Unfortunately the same as everyone…
Unfortunately the same as everyone else. Booked for a show in Bristol, it got cancelled 3 times and was told we would get a refund in December which has never arrived. Now unable to get hold of them by phone
Would not use in the future
The company has refunded my money, so although not a scam, I lost revenue through turning down clients for the scheduled dates, on two shows they had planned. It took several calls and emails to get my money back, so even though this is a real company, I wouldn’t give them money in the future.

Same as everyone else!
Same as everyone else!! Pay for "NO show" to attend!! Great money grabbing idea tbf hats off to em but avoid at all costs clearly there 1 sole 5 star review is fake!!
I have been asked by National…
I have been asked by National promotions to put on a review over the services that I received for a promotion I went into at Wolverhampton recently. After reading some of their reviews I can only say that this was not the experience I had with this company. I was offered a show which went ahead, I had good business from this show and I can only say that I have no hesitation in rebooking with this company.
Do not use this organisation
Do not use this organisation. Whilst on holiday in September we were chased up re payment for an event and in no uncertain aggressive terms told we had to pay because we were in receipt of their contract and missed the date to pull out. We paid by bank transfer on return. 2 days before the event in Chester some 6 weeks later I called for set up instructions to be told the event was cancelled and they had omitted to let us know. Following this up I received an email saying I would get a refund by cheque within 6 weeks - which I have not. I called today to be told it would be the end of the year. Having read these reviews - how on earth can they continue to trade - be bullying in their approach at pre sales stage and fleece honest traders endeavouring to make a living.

Scam!
We are another company who have been caught up in this scam.
Avoid at all costs. I have found them to become quite aggressive when we have challenged whether these ‘events’ will ever be held. We’ve lost £150 which I can’t imagine we will ever see again. I’ve reported it to my bank, trading standards and the shopping centre where they claim to be holding the event. Avoid if you can!
***In response to National Promotions' comments that they have offered a new date, this is simply untrue. We are a tuition service and they offered us a stand at a food and drink fair, which was also cancelled***

Update: Extremely disappointed and still waiting for refund
Update:
I have lost count of how many times I have been promised our refund, only to receive a new excuse about why I haven't received it by the dates I was given. The latest excuse email I received was on 24/3/24, a few days after I had been promised the refund would have been paid. I have now been given a date in May 2024 for payment. I have been investigating and I cannot find any record of National Promotions on Companies House. I have found some details for the proprietor listed on our invoice, if it is the same person, he was a director of a company called Theme Events UK Ltd which dissolved on 20 Dec 2022. The nature of this business was 'Activities of exhibition and fair organisers'. He was also a director of a company called The Themed Event Co Ltd which dissolved on 26 July 2022. This is very concerning. Our original event was booked for Sep 2022 and I was first promised a refund in April 2023. I am very disturbed by the amount of new people leaving reviews having experienced the same as us. If this is a legitimate company, what name are they trading under on Companies House? National Promotions, can you answer this question for me please?
Extremely disappointed. We booked an event at the Ark, Bury St Edmunds for September 2022. We paid in July 2022. The event was postponed 3 times and eventually the Ark would not allow them to book a different date. We have been promised a refund numerous times but we are still waiting. I can’t believe how many others have had similar issues. National Promotions, you must refund the clients who paid you in good faith for an event you did not put on. You took our money 16 months ago, it’s time to pay up.
Dismissive company that is yet to refund me.
It looks like I've been 'scammed' like all the other people leaving reviews here. They said I could have a stall at the Arndale in Manchester for a Mum and Baby event, then said they have to reschedule. When this date didn't work I requested a refund, and subsequently they said they'd send a cheque which never materialised. They didn't answer any of my messages for months. I've reported them to my bank and Action Fraud, I have also reported them to Manchester Arndale executive team.
After leaving this review and making them aware of reporting them, I was then given a reply where a refund has been promised (again) for the 17th, we will see if it actually materialises. This whole process has been extremely upsetting for me so to see the company reply with distain is even more disappointing. ALL of the reviews here are negative and perhaps National Promotions would be better listening and responding to these in an empathetic rather than aggressive and dismissive way.
I'm a small local business that supports vulnerable parents and so this has made my business take a huge hit.

THEY ARE SCAMMERS do not pay them any money!
My business has just had an email about them making false claims about working with our local councils here in Warwick. It's discusting this has been allowed to carry on taking money from many hard working self employed people such as myself. We work long hours and its hard work been self employed.

Deceitful Business
We are also a victim of this unregulated business that has taken monies with the promise of an event venue that never materialized. We have waited patiently for over 12 months with assurances that we would get refunded but with no further responses to e-mails or calls.
The company are clearly still trading and advertising for events. We have begun legal proceedings to pursue all associated costs. We have also reported this company to actionfraud.police and I would strongly suggest that any other victims should do the same. STAY WELL AWAY
National Promotions UK are scammers
National Promotions UK are scammers.
In June I was approached by Millie from National Promotions to have a stall at one of their events in a shopping center in July. The location of the event was very good and I was tempted to sign up for it but as the marketing company was new to me I did some digging (to avoid any scam) and I regret I did not see the Trustpilot reviews by then. Website looked legit, not a lot on social media but they had some photos of the events on FB and one bad review which definitely alert me that I should not book the event but I contacted the shopping center and they had a booking for National Promotions so I decided to go ahead as the location was very good! Oh well, I should listen to intuition!
Closer to the event I still had no information about the market. After emailing them twice they sent me an email that the event has been postponed from July to October. And this is when all the communication stopped! They are not responding to emails, I have contacted the shopping center and they still have the booking but it will definitely not go ahead as National Promotions even didn't pay the shopping center for bookings they had earlier this year.
I have opened a claim with my bank as this is an obvious scam and hopefully they will be able to recover the funds, if not I will be looking at CCJ too.
I am also reporting it to ActionFraud.police
If they approach you, please stay away, they will just take your money!

National Promotions are now in breach of a court order for failure to refund Sparks Fostering
IF ANYONE ELSE IS TAKING COURT ACTION CONTACT ME AT SPARKS FOSTERING.
£595 was taken from me on 28th July 2023 for a cancelled event.
They're threatening to take me to court for making the information public...instead of just paying me back. UPDATE: I'm still pursuing court action in July 2025 and am still owed money. They are now in breach of a court order so I'm thinking that the next steps will be bailiffs. Another fostering agency was also scammed by them and a fitness company has contacted me to discuss their situation. And no, National Promotions sadly hasn't taken me to court for slander or breach of information - they would be laughed out of court.

Be very careful.
Be very careful.
National Promotions approached us about a local promotional event. We were interested and paid them. The date has been changed 4 times since we initially booked. As a small business we need to make sure we have people to support any event and we can't keep accommodating changes. We contacted National Promotions to let them know the new date isn't suitable and asked for a refund. We haven't had a reply and I imagine we won't get a refund. National Promotions isn't a limited company. We certainly won't be doing business with them again nor would we ever recommend them to anyone we know.
This is clearly a scam
This is clearly a scam.
This company told me I could get a stall at Milton Keynes City Centre. They took my money and post-poned the event. I agreed the new date and they post-poned again for a 2nd time. I contacted the main company at the City Centre. They advised me that they would not be dealing with this company at all, so my contract could not be fulfilled.
National Promotions refused to give a refund and after my final demand letter they offered a monthly cheque to repay. This cheque never arrived and now I know why. I will start legal proceedings. As they are not a limited company, I will pursue the individual for the full amount.
This company postponed a wedding fayre…
This company postponed a wedding fayre 2 times and tried for the third time when I told them I no longer want to be a part of it. I have asked for a full refund but have since realised that they are a complete scam and the event would have never taken place. I have turned away so many clients because of this event. I also get spoken to with disgusting attitude on the phone. The company doesn’t promote anywhere on social media and no one has heard of the events that apparently take place which says it all. Complete scammers that will take your money and run with it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Stay as far away from these rip of merchants as you can 😡😡😡 They scam small businesses by taking your money promising events and then cancelling last minute. Then when you ask for your money back they totally ignore you. Avoid the stress and don’t bother! I’ve now got the hassle of making a court claim while they sit on people’s money and don’t care.

Terrible
Well what an absolute shambles and robbers.
I was approached from national promotions about an event. I am a self employed Sales consultant and believed it was a good idea. I came back to national promotions saying I will take the spot but I cannot pay just yet as money was tight. My wife fell Ill and signed off from work, I limited my working hours to care for her and sort the children out with school runs and school holidays so I contacted this horrible company to state I’m struggling financially. I was then threatened with court if I didn’t pay also the company I subcontract to was contacted putting added pressure on me. I reluctantly paid the money In two parts and not paying my energy bill for that month due to the threat. A week after I paid my second payment totalling £400 for a £395 event I was informed they have a problem with tents and they will have another event in 4 months time. I feel they knew this information before taking my payment and have zero compassion for my financial struggles. I was not given a cooling off period, I did not agree to Ts & Cs and now my emails and calls are being ignored. I just want my money back as I really need it now and not four months.
If you’re running your own small business avoid this company it will cause you stress and pain.
I am currently building a legal case against national promotions for mis selling and not adhering to TCF.
UPDATE
My previous review was taken off due to blackmail from this company stating they would give me a full refund, I still haven’t received this as they said they would send me a cheque once a month for £100 to which I haven’t taken as who knows whether it will cash or not. I have taken out a CCJ.
