great course
There was lacking in reviewing …
There was lacking in reviewing information for the LANA exam. I did not feel that the course made any effort to review information that would be included on the exam.
It was an intense course But so worth it
It was an intense course that you need to work out but feel well prepared to use this in my practice. I loved the instructors
Good class but bad organization of information!
The class being 9 days straight was expected BUT the curriculum being taught by your instructors did not match the information given to us. We found ourselves having to take picture of slides and writing down almost full paragraphs because we could not find the information in our copy of the PowerPoints. The instructors were wonderful and the location was great. I just wish the organization of the material was better considering we spent $3000 for the course not including hotel and flights. This must be changed for future classes!
Excellent expericence
The content was thorough. The information was condensed and intense for the amount of time we had for the class. The teachers were knowledgeable, informative and patient when answering our questions. I would highly recommend the Norton School for professionals seeking Certification in Lymphatic Therapy.

Great instructors and layout of information. Material/lecture followed up with hands on learning. Loved the way that we spent so much time on what we are doing as a CLT. Would recommend Norton to anyone who is interested in becoming lymphedema certified!
Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy …
Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy offered a tremendous learning experience. It offered a variety of learning styles to accommodate any type of learner. There was a ton of hands on experience and I learned more than I expected. It is a lot of work and intense during the time, but totally worth it in the end! My instructors were tough, but needed to be in order to get all the content in and make sure we got the outcomes we needed. Thank you for this experience!
Wonderful experience
Wonderful experience and learned so much! It was an intense week but so worth it! Both teachers were great and really helped us understand and learn not just to pass tests but so we can problem solve and apply in real clinical situations. Highly recommended!
I took a chance of the CLT seminar …
I took a chance of the CLT seminar because it was held in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I did not have to drive to other states. In the seminar, there were 9 participants. I am the only male. In the beginning, when we did MLD or compression bandaging, girls got paired each other quickly. I felt left out. As the time went by, thanks to the instructors' guidance, a group of three alternately practiced one another. In the end, things went well for all nine participants. I watched compression bandaging on youtube video before the seminar. That helped a lot. I am so glad to take the chance to be in the CLT seminar in Tulsa. Thanks to all the girls in the seminar , instructors, vendors, and Norton School. Steve Norton helped me through e-mail when I faced with difficult situation in CDT. I will do my very best to help people with lymphedema professionally and ethically. Thanks to all.
Excellent course
Excellent course! I learned so much and felt that I could apply what I learned the next day at work. Definitely would recommend to a friend
Best spent week
It was one of the best courses I had . Both instructors were masters of their fields especially Beth's compassion for this field was astounding. Thanks to comprehensive coaching I was able to hit the floor running .
Teachers were good
Teachers were good, not enough info on how to teach the clients how to wrap themselves. Not enough explaination on how to conduct a session, what to recommend for a clients visits and what they can expect . Hardly any training or suggestions on jobs. I felt left out in the cold . The training on gament fitting was a joke. Felt like Massage therapist were not welcome and this was out of our league. However, the training material, resourses and books were amazing. The classes were very very helpful.
CDT was excellent.
The CDT program was excellent for me with the home study portion of the program and then to come to my area for the in-class portion. I learned that I too have lipedema and how to care for myself, as well as others. I met all ranges of professionals, OT, PT, LMT, LPN, and a PA. I recommend the Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy to anyone seeking to learn more about lymphedema, lipedema, and mixed edemas. As a LMT, I have added a deeper understanding to my massages and ability to assist my clientele with a modality that is needed greatly in my communities.
This is such a great experience
The teachers were both knowledgeable however adapting to teaching style may take time but it is sooooo worth it when you know you can help so many people who often times struggle for years before getting appropriate care!
Professional Instructors
Professional Instructors, as well the team in the school were very helpful with paper work and any request coming from the students. I will and I am recommend to all therapist to do there CDT cerification in Norton school.
Norton School
The second, and primary instructor, saved the day! She was superb! With her instruction, I felt like I knew what I was doing by the end of the course. Now, after having some experience with actual patients, I feel like I am sufficiently equipped to perform good care. The first instructor was very poor. She seemed overwhelmed and would contradict herself frequently, creating an environment of mistrust. I also didn't like the location of the class. It was in a congested area of the city and parking was difficult. Our room was in the basement of a hotel with no windows and uncomfortable chairs. Time was scheduled to learn from a live lymphedema patient, but the opportunity did not arise. Looking back, it would have been a good experience to actually see someone with lymphedema other than in a picture. Overall, I felt like I was well-prepared.
Utilizing this school of CDT
Utilizing this school of CDT, many of our patients don't have relapse and manage their lymphedema well.
Great learning, poor execution
Norton school of lymphatic therapy achieved the goal of teaching lymphatic basics. The teachers WERE knowledgeable and absolutely fantastic, however there was no syllabus that they followed and somedays we even got out late which was a TOTAL bummer given we are in class for 10 hours/day. I wanted to scream "hey, we're in class on time in the morning, be respectful of our time and let us out ON time". The sanitary hygiene which should be organized by the instructor was not. The students took the initiatives to change the sheets and even BOUGHT more hand sanitizer for the whole class, when the instructor did not. They are behind in technology. So if you think you will get flawless video streaming....you are wrong. Overall I think they did a nice job teaching, while some of the administrative side was lacking....
I highly recommend the Norton School's program for lymphedema certification.
The significant time for hands-on learning and the devotion of the instructors to detail were extremely important for building skills and being prepared to begin practicing lymphedema therapy. The program also gives students a good foundation from which to build when preparing for the LANA certification exam.
