Their actions and treatments towards students during the covid-19 pandemic
This is a review of what happened in Nido West Hampstead.
Their actions and treatments towards students, whether current residents or temporarily moved-out, are hugely disappointing. The accommodation saw the COVID - 19 outbreak as an opportunity to undertake their construction work. Here are several poor, ridiculous, and concerning decisions they have made:
1. Having packaging workers to pack and move students' items with or without their consents. The majority of the students at this time went back home for their families to evade the pandemic, yet they found it reasonable to invade students' privacy for their own benefits.
2. Many of these packaging workers lacked the discipline of conducting safe distancing. They came in-and-out of student's flats every day posing a high risk of spreading the virus to students who were still residing and quarantining at Nido. Many of these workers didn't even have a mask or gloves on.
3. The receptionists were ordered not to receive mails/packages due to their safety measures. Poor handling of Nido has created a frustrating experience and resulted in many return / lost cases of students' packages. If Nido has the kindness to treat their employee with such safety discipline (not expressing that they shouldn't), they should consider an equal treatment to their residents.
These are the three main issues I personally have experienced, many other fellow residents have complained about other more on issues like tenancy agreement. I cannot elaborate on this, but Nido, a word of advice, you should probably listen to your future promoters and investors for once.
Nido, do better. Your handling of this pandemic has completely worsened everyone's experience here and the expectation of your guys.
The way they have treated students…
The way they have treated students during the Pandemic is completely unacceptable! They plan on taking our belongings to a storage facility in Reading, making the rooms we have paid for (thousands of pounds) unavailable to us; and refuse to give us a refund at this time. All they care about is money, not the safety and security of its residents at this terrifying time. I am ashamed by the way they have acted. They don't even reply to emails and the phone line disconnects when you select option 2 (calls about your residence). Its shameful.

Style over substance.
Despite an aesthetically pleasing building, and intelligent marketing the actual experience leaves much to be desired.
-Substantial delays in constructing the gym, despite the instant availability of a games room.
-Constant issues left unresolved (Broken TVs, Broken washing machine, Broken Karaoke equipment, Blocked drains, No hot water, Overly sensitive fire alarms) All of this happening while publicity events with free food/alcohol are in full swing, handily professionally photographed and smeared all over social media.
-Refusal to act upon suggestions of tenants to improve the accommodation in a practical manner in favour of spending on useless decorations such as neon signs.
If you favour a sparkly appearance over a place that cares for its tenants, come to Nido Student. If you value the odd event such as sushi making or beer pong, over a well maintained and properly run accommodation, choose Nido Student.
Let it be known that for these issues I do not blame the staff on the ground, such as night staff, cleaners or maintenance workers.
It’s ineffectual management and senior management.
I blame a warped business plan, a predatory ethos regarding attracting international students and an a “profit before people” approach.
Considering the price of the rent, it’s not much to ask for there to be more than 6 washing machines between 300+ Tenants.
Despite being relatively trendy and at a stretch cool, avoid this company if you value function over frivolity.
Edit: all other reviews at time of writing are from individuals contracted to Nido Student. I’m sure these are their personal views but it should be noted that they are employed by Nido Student.

Very nice student accommodation
This is my first year at Cambridge and Castle Hill. They've got modern rooms and facilities, such as common room, gym, places to store bikes, etc. Staff here is also friendly and helpful. What differs castle hill from my previous accommodations is that castle hill holds various activities across the year, like the breakfast day on first Tuesday of every month, decoration for Christmas and flowers for Valentines day! There is also a GP (the Huntingdon Road Surgery) just opposite the property. Also 5 mins walk to Aldi and Island, 1min to Midan world food shop. I would recommend this property for students who are looking for a safe and comfy place to live.

Get booking!
Absolutely love this building, everyone is so friendly and the place has a great sense of community. It’s super easy to meet friends and find social plans, yet there is no sense of chaos like at other uni halls. If you can afford to snap a room up, I strongly suggest it!

Very unorganized
Vacated the apartment in Berlin nearly five months ago and still no refund of security deposit. Enquiries with bookkeeping are either ignored completely or are answered with standardized letters asking for more patience. Communication is only possible via email, no telephone numbers are given for direct communication with the responsible department.
Very frustrating, I would avoid doing further business with this agency.
As can be seen by reply given below the issue is still not resolved. Instead I am given yet another email contact which remains just as unanswered as all the other contacts I have had so far in fact the response given below is just as standardized as most of the other communication I have received so far. The same answer can be found on Facebook given to others who are still waiting for return of deposits.
Before renting through this agency I highly recommend checking facebook and reading what others have experienced.

I strongly recommend this place
I spent 3 months there during the summer, and think there couldn't be a better place to stay over that time. People in front of the residence was so friendly and they did the best to help me all the time. The place was comfortable and well located (near city centre) and the room was clean and in perfect conditions. Common areas also great, I had the luck of enjoying them because there weren't many people due to the summer holidays. I strongly recommend this residence. Staying there was one of my best decisions over my time in Endinburgh.

Nido Castle Hill
After my third year living here I have no complaints. The staff is friendly and helpful, and is always on call so they will help at any time. My room has a kitchen with an oven, a microwave and a cooker, a bathroom with a shower, and a 3/4 bed big enough to fit two people. I would honestly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for one as it is a great place to live comfortably.

I recommend Nido Castle hill
Cambridge is a great place to study and Nido is in a good location for both college and town.
Nice quiet place with great helpful staff, always going out their way. Good gym and social space. Some traffic noise is the only negative as it’s on the busy junction, but I soon got used to this.

A great place to live!
This is my first year at Nido Castle Hill and I can honestly say it's been a great experience so far. The room is very modern, so is the rest of the building, and there's a cosy common room, laundry room, gym, etc. There have been some great social events since the beginning of the year where I've been able to meet other students living here and the staff are so friendly. I'd definitely recommend Nido!

Out of my expectation🤩
Choosing Nido House is one of my best decisions I have made during my 1 year master degree in London.
I still remembered the time when I first came here, everything was so new to me that I don't even know where to buy my groceries. Nido staff are so nice and helpful that they really helped me a lot, from the nearest groceries stores, to where to find a job, they will be here whenever you need help!
The whole accomodation is so neat and tidy. All the facilities you need are available (like gym, social area, and even games) Rooms are comfortable. The location is so convenient that its just a minute away from the underground, overground and even bus stop. There are even japanese and korean groceries stores in walkable distance!!!
What I really never expected is the way that people interact in Nido. All the flatmates are coming from all walks of lives. In here, I have never expected that I can make friends (more like a family) with my flatmates from different countries. They are just like my family. Cooking and chilling together. Thanks Nido for giving such a great experience in London❤

A place where you can feel like home.
I stayed at Nido during my exchange studies and I couldn't have taken a better decision. The place has a really friendly environment and the staff always helps you with anything you may need. Moreover is really clean and cosy.
Feels good to arrive to a new city and find a place where you can feel like home.

:(..
When we first moved in the flat was a mess, we had to get cleaners in after we’d moved in when all of this should have happened before we moved in, there was empty coke cans, no bin, tables on top of the sofa’s, dirty oven and sink etc. Our fridge then broke the sofa’s are falling apart and after 4 months of being promised new ones we still haven’t received them, our fire alarms and extractor fan do not work in the kitchen and I’d say that’s a massive safety hazard. Nido clearly do not care about the students that pay to live here even though they insist they do! The staff at reception are rude and condescending you could stand in front of them waiting for help and they will look at you then carry on their conversation with each other. The whole parcel situation is silly Hope anyone thinking of living here doesn’t.

Terrible communication by staff
Terrible communication by staff. They pretended they were going to be helping with problems I had with my accommodation, right up until I paid rent. As soon as rent was paid they had my money and didn't need to pretend they would do anything for me.
If you're a student thinking of booking, I'd think twice. Walls are super thin, and always smells of weed. Need to pick up a parcel that arrived this morning? Nope, you have to wait until after 6pm. Even if you go to reception and see your package sitting there they won't let you have it.

Nido is Home <3
Nido is home. This is my 3rd year at Nido and I love it. The location is perfect, it has everything available near the accomodation. The staff is so good especially Abi, she is so friendly and fun loving. I would recommend Nido to my friends and family.

Great experience.
Great experience.
Great central location, lovely interiors; helpful, cheerful and super helpful team. And most importantly, your privacy is fully respected! Nice initiatives (Tuesday Breakfast Club, Yoga, etc. etc.). The washing-drying system works perfectly. Love my studio, could not ask for more!
Thank you.

Highly recommended student accommodation in Glasgow!
Living at Boyce house has been an amazing experience! All the facilities available such as the cinema room, karaoke room, dining room etc have given us the ability to socialize and really create a nice environment in this accommodation building. All the social events have also helped with that and have given us, the residents, the chance to try out different things such as yoga and have lots of fun. The staff is very friendly and help out with any enquiries which also makes the whole experience even better. The location is also very convenient as it’s a 10min walk to the city center and is very close to the University of Strathclyde and Glasgow Caledonian University. I definitely recommend this student accommodation building to any student in Glasgow!

Boyce House Glasgow
Staying at Boyce House has been an excellent experience so far! The building is immaculate and Nido have really listened to students when designing the building. There is a cinema room, karaoke room, fully equipped gym, games room and even a private dining room for dinner parties. I haven’t had any issues and reception are always so helpful in answering any queries as soon as possible. Would recommend living here to anyone studying in Glasgow, as it is conveniently located less than 10 minutes from Strathclyde and only a few minutes walk from Glasgow Caledonian. Everyone is so friendly and inviting and it is conveniently located only a few minutes walk from bars, restaurants and shopping!

Amazing place!
Nido Boyce house is a friendly, clean and great working environment for any student to be accommodated at during their university career. They constantly exceed my expectations and I have made a great family of friends here already. The descriptions are accurate in the photos of the rooms online and help is constantly available from reception. Also great facilities provided, such as the study room, to ensure a productive time spent even when not at university
