I found a car I was interested in on Autotrader and contacted the garage for a short video clip of the inside and outside, this was supplied promptly over WhatsApp. This was great because the garage is around an hour and forty minutes away from me and I didn't want to make the journey if it wasn't worth it. I then made an appointment and then visited and was given time to look over the vehicle and get familiar with it (there was a slight confusion when I arrived initially because someone else was looking at the car, but no big deal). There were no pushy sales tactics or trying to divert my attention to anything else or more expensive whilst speaking with Amin. He then took me for a short test drive, it was important for me to be a passenger so that I could listen to the vehicles engine in action. It was then time to have a discussion with my wife over the phone so as before, Amin gave me time and privacy to enable me to have this discussion. I decided this car was for me - so I was then introduced to Amin's friendly colleague Abdul and was guided to the office so that we could seal the deal. I couldn't get him to budge on the price, however considering similar vehicles elsewhere I do feel that I received a fair deal in terms of price as well as a boost in warranty. I placed my deposit and explained I'd call in the week to arrange collection, as I left I received a good firm handshake. A few days later, I called Abdul and arranged collection at the weekend, after making payment by a quick bank transfer. The bank details were sent to me which made it easy to make sure I sent the money to the correct account. When I arrived, Abdul and Amin were both present and the car was ready and waiting for me. I've been out on a couple of brilliant family days out in it already and, so far so good. There's always a little bit of nerves when buying a second hand car which I'm sure everyone can appreciate, but I have peace of mind that this vehicle has had a recent MOT, a health check and a service (oil change, filters etc). So as the title of my review says, a positive experience for me. Cheers.
