Fantastic service

Unacceptable customer service

The first visit was good - the technician was on time and the clean was carried out well. However, the smell of urine was still lingering, so we booked a re-clean. This is where problems began. The company cancelled two dates for the re-clean because the technician was not available. After that they, without any confirmation from my side, booked us in for a date when nobody was at the house. Their technician showed up and was, understandably, turned away at the door by our cleaner who was not expecting anyone to come in. When I called the company to finally settle a date for a re-clean, their "manager" told me that they were not coming back. She was also quite rude and patronizing on the phone, and refused to admit that they sent a technician in error without confirming the date with me. A real shambles of a customer service and a shame for the technicians who work for them. Avoid.

Arranged to have carpets cleaned twice

Arranged to have carpets cleaned twice, both times they cancelled the day before it was due. Apparently in both cases the agent (different ones each time) had a medical emergency.

The last one was apparently taken into hospital last night with appendicitis, yet they already had a date for his return somehow. I decided I wouldn't waste another couple of weeks waiting around only for the same thing to happen again.

Complete time wasters and liars.

This was not just one agent, it was 2 separate agents (the latest was an agent from a near by region).

Pretty amazing that both agents fell ill and required operations the day before they were due. Or it could be that you are a bunch of liars. I'll let the public decide which seems more likely.

Terrible service awful company!

Terrible service awful company!! Please avoid!! First of all, their pricing is very deceptive even though they state there is no hidden charges. One room supposedly costs £24.99 but you need to make a minimum spend of £40 + VAT to use their services so what’s the point?

You have to pay for extras such as deep clean or extra room (which is not clearly explained either) just to make the minimum spend and when you add VAT costs which are also not clear it ends up being £50+ just for ONE room! I paid for two rooms to make the minimum spend (this was before I found out that it’s just basic water and vacuum they use and that I’d need to pay for a deep clean to get anything even decent) and ended up paying over £60+. I had stupidly assumed they’d use some sort of basic solution at least.

Was told by the carpet cleaner on the day that I should have bought a deep clean even though this wasn’t explained properly on the phone when booking otherwise I wouldn’t have used these cowboys and he tried to charge me extra on the day. He then did my two rooms in under 15 mins not even kidding!! And my rooms were very large!! They looked exactly they same as if he had never come I probably could have hired a carpet cleaning machine from a supermarket and done a better job. I feel so disgusted. Not a single stain removed.

I probably won’t get a refund as I’ve read other reviews saying that they don’t do refunds unless you have ordered a deep clean. And based on their robotic responses it’s clear that they don’t care about customer service or will even try to help me.

Horrible company, deceptive advertising and do a terrible job they should be closed down. Every positive review must have been paid for because only the negative reviews accurately describe the terribleness of this company.

As explained when inquiring, it is not cost efficient for the technician's to travel for one room therefore we do have a minimum spend. We do make this clear and there is no pressure to go ahead with the quote. Again we do explain that not everyone requires a Deep Clean therefore that is offered as an extra on the day (again not compulsory). It is our strongest clean and we do recommend this, if your carpets have stains however we can't guarantee these will remove. The cleaning time all depends on the condition of the carpets, and the technician's will spend as long as it needs to ensure the best possible results. I am sorry this is not the outcome you had hoped for.

Unfortunately I am also a very disappointed customer with my living room carpet clean. Mis communication as to what type of clean I was having - I thought a clean was a clean as stated on website. That is - all stains are removed. My light oatmeal carpet had a couple of darker areas but on the whole looked quite clean. It now looks worse. The darker areas are worse and I have added dark streaks which look like marks from the cleaning nozzle. I emailed about it yesterday - no reply. I contacted sales - no returning answer - apparently went off shift. I then rang - expecting a call from a manager tomorrow. To be honest, I would have been better doing it myself to have paid £48 for this. I’m hoping the manager will ok a 2nd clean and this will do it.

We do have two different cleans, the standard Shampoo and Steam clean & our strongest clean - Deep Clean. We book all our customers in for a Shampoo clean unless our customers asks otherwise as not everyone requires the stronger clean. It is the best clean for any carpets that do have stains/marks however we can't guarantee they will remove. I would like to look into this for you, as the carpets shouldn't look worse and if they do have marks from the cleaning nozzle, we would need to rectify this. I wouldn’t even rate 1 star!! .. booked a service and come home to my sofa left saturated in filthy water and not cleaned (I’d do a better job myself) AND TRIED TO CHARGE ME MORE!!! Called up 10 times (not exaggerating) to finally speak to someone decent who knew what they was going on about. (Sales team doesn’t know anything about what services they provide) arrange for a re-visit the following day.... yes you guessed it? NO SHOW. I called on the morning and spoken to 5 advisors and not one of them could tell me the driver wasn’t coming. It “had to come for a manager” .. did the manage call me back on that day? .. you guessed it NO!!! .. they arrange for me to have a refund. We are now 19 days later and I still haven’t had my refund or a call back, I since today have called up 4 times and again spoken to pointless useless advisors who know nothing and said “manager will call you”

The company shouldn’t be trading and the customer service need to be ashamed of themselves is disgraceful.

STAY AWAY! do not do as advertised

The most abysmal customer service my appointment was cancelled last min twice.

They also fail to actually do as advertised. It’s not any room for £24 it’s actually £48 EXCLUDING VAT! Minimum spend.

When trying to explain my frustration, Instead of being helpful they were rude and aggressive on the phone.
Eventually on the day of the wrf attempt the techno room calls half an hour early to say he wants to come in immediately and has been waiting outside?!?
After 5 mins I go down and he starts shouting at me that I’ve been asleep and should have answered the phone!

Disappointed

The parts of the carpet that were cleaned were good, but areas of the carpet (under each sofa) hadn't been cleaned at all.
Two marks on the freshly decorated wall that I was assured were water marks are still there 4 days later....not a good job. I will have to get the carpet cleaned again now

Complete let down and rip off.

Really let down by this company. I was charged £60 to clean a large lounge when the website was offering £25 for any size room. Not only that but every superficial mark I had on the carpet remained untouched. Overall the carpet looked no different. The technician was polite enough and not wanting to be rude, I saved my complaint for head office. They took my initial query but I haven't heard since. they offered to clean it again but I didn't want to go through the hassle of moving all the furniture a second time. I thought it fairer to be given a partial refund to reflect the value of the work done, but this has yet to go anywhere. I felt like an inconvenience to the person on the phone rather than a dissatisfied customer they'd like to resolve. Will not be using again.

We booked the appointment, they let us down.

Dreadful treatment by the technician after booking the cleaning service. He never turned up and we had to ring him but he said he was ringing us. We had moved all the furniture downstairs and prepared the rooms. He said he was running late as he had fallen off the ladder but would be there later. We waited. He never arrived. We rang him again as it was now very late and he said he had had a car crash. Will never book this company as the technician working our area does not honour booked appointments. We used another company and recommend the other company to all friends and neighbours.

Awful all round.

Changed the time of appointment via text msg at the last minute. Phoned to ask to change back, as I was moving and would not be there. The telephone staff were unhelpful, stupid and a waste of space. The job didn't get done and as it turns out, I'm glad it didn't as these reviews sum up the lack of quality of work.
Terrible company. I'll never use them.

Carpets and chairs look fantastic

My Carpets and chairs look fantastic. Only bug I have is you pay your deposit then on the day it was recommended that the member of staff should use a pre treatment and a scrub which costs extra per item being cleaned. There was no pressure to do this but it was obvious that if I wanted the best job that this was needed. I did chose to pay the extra and got a good result if honest. Pre warn about the amount of water that goes on the floor would be good as well I think.

Don't bother

Don't bother. I booked carpet cleaning on 6 December for 18 December (tomorrow) and had to pay a 50% deposit of £24. They sent me an email this morning saying they had changed the date to 16 December (yesterday!!). When I rang, they said they would contact their ''technician'' and call me back. No call back so I rang again, same story. They've now sent me an email to say they've cancelled the appointment because there's no technician covering my postcode! Thanks a million - just moved in, having visitors at the end of the week and the carpets are dirty.

Taken to the Cleaners

I do not wish to bore the reader with my tails of disappointment dissatisfaction and general disgust. Suffice to say that No 1 Carpet Cleaners take your money but fail to turn up!! Therefore you are literally taken to the cleaners, your time and day is wasted. Use this company at your peril. Thankfully I used a credit card to pay and will be getting my money back.
