The man who fitted my new windscreen (sorry I didn’t catch his name) provided such a lovely and genuinely high standard of customer service. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely diabolical.
Booked a chip repair and the day before the repair had a text to say it was being done 3 days later.
Failed chip repair within 2 weeks that spread over half the windscreen. Logged a complaint with National Windscreens who told me they would get the branch manager to ring me.....he didnt. Eventually told me they'd come out in 2 weeks to assess the windscreen repair and replace it of needs be.
I decided not to risk them failing that so I went with Autoglass instead who replaced the screen in 2 days.
National Windscreens believe the issue is now resolved and closed my complaint!
Oh and the branch manager also text me off his personal number unannounced.....👍🏻 pretty sure that breaks GDPR but ok 👍🏻

Gary & staff are helpful, friendly, knowledgeable & provide an efficient & quality service; appx 4hrs 40 mins for my windscreen replacement with ADAS recalibration (2022 VW Golf 8 r-line). I was very impressed with the whole branch experience & communcation. (This was the first time I've had to have a windscreen replaced - small but loud impact stone chip that turned into an 'x' shaped crack).
Only issue I experienced:
If you're claiming through your insurance (in my case Hastings Premier - National Windscreens are their sole provider for glass repair or replacement); double check that the validations dept. have received your insurance certificate as early on as you can; I sent my certificate as soon as an email arrived asking for it but didn't receive anything back after that (I was expecting a message asking me to pay the insurance premium), I kept phoning & checking but they only 'received it' it the day before the work was due to be done (if your insurance certificate doesn't get through, they can't get the work authorised with your insurer & the work won't happen (at this point I'd been off work for the best part of 2 weeks whilst waiting for the day of my appointment (illegal to drive with the size & position of the crack) so couldn't afford any delays). I had to email my certificate about 6-8 times in total from x3 different email addresses (I checked and every email had sent, none were stuck in the outbox), in the end I was able to send it directly to one person (though it was still the same validations email address), which is when they thankfully confirmed receipt. Other than that everything was fine, I appreciate that the validation issue may have been due to a high workload, again i'm not complaining just saying it might be worth checking with them to make sure you don't have any issues/delays, or at least for peace of mind.
Notes:
I was able to (carefully) drive the car home on the day of replacement and was told to take the tape off the windscreen (I only checked when I got back home, though it might be worth asking when picking your car up), I was told to be careful over speedbumps for a few days (72hrs) & to not use a carwash or jetwash for 7 days after replacement.
Thanks for the reply below, that's much appreciated :)
