Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 115 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers reported being unknowingly enrolled in recurring subscriptions, typically for around £79 or €79, after a small initial payment. These significant charges were often not clearly disclosed on the website or during the transaction. Reviewers frequently found it difficult to obtain full refunds for these unauthorized subscriptions, often receiving only partial amounts. However, some people mentioned that the initial small payment for services like fast track or check-in often did not work as expected. Many also had to involve their banks to block unauthorized charges or dispute transactions, sometimes requiring card cancellations.

Scam

Same as everyone else - I was lead to My Trip Online via KLM's check in and therefore thought I was continuing with the online check in.
At no point in the process did it clearly state that I was entering a free trial, nor that I would be charged 79 Euros. The company refuses to refund more than 20%.
Scamming and shameful company.

Online travel website error charges

I bought an online museum from this website. Later on there was an erroneous charge for additional 79 euros from this website which I had not authorized. Case is still pending. Pls avoid this website at all costs.

Stay away from MyTripOnline

Stay away from MyTripOnline - they are fraud!

I was doing check-in for my travel to US (tickets not booked through them!). The (sponsored) website asked my card details to validate identity. Charged me £1 which was ok but after 3 days, they charged me £79 whilst I was travelling / was abroad. When I came back to the UK, I contacted MyTripOnline call centre and they said, it’s covered as part of their terms and condition. They never said on their website that they would charge £79 for using any service. The cancellation policy is a joke – it’s just 3 days! (i.e. the time when people are travelling / not available / abroad to raise any dispute). The call centre agent refused to pay back £79 stating the refund is within 3 days. I have raised fraud dispute with my bank. MyTripOnline should be ashamed of their dishonest and unfair act.

Without doubt. The absolute worst travel company.

Worst company I have ever dealt with!
Changed my supposed BA flights to Iberia Air, without telling me. Contact centre is less than useless. Charged me an extra £79 for boarding passes without my consent.
I am in Argentina, just waiting to see how they try and rip me off next.
Please avoid at all costs!!!!!

I had a similar experience to other users....paid €1 to try the service, I have no memory of signing up for a subscription but £79 was attempted to be taken from my bank account when I was in the air. My bank contacted me to check if the debit was authorized & I explained to them that it was NOT. My bank then froze my account until the direct debit was cancelled. But this fraudulent company has refused to act after repeated requests. They are criminals.

SCAM!

SCAM!
They sadly took off 79 euros from my account, when i talked to their customer service they said its a 3 month subscription, so i told them i never gave consent to anything like that, then they sent me an email from an address which my gmail showed "its a scamming e-mail". I filed a police report, cancelled my card the new one is on the way, and disputed the charges at my bank, which thankfully, they approved so i got my money back, but they will investigate the matter. Honestly its sad that people scamming others, especially those one who are in a rush with the check-in.

Bad experience

I had a similar experience to other users....paid €1 to try the service, I have no memory of signing up for a subscription but €79 was taken from my account shortly afterwards. I explained to them that the sign up was in error, and I had not used their service, but they refused to reimburse me.

This is fraud!

This is fraud!
Their window pops up when you go to check in through the official Eurowings website. Then they inform you that you have to pay 1 British Pound and confirm that by email.
Only when you check your credit card statement, you see that they charged $106.75!!
For What ??!
This is a deceptive practice and fraud in my mind,
Shame on Eurowings for allowing this to go on!

Unauthorized charge of €79 – no transparency

I used Check-in My Trip Online to pay €1 for a flight check-in. A few days later, €79 was charged to my card without any clear notification or authorization. I never agreed to a subscription or received any confirmation of such a service.

I contacted customer service and was only offered a 20% refund, which I rejected. I am currently waiting for a full refund and will update this review accordingly if the situation is resolved.

Be very careful with this platform. These practices are misleading and borderline deceptive.

Fraud and potential credit card hack

SCAM + FRAUD - Let me explain.
We were about to check in to a flight with Wizzair on their website and were redirected to the mytriponline.com website. The mytriponline.com demanded we pay €1, using a credit card, to be issued the required boarding passes.
This in itself is questionable and we have contacted Wizzair why we need a third party to be issued a boarding pass. They have yet to respond.
The following day our credit card had a pending payment of €79 which was flagged as potentially fraudulent, which it was, by Wise and was declined. Two days later the €79 was again claimed on our credit card and was pending for ~24hours, and again we contacted Wise about it. Wise gave us the normal explanation of contacting the merchant to ask for a refund.
When we contacted mytriponline.com they told us they could not help us as they said there was no record of us on their database.
The €79 was then debited from our credit card and Wise told us that as we had subscribed to the mytriponline.com site, which we had not, they could not help us.
To add insult to the theft our credit card also had a recurring payment to mytriponline.com set up without our knowledge or approval.
It appears that by simply opening an email or making one small payment and supplying your details mytriponline.com can commit fraud and scam users out of substantial amounts without no acknowledgement by the client.
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
According to Google - "No, Wizz Air does not automatically redirect users to mytriponline, com for boarding passes. Wizz Air has its own online check-in process where you can obtain your boarding pass. If you encounter a redirect to mytriponline during your Wizz Air check-in, it is likely a scam."
