We've had a great experience buying our home at Great Oaks, Engine Common through Newland Homes.

Thank you to Jayne and Bev who kept in regular contact with us throughout the whole process, and were always happy to answer any questions we had.

We moved in before Christmas, and we know that Ron and team went the extra mile to make sure we could exchange on the date we wanted. We're really pleased with the finish of our home, and any snags which need rectifying are being dealt with efficiently by Tom, Ron and their team.

Thank you to everyone at Newland Homes for making the experience of buying our home a good one, and definitely better than we've experienced from other developers in the past - a breath of fresh air!

We completed on our property in November 2024, both Caz and Evelyn were brilliant at ensuring a smooth process and kept us well informed throughout. We are very happy with the quality of the house, and aside from a few snags left to resolve, everything else has been dealt with promptly and to a high standard.

We moved into our Newland Homes house on 20th December 2024 after only 6 weeks from start to finish! The team were amazing to get us moved so quickly ready for Christmas in our beautiful house.
Shout out to Lesley and Jayne for their expert help.
We used their recommended solicitor too who were very efficient.
Also to Mark , site Manager, for his support which is ongoing now we are living here.
The whole experience was daunting for us as we are over 70 but Newland Homes helped us every step of the way.

Amazing customer service from Caz and Evelyn at the Heron Rise development. They were with us every step of the way, helping to ensure we completed after a few solicitor delays. They did everything they could to ensure a smooth completion date, I would really recommend them! They were so friendly, approachable and knowledgeable, nothing was ever too much. Also the guys on site are great, always friendly and helpful, we’re just waiting on a couple of small things to be rectified but nothing major. Thanks so much all, we love our new home!

I am very pleased with my Hinton Newland Home. The experience from start to moving in went smoothly. The Sales Team were excellent, and most of my snagging issues have been resolved.

Buying a new build property can be a leap of faith given the end product is not generally available when agreeing a purchase.

This was certainly not the case with Newland Homes as from our very first meeting with the sales consultant Charlotte we we guided to visit an existing development to understand the build quality.

The onsite team of Simon (site manager) and his team were extremely helpful as the build developed, willingly making adjustments that turned a standard design into something that met our individual needs. Build quality was excellent and we have experienced only nominal snagging that was quickly resolved.

This is our first carbon neutral property
but despite initial reservations we are now 9 months into our ownership and cannot speak highly enough of this.

From the point at which we moved in, Newlands have been avaialble, supportive and extremely friendly. They have gone - in our opinion - above and beyond to help make our time in our new home special. All work was completed on time and their attention to detail has been impressive. Highly recommend Newlands Homes.

The viewings, buying, snagging and the solutions have all been great. 4 stars because we are still living on a building site whilst the houses in our road are being completed. We are still waiting for some snagging to be finished but everyone has been great and very considerate.

So pleased with my new house! From when I first enquired about buying through to the purchase, snagging, and now after sales customer care, I can't fault them. The staff I have dealt with have been incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Newland Homes.

We went to look at a Newland home this weekend. We think they are the homes of the future, as they have all the equipment you need for a net-zero energy home - air source heat pumps, electric vehicle chargers, and solar panels. Not only does all that save you money, but it will also save around 3-4 tonnes from your carbon footprint. With an electric car you will be emitting zero, by charging the car through your solar panels. Your energy consumption will be close to net zero, and if you use a renewable energy supplier like Octopus or Ecotricity, your energy emissions will be zero. With allotments on the site you can eat locally and sustainably as well. But not only are the homes brilliantly sustainable, but when we went there Bev spent ages with us listening to what we wanted and thinking about which was the best house for us. Fantastic client service.

So happy with our Newland Home! The sales team were great and the site manager was friendly and knowledgeable.

The standard specification is really high, so we didn’t have to fork out lots for upgrades like you do with the PLC’s . You can tell they’re a smaller company as they actually care about the build, their customers and the buying process was smooth & stress-free.

The snagging was completed quickly and I’d buy from them again!

Cannot fault Newland Homes at all! We were very impressed with our buying process from start to finish. Caz and Evelyn were amazing and very friendly, nothing was too much trouble.
We’ve been in our apartment now for a few months and we love it! It’s the perfect size and any issues we had at the beginning were resolved almost immediately.
We’ve already said we want our next purchase to be with Newland Homes.

Three years in and we still love our house. I was feeling a bit sceptical about buying a new build after hearing things from friends about other developers, but our house has exceeded expectations! Any issues we had were sorted out swiftly and they added some lovely touches to make it extra special as we moved in around Christmas.
Laura and Rachel were great from start to finish, happy to answer any questions or point us in the right direction. Nothing was ever too much trouble.
If and when we do move on, if the house was in the right area I would not hesitate to buy another home from Newlands!

We’re very pleased with our Newland Home, we found the sales and site team really helpful throughout.

We have a ‘Tetbury’ house and the sun lounge is lovely; it’s nice to have that open-plan space and to be able look out onto the garden.

The finishes are much better quality than other new builds we looked at and any snagging issues were sorted quickly by the aftersales team.

We moved from Bath to Cheltenham which was an emotionally difficult move, but from the moment we met Bev and Lesley they made us feel at ease. The house design and specification was so much better than our previous new build, that it felt like a home we could instantly connect with.

We needed to move quickly as our buyer couldn’t wait, but Newland stepped up and made sure it happened within 4 weeks.

As with all man made products and technology, there are a few items being addressed, but the site manager Jane is straight on it and always in a friendly manner and with a smile.

The sustainability, high quality fixtures and fittings, the love and care Newland have put in, we couldn’t be happier with our new home.

Reviews seem to be extremely positive about the purchase process and extremely negative about the actual product, the houses themselves.
This is a review of the actual product, the houses themselves at the Mendip Gate Development in Churchill, North Somerset.
The design and appearance of the houses is good, but Newland Homes seem to have struggled with building them.
Defects on the site have included innumerable plumbing leaks, collapsing walls, incorrectly inserted lintels, rainwater gutters running the wrong way, incorrect wiring, cracking garage floors, leaking front and back doors, incorrectly specified windows, flash flooding of gardens, mismatched tiles, bricks and pointing.
If the product Newland Homes was selling was a car, they wouldn’t sell any.
Now I appreciate this has to be balanced against the fact that most new build houses from volume house builders are of very poor quality and construction. Newland Homes are not unique in putting profit before quality.

Pear Tree Close, Cheltenham

Our experience with Newland Homes from the moment we stepped into their Sales Office was excellent. Bev and Lesley expertly helped us through the buying process.

We are very much impressed with the design of our house, particularly the Sun Room and the Open Plan Living Space, and appreciate the attention to detail especially the high-quality kitchen appliances and the electric garage door.

While there were a few minor snagging issues, they have all been dealt with by the Newlands on site Team, led led by Chris and Jane.

We look forward to many years in our new home and the surrounding area.
