James is an excellent instructor, he helped me pass first try he's very patient and friendly and I absolutely recommend him!

James Keefe from No Gears Automatic Driving School Stevenage has helped me so much to become a brilliant safe and defensive driver. Could not thank him enough for the time, effort and dedication he put into to making me the best driver i can possible be. I now have the confidence and pleasure to drive safely onto the roads without any fear. If anyone were to ask me for any recommendations for driving instructors, i would not hesitate one bit to recommend James. He has done everything he can to help me pass and it has worked.

It was always a pleasure to learn from James and I will miss our lessons! James has helped me overcome my driving trauma and turnt me into a confident & defensive driver which is exactly what I was looking for. James provides very helpful handouts to assist with lessons as well as accompanying videos to help improve driving outside of lessons. James persisted with me & helped to tidy up my mistakes and I will be forever thankful for him and the standards he expected of me.

James was very flexible with me, being happy to pick me up from the train station if it was more convenient for me and he will truly do everything in his power to help you become an independent driver set for life if you let him.

I would highly recommend James to any person thinking to take driving lessons and with full confidence can tell you that he has the experience and you can pass with him as your instructor given you listen to him and put in the hard work needed.

I can’t thank David Tuke enough for getting me thru my fit to dive test for DVLA. As a quadruple amputee I didn’t have any confidence and didn’t think I’d be able to drive again but David’s patience and understanding pushed me on, he gave clear instructions and offered useful tips for a better driving experience. If you’re looking for an understanding tutor due to any form of disability look no further than David Tuke, I passed my fit to drive test after 5 hours of familiarisation lessons and I now have the confidence to get back on the road to independence

Couldn’t recommend Alan Smithson enough! He is kind and patient and always encouraging you. He is attentive and always wants the best for you by not rushing anything and practicing untill perfect. He helped me past first time with only ONE minor at the bishops storford test centre.

I started my driving lessons with Akbar 14 months ago, riddled with anxiety and fear. Akbar was amazing at helping me overcome all my fears, he took it at my pace, without pressure but encouraged me when I needed a push. He has the best banter, and made me laugh, the learning environment was relaxed and comfortable, and felt like I was driving with a friend. He built my confidence up to where I started believing in myself. I am a totally different person now than I was back then all thanks to him! He has the patience of a saint and I have made a friend for life. I would recommend him to anyone, can't thank him enough and I will actually miss our lessons together.

I started my lessons back in August/September after taking a few years off driving. I managed to pass first time thanks to James and his brilliant teaching!! Driving has always been something I’m fearful of and James made it no longer scary!

Akbar is Really good driving instructor. highly recommend him he is a very lade back guy and polite. taught me to drive in about 3 months and I got a pass first time. really sound guy 👍

His sense of humor was amazing—every lesson felt more like spending time with a friend rather than being in a formal learning environment. He had such a natural way of explaining things that made everything click, and his patience was unmatched.Thanks to his guidance and encouragement, I passed my test first time! I couldn’t be more grateful for the confidence he helped me build and the laughs we had along the way. My instructor, Akbar, was absolutey awesome! *Supremely* calm and patient, he managed to transform me from a borderline amaxophobic gibbering jelly into a reasonably competent driver who was able to pass first time. A good laugh too. Can't recommend enough!

Carl slater is an incredibly kind, supportive and brilliant driving instructor. After two previous instructors I was a very nervous learner. Thanks to Carl I’ve not only improved my confidence but I’ve also learned to love driving too. He’s always been super helpful and has always made me feel at ease- something which id never previously had. Highly recommend Carl to everyone, and is the sole reason I’m a happy driver now!

Very poor customer service. As I hadn’t paid instantly and instead a few hours later for a lesson in a few days time, my lesson was cancelled, had quite passive aggressive communication and since then, they haven’t answered any of my calls. I would avoid this company and find one that treats customers with respect.

I have passed my driving test today with the help and lessons from Carl Slater. I would recommend him to anyone, as he made me feel ease when doing my lessons and always had a laugh so going to miss my lessons now. But thank you so much really appreciate it. Great driving instructor!

Had all my lessons with Carl and he is an amazing instructor who instantly puts you at ease. I progressed with every lesson, everything was explained in a succinct way that's easy to understand and great conversations made all the hours fly by. Passed first time with his guidance, highly recommend.

Had my driving lessons with Carl and he is by far the most comfortable person to drive with and very understanding! Lessons was not only for learning driving but also learning about other things that most probably don’t know! He made the lessons fun and not boring, would defo recommend Carl for automatic lessons. I passed today with only 1 minor fault!😁
