Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 115 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers reported being unknowingly enrolled in recurring subscriptions, typically for around £79 or €79, after a small initial payment. These significant charges were often not clearly disclosed on the website or during the transaction. Reviewers frequently found it difficult to obtain full refunds for these unauthorized subscriptions, often receiving only partial amounts. However, some people mentioned that the initial small payment for services like fast track or check-in often did not work as expected. Many also had to involve their banks to block unauthorized charges or dispute transactions, sometimes requiring card cancellations.

Total subscription trap

Total subscription trap. They only disclose that you are paying the one off £1 fee for checking in, but do not disclose that you are signing up to a free trail period which will automatically transfer to a paid subscription service for £79 per month 4 days later, so they just take the money out of your account. Customer support are refusing to refund the money despite the blatant mis-selling.

Beware of the 79€ subscription charge!!

Beware of the 79€ subscription charge!!

I was happy to pay €11 for the Airport Fast Track voucher, but had no intention of paying for a 3-monthly subscription.
The €79 subscription charge is hidden in the fine print - which most people, like myself, are unaware of, untill the deduction is made from our account.

This is unscrupulous. I await the cancellation confirmation.

Scam travel company

Agree with all comments. This is a scam so completely avoid. Luckily my bank spotted this as a dodgy company and asked me to verify £79 payment before it left my account.

SCAM - DO NOT USE

SCAM - DO NOT USE

Have never done a review before but this farcical company has made me.

Like a cartoon scam company they ask for a £1 payment but in the small print you are auto signing up for a £79 subscription.

You only have three days to cancel - so if you see this, make sure you cancel instantly.

Awful, awful company whose revenue clearly only comes through catching people out with this.

SCAMMERS – STAY AWAY OR YOU'LL REGRET IT!

This company is an absolute disgrace. I booked a rome colosseum with them ONCE, and suddenly they charged me €79 without any warning, no email, no explanation – NOTHING. I never agreed to any membership, subscription, or extra service. This is pure theft.

They are scamming people in broad daylight. It’s disgusting that they can operate like this. I’ve contacted my bank to block them permanently, and I’m filing a police report for fraud. If you value your money and peace of mind, STAY FAR AWAY.

Unashamed scam

Same experience as the rest of the posts here. I went online to check in with Lufthansa, then was redirected to their site to pay one euro for doing so. I assumed it was an external service Lufthansa was using, until 3 days later MyTrip Online took 79 euro from my account for a 'subscription' I was unaware of. My bank (BBVA) told me to negotiate a refund with the company. After much back and forth they have agreed to refund 20%. However I very much doubt this will ever arrive and I don't want them to have my credit card details. Instead will report them as a fraud to Visa.

Do not share your credit card info with mytriponline.

Don not pay even 1 dollar through Mytriponline. Do not do your check in there. As soon as you share your card info they will automatically signed up to something you are not even aware of and then they continously charge you huge amount of mony in our case 128 Cad dollar from an account in Nicosia. Do not trust them.

TOTAL SCAM

TOTAL SCAM. Don't pay £1 or 1 EURO. If you do go straight to your bank and block this company.
They will attempt to take £79 via some sort of regular subscription, which you have not knowingly signed up to.
I was trying to check in online for a flight, which sent me through to a link to this company. You think you are doing the right thing at the time.
Thankfully, my bank SANTANDER sent me a message blocking my-trip-online from taking £79.
I called my bank, but they mentioned about issues with parent companies attempting to take payment from my credit card details. Therefore, I cancelled my credit card.

SCAMMERS

SCAMMERS. Booked a flight to Spain via Skyscanner, who proceeded to take me to Booking.com where I was told I needed to pay £1.00 to MyTripOnline to "check in" which I thought nothing of!! Within two weeks they have taken £79 twice from my bank account. Looking back I should have taken more care when it said Mytriponline were based in Nicosia.

Scam. Raise a dispute with you bank immediately

Somehow I redirect to this shady website when doing my checkin. I was asked to pay £1 to confirm my card details, 4 days later I woke up to a £79 charge for additional checkin. They operate on a subscription bases - £79 every 3 months, wether you fly or not. I don't understand how is this legal.

Terrible AVOID AVOID AVOID

Terrible. I purchase Eiffel Tower tickets. No mention of a subscription. They emailed me to say they could not give me the tickets for the Eiffel Tower so I requested a refund. They refunded me less than I paid and then charged me for a subscription I was not made aware of.
Their terms and conditions state that if they cannot fulfil the order, they will not take payment. Well the did! And a lot more than I agreed too. I contacted them and pointed out their contract terms and they have still refused to refund me. I have raised a complaint and disputed the payment in the credit card.

AVOID THIS TERRIBLE COMPANY.

Possible fraud and lousy customer service??

I was promised an online checkin through Mytriponline. It was never done, so I had to abandon it. Now I keep getting messages from my bank telling me about a Mytriponline booking on my credit card for the sum of 79 Euros which is cancelled. The address is listed as Nicosia, Cyprus. This looks suspicious. There is no response from customer services, despite repeated requests.

SCAM ALERT!!!

SCAM ALERT!!!! SCAM ALERT!!! I was trying to check into a flight and this phishing came up - its name was very similar to the organisation I had booked my ticket through. I had to pay 1euro - after paying it I realised it was a scam - they instantly requested more money - I said no - unfortunately they already had my bank details - next thing i see 79 euro withdrawn from my account. I NEVER SIGNED UP FOR A SUBSCRIPTION!!! IT HAS TAKEN A LOT OF EFFORT TO CANCEL

Scam. Avoid.

I have tried to buy a fast track pass in an airport. The fast track came way too late, so that was useless to start with. But then somehow they enrolled me in some membership programme and tried to charge me 79 a few days later. Luckily my bank (Monzo) stopped the payment and asked me about it. Avoid!

An online scam from an unethical…

An online scam from an unethical company!
I was in a rush to check in online an inadvertently clicked on this page without actually understanding that I was not checking out on the airlines page. I ended up being charged £1 and it wasn't until a few days later, when £79 was extracted from my bank did the penny drop.
Still unsure what I signed up for and unclear what service they provide (as I still had to check in in person for my flight).
Company have agreed to refund 20% of the fee I paid even though I did not knowingly pay for a check in service (check in on airlines is free btw!) and I never received the service paid for.

It is a reflection of modern times where companies are happy to scam people out of money with click bait links.

They will STILL charge even if the subscription is cancelled

I was trying to book Museum' tickets for my Paris trip with my partner, and found a site through Google Maps called “Places to Go” linking to "My-Trip-Online" (not related to Mytrip.com) — it looked like a good deal (10 euros cheaper for 2 ppl), even included audio guide tours, so I went for it. When I placed the order, I noticed there was a sneaky checkbox hidden in the terms binding with the normal terms — agreeing to a subscription term that would charge €79 if you didn’t cancel in time. A scam. No big deal. I’ll just make sure to cancel it in time.
A bit later, their customer service emailed me saying:
"Sorry, no tickets available that day. Want to pick a different date?"

But I was only in Paris for 2 days, so I said no thanks, please refund the tickets. They did it.
I also got the subscription thing canceled and never use their service again.

Then... a few days later they still charged me €79.

I emailed them, and instead of admitting they messed up, they were like: "It seems you don't like our service. Here’s 20% back as a goodwill refund. You won't be charged next time."

Seriously? They totally ignored the fact that everything has been cancelled and their own cancellation terms, and just kept pretending I didn’t like the service. We repeated the conversation several times. They alway said "I am not satisfied with the service" and they were only willing to give the partial refund.

SCAM beaware,

SCAM beaware,
Unauthorized charge and poor customer service — Beware!:
I only wanted to book a museum ticket,
They have cancelled the booking last minute and left me with no solution, tried to call customer service they were very rude and hanged the phone my face!
The next day I was shocked to find an unexpected charge of on my account from Mytrip.com without receiving any booking confirmation or service. I never authorized this payment, and when I reached out to their customer service, I got no meaningful response or assistance.
I tried multiple times to get a refund or even a clear explanation, but my requests were ignored.
I strongly caution anyone considering booking through Mytrip to be very careful. Monitor your bank accounts closely, and if you see any suspicious charges, act quickly.
