Thanks to my insurance company
Thanks to my insurance company, number one carpet cleaners have finally had to pay out for my my ruined carpet. After Ebony and Carol's rude and aggressive behaviour, I am finally satisfied. If any thing is damaged, contact your insurer if you have accidental damage. They may be able to help. Mine did.

I don't usually leave negative reviews but I was so messed around that I need to ensure others are not caught out the same way I was.
I booked two different carpet cleaning appointments, one for my new house and one for the rented accommodation I was leaving. Both were booked over a month ahead of time. I cancelled the first appointment, two weeks before the agreed date and it took over a month, and several phone calls, to get my money back.
Up to there I was fine, but 15 minutes before my second appointment, they called and cancelled, saying that they don't clean carpets that are not on the ground floor, as the technician has back problems. I was stunned, since this issue was not raised in any of the calls I had with them previously during the previous 2 months!
I was handing the keys over for the rented apartment that same week and could not get another company to come out in time. I will now lose part of my deposit because of them.
I am so disappointed and saddened by their lack of organisation, knowing that my apartment was on the second floor, and sending someone who has back issues to do the job. The lack of communication in only informing me 15 minutes before my appointment.
And now they reply to my negative review insinuating that I am not concerned with their employee's health and safety, when they are the ones that sent him!

Firstly, I am sorry for the amount of time it took you to receive your refund. Please note if we do need to refund for any reason then we usually do this within 2 days. I am not sure why your refund was not processed but we will be looking into that so it does not happen again.
Unfortunately the technician due to attend, has damaged his back and has to be careful with lifting the machine, this means he cannot attend any properties that require him carrying the machine up any stairs. As you made the booking online yourself this was not picked up on until the day of the appointment. For this I am truly sorry.
We are still currently in the process of updating our booking system, so that is does not allow customers to progress further if you have stairs as this does not alert us and this is something we need to be aware of.
As much as we hated letting you down, the technician's health and safety must come first, therefore we could not pressure him into continuing with this appointment.
I apologies for all the inconvenience caused.

Highly Recommended!
We had our 3 bedroom house cleaned by a very jolly and pleasant chap called Paul C. There was a small problem with the original time we had booked, but we worked things out and Paul was great about things. He even gave us a little extra for our money for the inconvenience. The cleaning results are really good and even though there was a minor issue we would have no hesitation in using No. 1 Carpet Cleaners again.

Freshen up between new Sofas and decorating. A carpet cleaning.
Having a change of Sofas so a good opportunity to have the carpets cleaned before the new ones come in. From quote to completion of the works, each stage of the process was simple and straightforwards.
Paul explained what he was going to do and clarified if there were any particular marks or stains to focus on. The carpet was covered in ground in dirt, but wear and tear as you would expect in a family home, with small child and small dogs.
Paul did a stunning job. Professional, got the job done. Will use again !! Thanks Paul

a person came, we looked at each other for a few moments, then he bravely asked me what the problem was, I asked him if he was from the cleaning company, he said yes, a few questions about the carpet followed, I had a call waiting at the medical clinic for an appointment, while I was talking to him, the nurse at the clinic answered me from the clinic, I said I have to answer he stayed with my wife, they looked at each other smiled and he left, I called to see what had happened, and he told me that he expected respect from customers. Great experience with No 1 carpet…
Great experience with No 1 carpet cleaners yesterday. Really pleasant guy turned up and has done a great job with our carpets which were pretty filthy after 6 months of lockdown. Would definitely recommend.
