National Promotions 

I attended an event earlier in the year and within the hour packed up and left. The event wasn’t as advertised, no member of the team present and they had booked in any old companies whether relevant or not. Over 80% didn’t show up. (Baby Event, only other exhibitor was ‘Fat Dissolving’….).
Moving on 6mth later even though I was offered a refund which hasn’t arrived. Constant calls and being fobbed off. It’s only £200 but it’s principle.
I finally gave up and submitted a Small Claims. They asked for a 14 day extension and then didn’t respond. They now have been issued a CCJ.
This company think that because the amounts are so small people will ‘go away’. They are thieves and liars. It’s the best £35 I’ve spent to give their company a bad mark.
I advise everyone to spend £35…issue a small claim. The court has now demanded my money back. If I don’t get it….so be it…but I’ve left my mark which they can’t remove.

Two years on, I am still waiting for a refund. They state that it's in the terms and conditions not to refund, and we will need to reschedule even after doing this on five prior occasions. They sent post-dated cheques that were then cancelled. The next step is court action!!

Charge to attend an event that lacked any promotion and was cancelled and rescheduled to the middle of nowhere. Ignoring emails and ghosted any issues aired. ANY BUSINESS AVOID!
Will not offer refund and will ignore emails and phone calls.
Be wiser than we were and DO YOUR RESEARCH - they have no SM presence and the reviews were here warning us.

Same story as everybody else, I’m a small business and was contacted by NP to attend an event in my local city, having only recently taken over the business I thought this would be a good way to get our name out there. Paid them £150.00 Event was cancelled and I’ve now been waiting 9 months for my refund! They sent me a cheque which they then later said I couldn’t pay in and have told me I should have my money by July but I’m not holding my breath! I will also be seeking legal advice and hopefully be able to get my money back

After months of lies and excuses I have started legal proceedings against them to reclaim money owed to me.

They scammed me.

I was contacted by this company offering me the opportunity to attend an exhibition for a fee of £300. I paid them by bank transfer as they requested, but I never received the services.
I received a short notification that the exhibition had been "postponed" a few days before the exhibition date in September 2022 (1 year and 9 months ago).
They have been telling me for over a year that the show has been delayed, not cancelled, and therefore they do not have to refund me! According to them, they can 'postpone' an exhibition at the last minute and still not be in breach of contract as long as they plan to do it at some point.
More than half a year ago they told me that as a "nice gesture" they would consider the exhibition to be cancelled and would therefore refund my money. They expected me to be very grateful for such a nice gesture.
They asked me to wait several months for a cheque, which I finally received. When I went to cash it, the bank told me there were no funds! They then suggested to pay me back in instalments instead, saying they did not have enough money to return it all at once. I accepted, but they did not send me any instalment at all. Now they are not even replying to my emails, even when I suggest both parties to use an 'Alternative Dispute Resolution'.

I'm now starting legal proceedings. It would be very helpful if any of you could share your experience of suing them, please.

the scam is to book events, take fees off small businesses, cancel the events - for some reason or another - offer other non suitable replacement events and then never re-paying fees, sending re fund cheques that bounce (while giving continuous ridiculous excuses) ....AVOID, AVOID, AVOID

Again same as others... cancelled the event and then offered an alternative in a different Town!
Keep saying it's in their Terms and we can't have a refund but we haven't signed any!

These are scammers. Booked an event with them paid £50 deposit. Event dates had changed which I couldn’t make and still waiting for my refund since Feb 24.
Doubt they organise anything. AVOID

Another one scammed! Paid in full in November 2023 to exhibit in the LIVING IN TORQUAY non existent event. No refund. Just excuses! stay well away.

Is this company a scam or just simply unreliable who knows but after having an event cancelled we were rebooked onto a new date. Arrived at the venue to set up only to be advised by the centre that national promotions had cancelled the event and failed to tell us. Requested a refund and they advised that they could either do this or rebook a new event. We stupidly agreed to book another event ... third time lucky hey?! WRONG we received the dreaded email that the event was cancelled (even though it was and still is listed on their website)
We said enough Is enough we want a refund. Originally the said no but after resending the email previously stating we could have a refund they finally agreed but would have to wait 60 days for them to contact us for our address to send a cheque. Almost 70 days later there has been no contact and now our emails are being ignored.
Avoid this company at all costs its not worth the stress

VERY DISAPPOINTED -

I have been waiting for a refund of £700 for 8 months now. I initially accepted repayment terms of £50 per week on more than 1 occasion and these have failed to be paid.

I have been MORE THAN patient, but as I am self employed, £700 is a lot of money to be owed and therefore I am commencing recovery of this money.

I had initially been impressed by the communication and even attended a successful event run by NP, so very disappointed that it has come to this.

Absolute scam!!! Avoid this company at all costs and don't give them any money!!

Been waiting seven months for a refund for an event that has been rescheduled four times. Each time, they say take forever to reply and keep saying the refund is coming in the next few weeks. The website is clearly fake, as is the social media.

Following on from my previous reviews, surprise surprise I still haven’t received my money. They have now had it for 5 months and I’ve been promised for the last 3 months it will be returned but it hasn’t!
Do not give this ‘company’ (if indeed it is a company) any of your money as you won’t see it again.
My emails are now being ignored so I’m taking legal action. I won’t give up as this is what these companies prey on. Absolute disgrace!

In April 2023, I paid £875 for a stand at an event, enjoying prompt communication until my payment was processed. After payment, communication deteriorated. The event was canceled four days before its scheduled date due to legal issues with the venue, as explained by Jean. Understanding but seeking resolution, I requested a refund on April 24th, only to be ignored. Further emails and calls in early May were met with vague promises of alternative dates but no action on my refund request.

By June 6th, after threatening legal action, I was stubbornly told by Jean that refunds were not an option, only date transfers, despite their failure to meet their commitments. They demanded early stand designs for a new date, a near-impossible task without prior construction. After submitting a 3D model in September and being uninformed of our missed October slot due to their oversight, Jean mentioned new dates in early 2024, still denying a refund.

My last update request in November was ignored, showcasing a severe lack of customer service. Adding to the frustration, a call today at 9:18 am revealed that Jean, the sole handler of my case, "comes in when she likes," with staff unable to provide her schedule. A call back at 11 am resulted in being told she'd be in later, and upon expressing my frustration, I was brusquely offered a callback from Jean before the call was abruptly ended by the staff member.

This chain of events, marked by ignored communications, unfulfilled promises, and dismissive interactions, especially from Jean, highlights a systemic disregard for customer satisfaction and accountability. Such a lack of professional courtesy and effective communication strongly advises against engaging with this company.

Seeing their response to my review let me add a few things...
"They spoke to me on numerous occasions"
Yes they did, only after I chased them for it.
"Numerous changes in commercialisation agents"
Not the reason they gave for the first booking being cancelled.
"If the new date... is not acceptable then... they would be offered a refund."
Still waiting for a response on this despite them saying "I will be coming back to you by the end of this month with a FIRM DATE... please be assured that I will come back to you as promised.". This was back in April...

The event we booked in for in April 2024 was cancelled by National Promotions.

We requested a refund as full payment was take by the organiser, instead we were offered alternative locations, too far for us or not to the standard of the event we originally paid for. Organiser is keeping hold of our money and decided to stop answering our emails. The event is still advertised on the website

Extremely poor way to run a business. If you can't fulfill an order, it happens. Just repay your customer, do not try to steal their money

Paid £250 for stand at venue back in Nov 2022. After months of fighting and their repeated tales of woe, we finally received a cheque for a refund. But they have post dated it until 5th April and told their bank not to accept it until after that date! So, still no closer to getting the money back! Absolutely disgusted with this company, the unprofessionalism, the tone they use because they are angry at your review. Telling you to update the review once cheque is received. For months the refund was promised and lots of excuses given. Now, to send a post dated cheque saying they haven't got the funds, it’s so wrong! Also saying they should have reverted to their T&C's where all promotors have to transfer to an alternative venue. They already told us that in Dec 2022, but didn't have an alternative venue and still don't. They claim the agents they dealt with haven't refunded them but again this has been an ongoing fight since Dec 2022, if they haven't got a refund, no wonder their business is going down the pan! To expect us to wait another month for OUR money is ridiculous! They are withholding OUR money, that we paid in good faith, for services not provided and expect us to just keep waiting. Many people have been caught out. DO NOT GIVE THIS BUSINESS YOUR MONEY!

Still waiting on a refund from a cancelled over 50s event at the St stephens shopping centre in Hull since September. Which is a drop in the ocean by the looks of it. We had flyers printed and payed for a joiner to make a stand and so on. Iv emailed numerous times had excuses like people on holiday, This ladys retired.The dog ate my home work and so on. No reply to my last email the email before was something snotty. Obviously a poorly ran company with little to no composure. After reading these comments i will be emailing st stephens to find out if this was ever even a booked event with them or an absolute scam from the beginning.

Booked an paid for an event in July 2023. Was chased to pay within 48hours of booking even though the event was not scheduled until October. Event cancelled and despite promises and numerous excuses, nothing refunded as yet. Now radio silence. Avoid.

Scam! paid for a wedding fayre in may last year, they cancelled and “rearranged 2 times”, we asked for a refund in October last year, they said they would do, still never received a refund and no contact has been made! I remember how demanding they was for payment when we was first approached by this company, now we know why!
