Scam. Received letter threatening my business could be dissolved or revoked in the future, blah, blah...
Gave a QRcode to scan to file.
I've filed, and know it doesn't actually cost anything so I didn't pay like some others did, but this is deceitful on purpose.
This business should lose their license and ability to exist.

Received letter that looked legit stating that I had missed my filing date and I could pay by scanning QR code. I was in a hurry (never again!!) and completed it only to figure out that I wasn't filing with the Secretary of State - this company was charging me $175 to do it for me. No phone number to call so couldn't dispute it when I figured it out right afterward. Total shady business practice. Preying on public records to get your money.

Scam. Trying to place a stop payment now.

This company is a scam, I always file on my own behalf in the state of North Carolina, in which I only pay 203. I received a letter in the mail saying that my annual report was past due, so I followed the prompts just to end up paying $350 in past due and another $350 for filing. When it came to downloading the receipt, that was when I found out that I had been robbed. I called them right away and canceled the automated renewal and asked for a refund. If they don't refund my money, I'll be calling the bank.

This company is a scam - BEWARE -- They send mails out to as many companies as they can saying you owe (in my case) the annual business filing report fee for my company. I don't have an account with this company - they just out an "all call."
Their disclaimer is very pale gray at the bottom of their mail. I have received mail stated about Business filing past due .I know I forgot to file but this company sends mail like an business filing authority ,and started as " your company may be administratively dissolved or revoked" ... in bold text. Initially I afraid that. Then I tried to file unknowingly and fill all the details and come to see the amount as $700 stated as filing fee $375 and Late fee $375. Then I closed this and went to check in the state government website it was $200 only no late fee. I have filed. So this is a awareness review that Please file with the Government sites for business filings.

The are sending scam letters to try and get you to sign up for services. Not sure how they are still in business.

Scam! Misleading mailings to all businesses they can find from public records. BBB please take note and ban this business practice. They have no pricing information on their website. They are capturing personal and business information that they should not be allowed to collect due to lack of disclosure or pricing breakdown.

Scam company. This company sends out official looking letters to businesses to tell them to file their annual report with the state and direct you to their service. In fine print at the bottom they tell you they're not associated with the state. I should have read the fine print before getting onto their website. Their fees are exorbitant and basically a ripoff. To file your report and renew your business registration in Virginia on the official state website it costs $50. They charged me $225 on their website. They should not have a .org website. It should be .com. This is not a legitimate business. They are predators and need to be shutdown. I will repost this everywhere I can. Honest business people need to be informed about their unsavory business practices before being taken advantage of. Pursuing a refund but I am not hopeful.

I went ahead and renewed with the actual State of Virginia website. Newbusinessfiling.org refunded all my money on 4/21 so I have given back a star. I still think this company should not have a .org web address and feel their business practices are predatory. They need to cease and desist with the letters, or at minimum, put in large print they are not associated with the state. IF they had charged a somewhat reasonable fee I probably would have just let it go and not sought a refund. But charging more than four times the actual renewal cost is going to get a reaction out of many small business owners.

Outrageous!! - when I called them - their response was - "We will do business our way, you can do yours, your way"!!! They DON'T make it clear the cost of their service even in their confirmation email, stated ---

This company charged me over twice as much as it would have cost to simply renew my Kansas Business Registration. My mistake cost me dearly, don't make the same mistake that I made. This company will overcharge you more than twice the actual cost to file a renewal.

Bullshit scammers charging way to much for simple services. They charge 225$ for what the state charges 70$ for.

Do not trust the mail or e-mail you got.
Use your states secretary of state website, make sure there is a state seal attached. Your states SOS is cheaper and has everything you need.

I will be reporting this company to the state attorney general for their misleading marketing tactics which practically amount to fraud. Charging $375 to do nothing for filing LLC report and appearing to be sending materials from the state. Shameful business practice.

Received a mailing that looked official other than the "State Seal" on the letter. Company charges $375.00 when Secretary of State charges $200 is done directly. Took me 5 minutes to do directly with Secretary of State. Company refunded at my request but kept $20 as a credit card fee. Secretary of State allows for ACH from a bank account.

SCAM!!! I received an email that they had filed a report that I never requested them to file. I've never heard of them! I've been filing my reports for 17 years. I DO NOT need to pay anyone to do it for me.

I have no idea what the policies and procedures are to register a new business in the USA. I was so uncertain until they helped me every step of the way. What is even better is the fact that I can phone them any time I am unsure about any information I need in the future regarding my business

I received this phishing email and thought it was suspicious. It is not from the Colorado Secretary of State.

Total scammers. Shame on trust pilot for verifying them. Do not use this company. Their extremely snarky replies to customers who have been scammed should be enough to turn you off but in case it isn’t, they charge double what you owe the state and make misleading statements that you’re paying for other fees instead of disclosing that they’re ripping you off. They could at least put it nicely and say they were charging you a “service fee”. But they don’t call it a service fee, they lie about what the fees are for.

SO DECEITFUL! Looked legit so thought it was through the state. They added $250 to the filing fee without disclosing that it and added another $200 in late fees that weren't supposed to be there. THEY ARE NOT AFFILIATED WITH ANY GOVERNMENT ENTITY! I already requested a refund. Will dispute the charge with my CC company if I don't hear back from them in the next 24 hours!
