Disgusting service

Made an appointment for 10 o'clock paid upfront. Recieved a text the day before saying they changed the appointment to 12 o'clock didnt ask just changed it. I waited in and by 1 o'clock nobody had turned up. I rang the 0800 number on the text and was told the technician had changed it to 2 o'clock but hadnt told me. If I had wanted a 2 o'clock appointment I would have made it that time. Disgusting service.

A 1 star review although a bad one is…

A 1 star review although a bad one is still too much for this scam of a company!
We booked to have our rug & stair runner cleaned on monday afternoon & was offered 8am the next morning (first bad sign) received a text after the call which stated 'between 8 - 9am' guy turned up at 9am. We showed him what we needed cleaned & the guy said it would take half an hour (2nd bad sign) On completion of the job 30mins later, the guy rang to say it was finished & we returned home, he then asked us to sign to say the job was finished, he told us the dirty Marks still remaining was because items were still wet. When dry it became clear they were still as dirty, & they still smelled! When ringing to complain, I spoke to 3 very rude, argumentative & very unprofessional rather chavvy sounding women, this is after being ignored by 1 who refused to give me her name, unknown to me she had passed the buck to another patronising women who spoke over me (in fact they all did) was told the manager wasn't in even though I had spoke with her 2mins prior. Then conveniently for them, all managers had gone home early (so now there is more than 1 manager left the building?? Was told they would call back, & they didn't. We called back & was told to read the small print as what we apparently signed for was to decline a deep clean!
Utter & complete scam! .. These people should be ashamed, but karma has a way. AVOID unless you like wasting your hard earned cash & like being spoken down to just because they're not face to face with you! APPALING SERVICE & I truly hope they cease to trade!

Have you noticed how often the same…

Have you noticed how often the same name is entered in the 5 star reviews! My sanity was restored when reading bad reviews and it confirmed that this is a company that can't be trusted. I gave my first review in August and gave a 1 star for the initial administration and the chap actually turning up. I wasted £74.39 was a complete waste of time; not only did the carpet in sitting room and stairs not look any different, the paintwork was chipped around the front door which I noticed after he left and there was a very long delay getting a response from the email address I was given to complain. I finally spoke to a member of staff who was sympathetic and sounded genuine but on referral to her manager, my comments were ignored and she basically said that any refund would not be possible as I hadn't booked a 'deep clean'! No account was taken of the chipped paperwork and lengthy delay in addressing my complaint. Wasting this money is upsetting and the way the complaint was treated just adds insult to injury.

This Company are Scammers!

This deserves less than one star and I have spoken to my solicitor and Trading Standards about this, pending legal action.

Complaints including, but not limited to:
1. 'Hassled' by cleaning operative whilst in hospital with phone calls badgering me to move my appointment to an earlier time.
2. Operative, on arrival, spent 15 minutes of my time moaning about having to drive up from Dorest to London. Obviously not my problem.
3. Not one staff member of this company even attempted to ascertain the fabric of my carpets as different fabrics require different cleaning treatments.
4. Operative spilt dirty water, twice, all over my hallway.
3. The cleaning chemicals were in a WILCO container. When asked what the chemicals were, the answer was cagey, nondescript and ambiguous.
4. Total clean time for a whole house was 20 minutes.
5. Carpets were left sodden and stinking of wet dog for days.
6. Operative tipped dirty water directly in to the street on completion.
7. Carpets which I was told, " will take two to four hours to dry out". Took over 4 DAYS to dry.
8. Stair carpets in a three storey house left dirtier AFTER the clean.

I don't believe my carpets were actually cleaned at all. This was total con.

Appalling and shambolic 'service'. Full Refund requested.

To add. The Customer Service team got in touch after about a month and refused a refund. The woman who rang was hostile and rude. That is their Customer Service too!!!

I had a small landing area which had…

I had a small landing area which had had an accident so there was blood and red wine staining. The guy seemed to do a good job and I was pleased when he left but as the carpet dried, stains re-appeared. I've basically spent £48 on a deep steam cleaning which has just left me still needing to replace this piece of carpet. So a waste of £48 as to be honest, the carpet is still too stained to not be replaced. If it wasn't in such an obvious place you could maybe get away with it but in future I'd skip the attempts to clean and just replace the carpet.

Used many times but on the last…

Used many times but on the last occasion very disappointed I am 8 months pregnant I moved all my furniture out of living area and the technician left dirty water in his machine with left my home smelling of Dog made a complaint was told would fix the problem but never showed rung up was told he was ill so rebooked then 2nd time round told he was ill again and then I was told I had to pay again absolutely disgusting service was left in tears due to having a baby due soon and just wanted the job done properly.

Disgusting service

Disgusting service . Late had to re arrange. My partner took over appointment as I had to go to work. Came home and carpets were exactly tte same!@ absolute rip off should be closed down !
Just called them after the sent me a message about remedying the carpets to be told carpets were old and I should have asked for a deep clean. I only had the done 3 months ago but needed an end of tenancy clearance...as I said total rip offs !

Never in my life I've been treated so badly, avoid avoid avoid

I hope that everyone can spare time to read my review as warning so you never get in touch with this shameless place. I've never been so angry in my life and never been treated so badly and left so disappointed. I don't believe in a single positive review on here and I would encourage everyone to read all 1 star reviews as they very much resemble my experience. I've had my carpets cleaned on the 16th of November which left me very sad because I could see no difference whatsoever in the condition of the carpet, following a quick chat with live chat person they pointed me to Ebony (gave me her e-mail address) to make the complaint. After explaining to Ebony what happened she agreed (AFTER SPAEKING TO MANAGEMNET) that they will do a deep cleaning free of charge. we agreed to today 10-11, yesterday I got a random order update to say that it will be 8-9, which I thought was fine but a bit strange as they didn't agree it with me. I took a day off and was waiting today... It came to 9.15 and technician hasn't arrived, following a phone call to customer service an angry person rang me back saying that they will not be proceeding because I've declined deep cleaning as an additional service in the first place (on the 16th), she was very intimidating on the phone, kept saying that they have it black and white and literally didn't get me to speak, also she said that the person who I was dealing with on e-mail was training and got it wrong, when I asked how come as Ebony mentioned twice that she spoke to the management about the offer of free deep cleaning, person on the phone just said "there is no mention of management". Below I will copy my full e-mail conversation with Ebony as a proof. During the conversation I used an F word but not swearing directly at the agent just generally, to that she said " Oh this is a lovely swear word, calls are recorded and we will hold it against you", she repeatedly kept threatening me referring back to the fact that I used a swear word. I've never felt so intimidated and speechless. I couldn't believe that this was actually happening, I lived in this world for 32 years and have never seen anything like it. Eventually I've hanged up as I started to have panic attacks :( GUYS PLEASE AVOID FOR YOUR OWN SAKE. Here is the conversation and proof that so called person in training did speak to the management.

Before giving a bad review on trip advisor I would like to contact you to express how deeply disappointed I am with recent job done by one of your workers. I’ve attached an invoice for reference to show which job does it relate to.
I would like to understand what have I actually paid for given that there is no difference whatsoever, it feels like a huge rip of and waste of money. I’ve attached pictures to show what the carpet looked like before an after, if you wish to see more please let me know but essentially it’s the same as prior to cleaning. When your worker entered the building he suggested paying for additional deep cleaning which would be extra 50 pounds but still wouldn’t guarantee getting rid of stains. He also mentioned that the job won’t take long at all and that carpets are generally clean so it won’t help much. From the beginning I was quite upset as I felt like it was only being explained to me what this cleaning won’t do (and how quick it will be after initial set up) rather than what it will. And it was quite right – there was no positive effect. We have done carpet cleaning before with a very simple and cheap equipment and basic detergents and have had more luck. I am not entirely sure what’s caused this problem – should it have been cleaned longer or should better chemicals be used but as you will understand it just doesn’t feel right to pay for something that does not bring any benefit.

What are the stains? We can never guarantee the stains will remove whatever clean you have. It all depends on what they are, how long they have been on carpet, condition of carpets ect.
We try to tell our customers all the positives along with what could be classed as a negative. We don’t want our customers to feel pressured into having any extras if they don’t want to but we need to inform you off all the outcome.

I totally understand the fact that bigger stains didn’t come off and I am not sure if you understood my point – I am not questioning that. I would like to understand what was the point of getting carpet “professionally cleaned” if I cannot see any difference, carpet doesn’t look any better/any cleaner/didn’t smell any fresher.
He was there maybe 15 minutes after the set up.
Can I please request a full refund as I could literally classify it the same as a no show/no service provided.

Daniel Burke was professional, thorough and generally a really nice guy. He exceeded expectations, cleaning the carpet extremely well and so quickly. I had no dealings with customer service just with Daniel and my experience was fantastic and I would highly recommend!!

Extremely poor customer service…

Extremely poor customer service experience left me feeling that the companies name Is somewhat unconsidered. No cleaner turned up for the agreed appointment and no courtesy call to advise me. Refund of deposit takes 10 days despite being advised by supervisor differently. Additionally seemed very reluctant to share their complaints policy with me.

Poor service & awful customer service

What a terrible service. I would leave zero stars if it was an option! Had my carpets and sofas “cleaned”. After the first attempt there was dirt lines left all over my sofa due to not being cleaned properly. After a negotiation with their “customer service” team they sent the technician back to re-clean the sofas. This was still not satisfactory as still showed some of the dirt. After numerous attempts of trying to get hold of their customer service team again I was passed to a manager. To say they were disrespectful is an understatement. I sent photos of the issues which clearly showed dirt marks not there before which I was told this was satisfactory and they were happy with the level of clean that I received. This manager then went on to tell me that my carpets (nothing to do with what I was complaining about) were in poor condition and were not fit to be cleaned and they would throw them out If they were theirs. Bearing in mind they have only been laid 2 years in a child free house where no shoes are worn I was shocked by their attitude and sheer disrespect. Would highly recommend reconsidering this company. They are a franchise and only care about turnover and not customer satisfaction.

Very bad experience with No 1 Carpet…

Very bad experience with No 1 Carpet Cleaners Wokingham. The cost of cleaning a 3 piece suite ended up considerably more than quoted and accepted over the 'phone, £85.00 including VAT. This came about because the technician, Ross Shannon, immediately advised that the clean I had ordered wasn't up to the job and only the more costly "deep clean" would give satisfaction. For that he quoted £110 but did not say that VAT would be added. The total bill was therefore a nasty surprise (after all, the original quote included VAT). Deceptive quoting and no response from the company. And the clean? Very poor. No compensation there.

Poor service

I rarely write reviews but I'm very unhappy with the company. The appointment was scheduled on the 21of Nov at 4 pm., confirmed by the text on the phone, deposit paid. Closer to the date I received a text message saying it was rebooked on the same date at 6 pm. Although it was surprising as I didn't request rebooking, I thought the time suited me fine so I accepted it. Made a call to the company in the morning to confirm 6 pm. just in case. At 5.30 pm on the day I received a call from the company saying that technicians don't normally work after 6 pm and that it should be rescheduled another day. The next available appointment is on the 1st of Dec. I requested cancellation as I found it unacceptable. The refund takes from 5-10 working days. Awful customer service, no explanation for confusion or any flexibility in appointment reschedule.

Booked my slot for 10 AM wait until 1…

Booked my slot for 10 AM wait until 1 PM no technician come, no updates from the sales team, calling them they said they'll back in touch soon. No updates afterward. Email the customer service and they just told me that they can't contact the technician, which is completely out of my business. Very bad service. Wasted time and disappointed.

they don’t turn up!

Booked on Wednesday for 3 room clean on Saturday. The money went, several texts and emails to confirm time & date. Saturday arrives, spent ages clearing the rooms and vacuuming but they didn’t turn up. The customer service team weren’t interested at all. No manager to speak to and a refund will take 10 days!! Don’t touch them with a barge pole! I’m furious.
