Noone good, Home Telecom bad.
Invited to do a review by Home Telecom. Overall I can't fault Noone they have been fair, have great customer services and City Fibre's service in my area has been excellent. Unfortunately this was when I joined about 5 months ago. Little did I know around this time Noone was being acquired/partnering with Home Telecom. Overall their takeover has been poor and their billing services have been even worse, with erroneous letters about missed payments which were later confirmed as being sent by mistake and recalled.
I really like Noone but since Home Telecom took over it's lost its personal charm. Recently we have been told (despite promised no mid contract price increases) that our monthly bill will be raised by a fixed price of £3/pm every year (which is higher than RPI). Unfortunately it seems that Home Telecom is desperate to squeeze this cash cow for as much money as possible. I guess it's my fault for believing a 'promise' that was later witgdrawn. It is also unfortunate that they are not enrolled in Ofcoms speed promise so be wary of service quality dependant on your area.
Unfortunately I was unaware that from the notice of the price increase I had 30 days to withdraw from my contract penalty free because this was a material change to the contract. This time period has passed and I only became aware after the 30 days thanks to other reviewers. This was not clearly stated at the time.
I think this is a case for trading/consumer standards as my options had not been clearly communicated at the time, instead it looks like they've waited for the clock to tick in hopes people don't exercise this contractual right.
It seems that many customers have received an email from Home Telecom asking to review the company but the timing seems very suspicious and the practice seems unethical and dishonest given the timing.
From what I understand the price increase is down to 'current market conditions' and being 'unsustainable' which is understandable but it's been handled so incredibly unprofessionally and seems to have upset many people, who would have thought going back on a promise would upset so many?
I will be leaving when up for renewal out of principal.
Here is a copy of the email we received, this has been the only correspondence, no attachments or documentation such as new contract, or anything highlighting that we could leave:
"It's just us, your broadband provider, Ofcom have asked the broadband industry to move to a fixed increase, to keep things simpler and more predictable for you.
This matches the terms of your broadband contract, your monthly price will increase by £3 per month from 1st April 2025.
You can find our tariffs and charges document at the bottom of every page on our website.
Thank you for being a valued customer.
Kind Regards,
The Home Telecom Team"

No longer an excellent company to deal with
Edited on 15 April 2025.
Unfortunately since I wrote my original review, customer support has moved to Home Telecom and the service is not as good as it was with No One. Such a shame.

I was told I would be kept informed of the charges that would apply to my account from April. I opposed to that decision as when I was about to leave home telecom, the company asked me for chance to do better and I excluded all this reason like price hike, performance issues and was told for a year I won't be afectedwith any extra price increase. No one got back to me informing about the outcome.

Can't fault them
Can't fault them.
Download/Upload speeds are as promised.
The only loss of service I've had was due to an issue with CityFibre's cabling that took 4 days over a weekend to fix. This was very much CityFibre's failing rather than No One but they still gave me 2 months free service by way of an apology/compensation.

Joining No One Broadband
I did some homework on the customer service aspect and clarity of advice and support given from a few companies. No One was the best by a significant distence.
Having spoken to No One Custmer Services team on a number of occassions, I was surprised how polite, patient and clear they had been on helping me work through some of my concerns. They were true to their word about communication and always professional.
I would recommend them as a company as they really do go the extra mile to help when you have issues.

New customer
Only just joined but looking forward to a more stable network connection after a very rocky switch over. So far we cant complain about the service but despite a booster we still encounter coverage issues around the house from time to time, with average speed dropping down.

1 year in no issues
Clear communication. Straightforward expectations laid out. Well mannered, efficient installers. Excellent price and service delivered. So far no connectivity issues. Not had any need to contact customer support or services.

Absolutely first class service
Absolutely first class service, at a very fair price. I haven't had a single problem, from signing up or throughout my contract. Never experienced any drop outs or dips in connection speed. In fact quite the opposite, just constant high speeds and a great connection. I highly recommend.

Like that after one month hoping my price went up by £3 and there’s no online app you can use for quickness too look at your account so you have to use website instead very dated and not much information so glad I’ve only signed up for the 12 month deal first has may leave just because they are so behind in tech regarding accounts

No one from No One cares about poor service
No One (Home Telecom) have invited me to write a review on their service. I am still waiting for a response on my query from two weeks ago about my speeds dropping to single digit mbps. They got me to do a specific speed test, they blamed CityFibre and then nothing. Another drop out yesterday. But they send their monthly invoice and price increase emails ok. Also when I signed up, they didn't bother to do the one touch switch service with my previous provider. They're not signed up to Ofcom's speed code of practice so cannot pursue any speed issues through them and they try and charge £180 for engineer call outs. Consensus is that since HT acquired No One, their service has plummeted. Like my speeds. I'm on 900/900 and have been getting as little as 22 down and 3 up recently.

Great speed and fair prices
Great speed and helpful when I had issues switching from BT. Disappointed they’ve now changed T&Cs to include a yearly price increase - the reason I switched was because of their no price rise promise…

Home Telecom - Pretty poor experience from the start
EDIT 11/3/25
No One Internet contacted me and have to say the service I got was excellent. One of their support engineers connected to my router and checked all was ok . Was on a call with them for about an hour looking at all the settings etc.
My issue is with Home Telecom. Their customer service is abysmal. I’ve only ever dealt with Home Telecom as they provide the support for No One but their support is non existent. Was just a case of we’ll send a new router and see if that does anything.
Pretty poor experience from the start. Speeds were considerably lower than expected. Took weeks, if not months to try and get anything done about it. In the end I just gave up. Think the name suits them as NO ONE really seemed interested at all to try and help. I did get one email apologising and was offered a free month but that never happened. Sent a complaint email and didn’t get a response. The only communication I got was them sending the monthly invoice. They had no problem sending that out. Will see out my contract and immediately swap to another provider.
