Bullies…

I wonder what would happen if we stopped paying council tax.....oh yes they would send you a law enforcement letter and send someone to your door...cos they can and are double standard bullies, but when they steal from you and ignore for months...you cant do nothing....absolutely disgusting bullies.

I am disappointed with the overall…

I am disappointed with the overall service I received. Throughout my interaction with this department, the communication was inconsistent and unprofessional.
In addition, my most recent emails were not answered at all, despite requiring clarification. Whenever I called, I was repeatedly transferred from one person to another without receiving clear assistance or resolution.
Overall, the process felt disorganised and inefficient. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that improvements are made to ensure better communication, accountability, and customer service in the future.

I have been waiting for a long time for…

I have been waiting for a long time for my council tax credit refund, and the delay is completely unacceptable.

If residents are even one or two months late with their council tax payments, there are immediate consequences. So how is it acceptable to keep someone waiting this long for money that rightfully belongs to them?

I have always paid my council tax on time and fulfilled my obligations without delay. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the service I am receiving in return.

The lack of communication and the ongoing delay have been extremely frustrating. I expect my refund to be processed and paid without any further delay.

Very disappointed with the handling of this matter.

My experience with the council’s…

My experience with the council’s planning department, including interactions with a staff member named Nurgul Kinli, has raised serious concerns. A structure was approved near my property without any notification or consultation being provided to neighbouring residents, and significant issues regarding safety and suitability remain unaddressed. As a vulnerable resident, I felt that my circumstances were overlooked throughout the process.

Given the lack of transparency and the way this matter has been managed, I will now be raising broader awareness by involving journalists and external media organisations. It is important that the public is informed and that appropriate scrutiny is brought to these decisions.

Enfield Council: total rip off culture

Rip off culture at this council & rude, amateurish comms too. Honestly what is the point in charging people £80 for missing a tiny sign on an empty unlit street in the middle of the night?

But I suppose you have to find the money to pay your Chief Exec over £200,000 a year 😂 (seriously - look it up…)

Send a warning or reminder if you like, but of course you won’t do that because it’s simply about making even more money out of people in the middle of a cost of living crisis.

It doesn’t change driver behaviour one little bit, it’s just another way to rip off people who pay their dues and taxes already. And they know it.

Do try to remember you are paid by the local people, and your powers over us are only by our consent - if you keep abusing those powers you will eventually use up the last of the goodwill in this borough.

Those who don’t bother getting licences, MOTs, insurance etc don’t pay these fines - just us mugs who try to do the right thing.

These flyg tippers are disgraceful. My neighbours removed all our rubbish and moved it to someone else's location. I tried to submit evidence that this was not me as well as tell them to check camera footage. The officer responds a week later at 3am. Absolute disgrace. I've made a report to the ombudsman as well as my local mps so if you come into this situation and you didn't litter stand your ground and take it further

Enfield council do care !

Shocking

The worst council with awful service. These clowns don't collect rubbish on time and bins get full quickly. Websites don't work properly and telephone service is awful. No wonder why they have 1.4 starts out of 5 on Google reviews! AVOID

Blue Bin Collection

Blue Bin Collection
My Blue bin was not collected on the 26th March 2025 and i raised a ticket with Enfield Council on the 27th March for a missed collection
I got the email confirmation telling me a ticket was open and that this would be passed over to the relevant teams to revisit.

Unfortunately, due to a non show of the council bin men, i had to make a call on the 3rd April 2025, 1 week later as my Blue bin has still not been collected, almost 2 weeks since the original collection time and date.

It is now Monday the 7th April and there is still a no show, a very poor response indeed given that Enfield council has just raised its council tax again my the max amount without special dispensation

This needs to be resolved as my blue bin is overflowing and am sure when the bin men next come to collect, they may well refuse due to the bin overflowing

Enfield council and its bin men, get your act together

John the carpenter was a lovely man

John the carpenter was a lovely man. Fixed the communal door that has been constantly broken for the 2 years I have lived in this block. Took his time to make it right and knocked to make sure I was happy. A+
Also Mel dealt with a complaint and swiftly kept me informed and got things sorted. Not always bad reviews.

Hi I'm sharing this to support others who are experiencing this level of bullying and dictatorship by their local council. I have been suffering harassment and bullying by Enfield Council tax office for the past five years almost causing suicidal thoughts because there's mo accountability for their mistakes? I must surely not be the only one raising this awareness? I even had to involve our local MP until it was resolved, the issues I still had no apology from the Enfield Council tax department which shows the standards have dropped. I hope to see my validation by more people coming forward? Yours truly

A disgrace of a council


ENFIELD COUNCIL, the worst council who have normalised not caring about people. Bums on seats, all working from home to cut cost on leasing buildings, minimal training, working at home for new generation means they can’t learn or be professional and learn from the more advanced staff. Therefore no customer service, old school professional staff made redundant to cut cost.
Rude customer services, phone cuts off, no help and when you finally get through they can’t help, they also lie and gaslight us because they can’t be bothered as that must be part of their training. They take over 3 months to answer an email. They say they have no money so now they want council tax money from the vulnerable in our society, causing more mental health. Customers receiving court summons 2 days before Xmas for errors caused by yourself, wasting court time. 4k summons a month are sent, shame on you. Enfield council do you not know there is a cost of living crisis, you are creating more problems for you community and wasting staff time sorting out unnecessarily situation, which is costing you more money which you then want from us. But you have money for firework display and other useless stuff. WHAT DO WE DO!
Who ever is at the top of this corrupt organisation you are a disgrace.
Even Martin Lewis on TV says that the council are a disgrace when dealing with council tax. I suggest you watch his show you might learn something, humility for a start.
My experience is not on a particular day, it’s all the time.
Does anyone think they care or take any notice? NO!

No help for vulnerable

I owe enfield council tax £600 and I’ve been in and out of the mental health hospital for the last couple of months. I offered to pay them £100 a month out of the £500 a month I receive and today they emailed once again refusing demanding £168 a month. I’m a vulnerable person with mental health and also a wheelchair user, there aware of my situation and it’s like there trying to bully me. I’m currently attending the mental unit once a week and this is causing me so much stress there not understanding at all, I feel like £100 a month is reasonable. Some people don’t even pay it at all and I’m trying but it’s putting me in a bad place mentally and it’s hard to cope. I’m already on antidepressants antipsychotics and sleeping tablets.

If there was 0 star I will click but starting with 1 no choice the same they left me with noo choice.500 pounds for cigarette butt even I did no put on the floor on purpose I was 3 min next to the bin I finish the cigi switch my cigarette on the top of the bin and soo much rubbish inside outside I didn't put in to not made bigger trouble like fire no sighs no suitable bin for smoking there is 20 or more bins in Southgate how I know in the last 15 years but there is not even one suitable for smokers and the fine is 500 hahaha shame shame and you can't even appeal they are not giving you are choice no face to face no phone number just email you need to pay or treat like court paying more and criminal record.but if you want people to pay 500 then please just put suitable bins and few sighs as well and trained your officers to ask for spelling correct names and to not adress the people with wrong gender.on the penalty is saying female on the letter is Mr and you are telling me the fine is correct by the evidence hahaha everything is correct you saw the video but still you go with Mr.good job

A shocking excuse for a council. Services across the board are sub par and contacting them is a full time job in and of itself.

Council tax miscalculated and abruptly, incorrectly changed. Bins regularly missed. Recycling centre permits not issued despite hundreds of requests and many phone calls. Streets not kept tidy. Trees and shrubbery overgrown and not kept. Proposed permit schemes seemingly only implemented to take more money.

A joke.

they still issue a council tax bill…

they still issue a council tax bill after i notified them moving out, i send email to them about this but never got any reply for 2 months, now they send me sms chasing for the council tax

i remember it tooks 3 months to setup direct debit because their website is rubbish and malfunctioning at the time i move into enfield
