This company, made a very difficult and stressful time, so much easier, by their help and professionalism. A hire car was organised in less than a day, and all other communication was done in a clear and caring manner. Staff were very understanding and informative.

Northgate were instructed by my insurance company to supply a courtesy car while ours was being repaired following an accident. An appropriate vehicle was delivered, SUV automatic. The hand over and collection took place seamlessly. The vehicle was spotless. A great experience.
Northgate (Auxillis) were very capable with respect to managing the repair of my car that was recently involved in a "no fault" accident. The only slight problem I had was that I had paid extra on my premium to have a like for like courtesy car while the repair was being underetaken. Auxillis tried telling me they were having difficulty sourcing a similar vehicle (BMW X7), which is unacceptable, as they had no problem taking my money! I. The end I got a large Land Rover discovery, which was quite acceptable. Apart from that, the service was first class.

Was told by the my insurance to get hire car from them. Nothgate started a new investigation after I have given all info to my insurance. It was like a police interigation even though its not their business.
Mostly coz I am asian on the other end of a phone and not white. Very dispointed I their services and call handeling poor. Been calling them and they put you on hold and drop the line. Please avoid this compony as they as they sound fascist to non white.

Kate organised a replacement vehicle whilst my own undergoes the necessary repairs and was overall just so helpful. The kind of customer service we come across so little nowadays. I hope this is picked up by Northgate and Kate is recognised for her services accordingly.

Not a great experience. The people who actually deliver the vehicle vehicles were good – very prompt and communicative. Unfortunately, the first car I was given had a defect and had to be swapped out.
The real issues happened after I had decided I did not need the vehicle anymore. The insurance was cancelled almost instantly, but the vehicle was not collected for several days. This meant that I was unable to fill up the fuel to the correct level and received a £45 charge – far in excess of the cost of the fuel.
I did point this out to Auxilis but of course they wanted their money and life is too short. They told me that they would take it from the card that they had on file on two occasions, but were unable to for unexplained reasons. Shortly afterwards, I got an email threatening me with court action. They just seemed to send this out automatically.
When I emailed them they told me that they were unable to take the payment so I just sent it to them and they left me alone, but who sends out this sort of correspondence when the problem is on their end?
I would not use them again.

After being involved in a accident by a third party, it was sent to auxillis, I received a call 2days after the accident to arrange a replacement vehicle, when the gentleman John called to arrange the replacement vehicle they advised that they only have a larger van which I advised was not fit for purpose. I was told they will try get one the same size as my van and will give me a call back with an update. No call no update. I get a call the next day from the driver telling me they’re on the way to drop me off the replacement vehicle. When they arrived it was the same vehicle which I categorically told them was not suitable not only that the vehicle was absolutely filthy inside out so I told the driver I’d like to decline and he basically told me to lump it and call the office back and deal with it that way. Since 12 o’clock till 5:30 it’s taking me to try and resolve this issue and it’s still not resolved. Very bad customer service very unprofessional

Auxillis managed the accident repair of my Isuzu truck, involved in a rear impact in September 2025, said repair being carried out by Steer Group. The replacement bumper bar from Isuzu was placed on back order, all other repairs were competently carried out. I took back the truck and was told the towbar would be fitted on receipt of it from Isuzu. By April, the towbar had still not arrived. I was by this time, after repeatedly chasing up Steer Group and Auxillis, getting very frustrated. I knew that I could get the towbar replaced myself without issue - and quickly, so I suggested to Auxillis that they pay me up front in lieu of the replacement. They agreed to do this and I sent them three estimates from separate companies, in early May. I am still waiting and have been told by Auxillis that they have asked the third party insurers to make the payment. I would have assumed that the original invoice sent to the third party insurers would have included the cost of the towbar- even if it had not yet been fitted. Nevertheless, this has been a disaster. I would advise against anyone using this company in such circumstances.
