Nearly a year of waiting.
Contacted National Windscreens in January 2024 about getting a replacement windscreen for my vehicle, they said they will look into it and try to source a replacement, staff member at the time on the phone told me I may be better getting the car written off.
Fast forward a week a so, they contact me saying they cannot source a windscreen, I go out of my way to search forums and find a company in England that source windscreens for imported cars, they say all is good and it’ll take 4-6 weeks.
It’s October 2024 and I still haven’t had the windscreen fitted. The screen arrived July, I have made multiple attempts to email about booking an appointment, used the websites online portal to let them know that my appointment would need to be in Belfast as I was using the car for work at the time, they show up to the wrong address and tell me that they will rebook me via text as I said I can’t really take phone calls during work hours (50 hour weeks). Nothing since then.
I can’t believe this has happened, the level of service I have received is absolutely abhorrent, I’ve had borderline no communication, I was left in the dark for months about where my windscreen was, told it was not far away multiple times and that it would be there soon, told I was getting rebooked for my appointment and had absolutely nothing, my car is effectively a paperweight as I can’t drive it with the crack across the windscreen.
If you can avoid national windscreens, I’d do so at every opportunity, and the worst part is that even after all of the turmoil that has happened, I’m still going to be expected to pay for the repair, despite the frankly abysmal service I have received.
If someone could please contact me about getting my car finally sorted please I’d really appreciate it, can’t believe it’s had to come to this point.
