Still owed £100 but they won't pay

Still owed £100 but they won't pay, owed from Nov 22. I'm fighting anxiety and depression. I don't have the fight to keep on at them or go through the courts. I recently has major surgery, then 3 months later lost my mother. This company has no compassion, continuously scams people, closes one company then opens another doing the same thing over and over.

Avoid - Scam

If I could put 0 I would. Avoid this company like the plague it is a complete scam. Paid for a recruitment stand in Glasgow in August for event in November for it to be cancelled last minute so asked for a refund. Every email sent to them bounces back as being undeliverable, website is currently under construction and the telephone number beeps and then cuts out.

Stay away !

Well what can i say the other reviews have spoken for me, we have had the exact same experience, we have booked an event paid in full for it to be canceled twice and funds to be held at ransom until another event shows up, to which we haven't had communication for the best part of 18 months....

If a company cannot realize their behavior has resulted this many negative experiences it really should review the way its working and try improving them and not defending something that is visibly not working.

My strong advice is stay well clear and keep your money, and check services thoroughly before handing over your money.

HORRENDOUS

SCAM. Paid for a stand at an outdoor event that was cancelled due to their damaged equipment. Was told we would have the opportunity to rebook this year - now uncontactable. Really poor communication and customer service.

We went with this company when it was The Themed Events company who went into liquidation, they now operate under this name and took our money then cancelled the event without a refund.
Today they have called again promising to showcase our business etc. its a scam. they don't exist on Companies House!

I had a phone call earlier in the year…

I had a phone call earlier in the year saying I’d get promotion in all the magazines till the end of the year . I’ve just had another phone call telling me I have to pay £295 for the next edition , and that in the contract that I should have read I had to make 4 payments , and my case will be passed on to debt collection I wasn’t told this on the first phone call . Avoid this company

Made a payment of £175 in February

Made a payment of £175 in February. It's been 9months of back and forth. Event has been cancelled 5times. I have been promised a refund twice but nothing asides apologies. As a small business owner, it's a huge loss for me but I would call ten times a day if I have to until I get a refund. I should have checked reviews before proceeding. Very sad. It's a very novel kind of scam. I'm amazed

DONT GIVE UP

DONT GIVE UP! GET YOUR REFUND!
I’ve had the same problem, paid £150 for an event, got cancelled in March and they offered me something in December. They said they would refund but didn’t and I called relentlessly day after day and I didn’t give up until they gave me my refund. At first they said they would do £50 a month (a load of rubbish about how they couldn’t afford it and they’ve taken over the company or whatever), they didn’t do it. Then they said they would give me £25 a week, they didn’t do it until I chased it up again, and I was calling every day at this point. They finally started paying and then stopped after giving me £100 back saying she was having personal health issues with her husband but that’s not my problem so I called again and again until they finally sent the remaining £50. You have to just keep calling and threatening the court. Once they have agreed the refund that is their new terms and conditions so don’t let them threaten you by saying they can just refer back to the T’s & C’s because they legally can’t. Don’t be afraid to take them to the small claims court because they’re either really rubbish at their job or they’re just con artists.

SCAM - DO not touch this bogus company

SCAM! Do not touch!

They prey on small businesses, operating fraudulently. They contact you to say they are holding a local event to showcase local businesses, however, when checking with the venue they have never heard of such event. They then provide you with some BS story that the company is being acquired and all events are 'postponed'. Reported to the police and trading standards!! Do not touch these absolute cretins!!

Scammers!! Avoid!!

Avoid! I stupidly did not do my research and check out reviews...National Promotions have no social media presence and shocking reviews...if only I'd checked! Luckily I am only £100 out of pocket but it's the principle. I was charged £100 to attend an event that was apparently - according to the venue - cancelled before I had even paid my money! They prey on small businesses...as if it's not difficult enough already!! They have promised my money several times and - obviously - I have received nothing. I've considered the small claims court but this will just be more money and time down the drain. JUST AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

SCAMMERS - Do not purchase

Turned up with 4 staff for a promo day - no sign of anyone. Another venue we signed up for has been pushed back 4 times. Website looks like it was knocked up in 5 minutes. No sign of NP or Sheila Sainsbury on Companies House.

Still waiting for refund after 16 months

I left a review about failure to refund after a cancelled event (Jan 23) which at least prompted a response from National Promotions and a promise to pay. A comment was left on the review to say the matter was now settled. Sad to say that as of today I am still chasing my refund. I was sent an email on 3rd July to say the payment was on its way (within 60 days). Maybe I am in a different time/space continuum, but 16th October and I am still out of pocket. You call and simply get excuses.

IGNORE-SCAM

IGNORE - SCAM_SCAM_SCAM

Just as the ones before me I was very naive as it all sounded nice especially if you are staring your business they will convince you to sign up.
No company name nor headed logo on any documents. Refusing to refund and still waiting on postponed event.
IGNORE AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!

Everyone beware of this company.

Everyone beware of this company.

If you need to take them to court you need to issue the court proceedings to Roger Sulley which is the owner. This company is sole trader so does not have a company number. The posting address they use is just a office space in a building. Roger has owned another events company before this one in which he dissolved.
