Stay away!
They act all brilliantly, but when things go wrong they act in such a way to make your life hell.
They pretend they are trying to help you, but at the same time ensure arrears are added to the account and then they have you in an impossible situation where there is no recovery from.
They even lie to the FOS, and twist things.

Sending unsolicited emails asking for personal information. I never asked to be with this company it was forced and they expect me to call them. Absolute joke
Get a better customer service system use emails so the people your attempting to scam have proof

Cowboys…. Do not use them. They are screwing over Argos customers.
Take your business to retailers who use Creation finance instead, they are unbelievably better than NewDay and to put it in to perspective Apple (worlds most valuable company have chosen Creation for the financial service aspect of their business in the UK.
Do not use NewDay people. They are quick-money making con artists. Use Creation finance or The Very Group if you want to use credit and care about your credit status going forward.

NEW DAY are a Load OF RUBBISH!!
Bring back Argos card!!!!!
As a rule, I always pay off my credit plans before they end a interest is applied.
Since the switch, I paid the plan before the end but realised that the money hadn't come off...!
I called Argos pay/new day for them to tell me that my money hadn't gone to the now expired plan, but to a plan from 10 years ago on normal credit - which has now had a load of interest piled on top!
WHAT!!!!
What a load of rubbish! How can i have a a plan open for all this time (FROM 10 YEARS AGO) that I'm only just hearing about from new day????
I checked with Argos regarding this order from 10 years ago and this particular order was in fact returned shortly after purchase so please make sense of that!!???

I initally had an Argos Card. This was changed to Argos Pay who is owned by NewDay. This switchover has been a horrible experience From the beginning.
Before with Argos Card, you can pay into different Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) plans, but now with the switch, that function has been removed. Not only that, but you have to pay off your entire Normal Credit before any money goes into your BNPL plan.
This means that if the plan expires, all the accumulated interest will be added to the balance. There was little clear notice of this MAJOR change in all the email comms i've received.
Even if they advised customers to clear their BNPL before the switchover, would have been super helpful and transparent.
This is NewDay being Unfair and Not Transparent, which is what the FCA suggests credit brokers be.
I have raised a complaint, and plan to go to the Financial Ombundsman Service as this is a break of my Consumer Rights and does not follow FCA Guidelines.

Not happy with this New Day Ltd taking over Argos credit. It's a shambles and i think Argos will lose customers due to their systems being so bad.
Logging into either the website or the app is just a gamble really. It might work, it might not.
Ive got a direct debit thats been set up but nothing gets taken out and i get texts saying ive missed a payment.
Spoke to a CS rep eventually, got told the debit will be taken and not to worry. Debit still not taken. Can i login to the app/site to sort manually? Well no, thats a gamble.
Took 10 times of trying to login. Made a manual payment in the end. I can see tactics like this being used to increase revenue by adding fees and interest.

They are rubbish, work short hours, and openly support fraud by refusing to engage with secondary card holders

I'm very frustrated with the service I've received. I was called after 8 PM, which is an unreasonable AND unsociable hour. I had previously requested that calls not be made after 6 PM, but I was informed that calls are made until 9 PM. I don't care when your business is open; you shouldn't be making outbound calls so late. I have a recording of this conversation. If I receive another late call and my request hasn't been updated in your system, I will continue to make late payments.

The New Argos pay day I'm having a lot of problems trying to Register they keep sending different numbers on ,once my account is cleared, that's me finished with this company, I wouldn't recommend any one to sign up to this company when it was the old argos I didn't have any problems please keep Clear of this company.

The Argos Pay app is nothing short of an app that seems to have been "cribbed" together to get the platform going for those moving from Argos Card after they "sold out" to NewDay. Go onto the help page select "complaints" click on it and all you get is a page saying how do I complain and nothing else, no complaints procedures detailed on app. Navigation is diabolical, select account settings and there is no way back to the home page, a monkey could have written a better app. Having read some of the complaints on Trustpilot with issues about how they are complicating people's accounts, especially regarding BNPL plans, which can't be edited to name them usefully for easier use like the old app did and confusing payment details, I wonder how long it will be before someone takes them to the FCA.
Also how does one use it if you want to go to Argos and use it in store, there seems to be no way, that I can find to do so, no physical card no virtual card that can be scanned in store. No doubt NewDay will reply with some box standard script response, time to stand up against such organisations and be counted.
So NewDay says they sent me PM, respond to my complaint, can find it snywhere, so NewDay replied asking for personal information on this platform not acceptable complaint still stands

Disgusting complany indeed.
This company 'took over' the previius Argos card payment system and replaced it with Argos pay via the their app.
The app is a nightmare for sure. They assume everybody has a banking app they can pay on, well I dont, nor do I want to use a banking app, especially just to use for the NewDay phone app.
I have written complaints to this compamy, so far they have evaded direct attention to my complaints, instead just replying to my complaints by sending an email which offers suggestions on how to pay via their app.
Its not possible to pay by direct debit like to previous Argos card where paymnts were preety simple and effective, unlike to new Argos pay app.
They offer a phone line payment solution, but try getting through to pay, its always a long wait, too long in fact.
These difficulties may put some customers into delayed payments therefore attracting an account interest payment on top of their 'intrest free' payment schedules.
Overall, I find this company a shambolic and dysfunctional mess, very customer service evading too.
Well, my days of spending with Argos are at an absolute end thanks to this NewDay compay.

Never got interest free transfers for other cards when I owed a bit of money on card but as soon as I paid it off never stop asking. You need to help people who owe a lot of money to help them save money.
