We had an old water softener fail and a quote for a new one from the previous supplier was a rude awakening, being more than double what it had been 5 years previously. All the pipework was there and I was convinced I could find a new machine that would just Plug and play to the existing connections. However, lots of wasted time on the internet led me to no real conclusion as it could be an expensive risk. I decided to email North East Water Softeners and received a call back in 5 minutes! Not a pushy sales call, but a really helpful call outlining my options and what they could guarantee would fit. They even sent me installation instructions as well as a quick run through on how to commission the new unit. I was so impressed I ordered the new machine an hour or so later. Arrived yesterday and Installation was a breeze, all done with 2 regen cycles in under an hour and I saved well over £600 along with getting a better machine than i was quoted for. I couldn't be happier to recommend North East Water Softeners and wish all "on-Line" companies were this proactive, friendly and helpful. Top Marks N.E.W.S.....I should be back for a reverse Osmosis Filter next! Thanks for all your help, really appreciate it.

The S4 was a replacement for my S3 which had stopped working at 12 years old. It took nearly a week for the water to soften which was a bit worrying at first but the water is very hard here. It working fine now so fingers crossed this one wil last me more than 12 years.

We found exactly what we were looking for in the Harvey TwinTec Series 4 water softener and it was delivered the following day. Our plumber had a query when finalising the fitting and when I called North East Water Softeners, it was great to speak to someone who knew the product and was able to give the relevant advice immediately. The water softener started to make a difference almost as soon as it was fitted and hard water/limescale is now a thing of the past!

I had a very smooth and positive experience with NE Water Softeners throughout. I accepted a quote for a Harvey Twintec system. My property is older and therefore the installation was a little more complex, however everything was well communicated and discussed with me both by the admin team and the engineer, and we came to the best solution. Despite living in an area with only moderate hardness, my wife is extremely happy with the difference the softer water is having on her hair. Many thanks again.

Overall, it was a good experience, but the installation pricing listed on your website was misleading. Additionally, the plumbers you recommended did not cover Central London areas like Bank or Monument. I contacted three different plumbers who initially quoted me £190 + VAT, but after reviewing the job details, they stopped responding altogether.

I then turned to more premium plumbing services in Central London. They charged full-day rates, starting at around £700 + VAT, not including new pipe materials or adjustments like modifying the cold feed pipe. For example, Pimlico Plumbers quoted over £1,000 + VAT after conducting an assessment visit.

While Harvey's pricing may seem high initially, they came to my home to assess and offered a quote of £2,071 to me for the Harvey Arc model, which included installation and three bags of salt at no extra cost. In contrast, the NE system was priced at £1,200 without salt or installation. The installation alone ended up costing me £950 (labour) + £200 (materials such as a new pressure-reducing valve to protect the softener from high pressure and pipework modifications and new copper pipes to be fitted), plus 20% VAT which totals to 1414£ + 1200£ (NE price for softener)=2614£ with NE and 2071£ with Harvey directly. Now Harvey doesn't give you the 10 years guarantee but I think 2 or 3 while NE does give 10 years.

Secondly, going directly with Harvey gives a protection of 90-day money back guarantee and sales told me it will not need a particular reason and automatic return while NE has this refund policy of 14 day cooling period from the invoice date but passing this 14 day deadline, you wont be able to return the product if you don't like it.
