire.
They serviced my ‘Steed’ as I call it and added the updates I needed to bring it more in line with the TravelScoot’s being sold today, albeit with a completely different folding mechanism and configuration.
The marks 1 & 2 fold into an ‘in-line’ bundle, to suit the designers wish to store in an aircraft locker and those being manufactured now fold into a flat triangle shape. The former, whilst not so easy to fold, is easier to stow in any car. The latter takes up more floor space and could be more difficult to transport in a small vehicle.
Should you require a mark 2, then contact Travelscoot in Watford, as they often have fully serviced/updated ones for sale.
In closing, I have no reservation about recommending the Travelscoot outlet in Watford, as they are very friendly and helpful and know what’s what about the unique Travelscoot mobility scooter.
By the way - many time I have heard young children and even teenagers say to a parent as I zoomed past “Mummy/Daddy, I want one of those!” as they are ‘super cool’
