very disappointing experience with NIZACARs

I had a very disappointing experience with NIZACARs.

I prepaid the full amount for my car rental, and at no point during the booking process was it clearly stated that a credit card was mandatory or that I would need to show a return ticket to my home country, Since I used my AMEX Credit Card and Revolut Debit everywhere without any issue.

When I arrived at the desk, the staff member was unprofessional and spoke to me in a very disrespectful manner, as if I was trying to take the car without paying. She demanded a return ticket to my home country, which I have never been asked for by any car rental company before. I even showed my onward travel ticket, but she refused to accept it.

Because I urgently needed the car, I tried to resolve the situation immediately, even considering booking a return flight on the spot, but she still refused to provide the vehicle. Only then was I told that a credit card was required, and no alternatives were accepted, even if I want to paid full insurance, (this is the case with all rental car, if you pay the full insurance it means only $200 deposit needed not $1200 and not CreditCard).

In the end, I had to cancel and go to another company, where I received a car within 10 minutes without any issues.

This experience caused unnecessary stress and wasted time. Important requirements like credit card policies and documentation should be clearly stated during booking, and customers should be treated with basic respect.

I would not recommend this company.

Avoid!

Avoid!!
I rented a Mercedes for 6 days with Niza Cars and specified pickup/drop-off at the Malaga airport terminal. Issues:
1) Car pick-up and drop off with Niza cars was in an industrial area outside of the terminal
2) Niza car charged me twice Euro 150 for undisclosed and unauthorised charges in addition to the contract.

Very good car rental company with correct price

This was the third time we used Nizacars’ car rental and I believe not the last. They always have some good deals which makes the decision simple next to them, website is clear and car selection is fair enough. Shuttle bus arrived pretty fast, we got a nice car with all what we needed, the full insurance is recommended as it makes everything much easier, no hidden costs, no deposit no long return procedure. Online checkin didn’t work this time but the staff made it pretty fast for us.

Regarding the amount mentioned, it does not correspond to a fuel charge, but to a security preauthorisation related to the rental, which may cover different associated elements. This is only a temporary hold, which is automatically released after the rental has ended, depending on the card issuer’s processing times.

Incorrect Damage Fee

When I collected the vehicle, I recorded a video in the parking area, as recommended. This video clearly shows that the damage I am being charged for was already present before I started using the car.
