Excellent information/intructors - lacked structure and quality materials.

You will leave this course with an incredible understanding of not only lymphedema but all types of edema and how to manage them. The instructors are experts and excellent teachers. The downfalls of the course come with outdated study materials, lack of clear syllabus and testing expectations, mediocre supplies/class location, and distracting class population. Our class was a mix of OTs, PTs, and massage therapists. While lymphedema management is pertinent to massage therapists, this course requires a thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology making this course very difficult for many of the massage therapists in my class. This frequently held up our class and limited the complexity of cases we were able to discuss. It would be more appropriate to have a separate course for massage therapists.

All said, for the cost of the course, the materials and location should be of the best quality but I am happy with the information and skills I learned.

Excellent Course

Excellent course to take - so thorough, with a support system not only during the course, but afterwards with classmates - and the instructors encourage us to reach out to them with questions. Highly recommend!

Excellent Program

The certification program is intense, however, very rewarding. The instructors are very knowledgeable and I was able to see immediate results when I returned to work. I would highly recommend Norton School for your certification.

Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy

Excellent instructors. Plenty of supplies to practice with. You will fill confident in your technique when you leave. It would be helpful to have a live patient for demo.

Julia is great

Thank you to Julia, instructor in Urbana, Ill. Thoughtful explanations, examples and shared treatment ideas. I appreciated her style of instruction as well as her expertise. Thank you Julia for bring actual patients (lymphedema) for the class to observe and touch and learn.

Great intro to Lymphatics

Loved the teachers, they were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Course content was very thorough introduction to physiology lymphatics, disease and differential diagnosis, manual lymph drainage and compression treatment and even case studies with a real patient. It was a hard course to cover in the time allotted. Personal preference would have been to spread it over 2 weeks rather than 10 days. But very glad to have taken the course. I think this should be offered in all the PT programs as it is very useful. Currently Germany educates all their PT in CLT.

Cincy lymph training

Great instructors. Both were very knowledgeable. Each day began with review of text book material that lasted majority of the morning. Second half of class was all hands on. I am a concrete learner. Therefore, the hands on portion was where I learned and gained the most knowledge. Our class was small, maybe 10 or 11 people. I would definitely recommend this company and course to anyone interested in expanding their knowledge and skill in treating lymphedema.

Excellent course

This was an excellent course that was put together from experts in the field of lyphemeda therapy. The course is definitely worth the money. However,
Do not underestimate the difficulty and stress level of this course. It is an insane amount of work and incredibly fast pace packed into the 9 day course. This school provides you with amazing resources even after you are done with the course. Regrettably, I have not been able to find a lymphedema job since the course. I would highly recommend this school
And course, but be very prepared ahead of time!

Excellent Class

This is the first class I have taken in 5 years that I actually felt like I could practice the next day and use the techniques I learned. My instructor is still available to ask questions about challenging patients after the class was over. I was nervous about not living through a 9 day class since I usually feel exhausted by day 2 of a typical weekend continuing ed class. The lecture materials and lab time were so interesting that the classes went by really fast. Our class got along really well so it was fun to see and work with each other daily. Absolutely would recommend Norton to any therapist or provider wanting to treat lymphedema.

The knowledge I gained has allowed me to be the only full-time CLT in a research hospital and major cancer center.

The location and space for the course was fantastic, and the instructors were unforgettable. The teaching techniques used were very helpful and allowed me to digest a wealth of information in a short period of time. I have many resources at my fingertips now through all of the tips and tricks of the trade shared during the course, and I am excited to be a part of the lymphedema treatment community. I highly recommend the Norton School and am confident I received the best training possible. I now have the tools to be the only full time CLT in a major nationally recongnized research hospital and cancer center.

Great Course

The head and neck course was great. I thought the book the instructor put together was a valuable resource. He also gave us access to handouts for our patients. This meant being able to apply techniques right away without having to spend a lot of time putting information together once home. I am very glad I attended this course.

Excellent Course for Head/Neck Lymphedema

I was so impressed by the course I recently took through Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy for patients who have lymphedema from head/neck cancers. It was extremely well prepared; awesome instructor (Brad Smith, MS, CCC-SLP, CLT) as well as a fantastic manual. Lots of hands on work to become familiar with techniques, etc. Brad made learning this area of lymphatic therapy easy, interesting and practical. Would highly recommend this course!

Great Course!

The course itself was fantastic and exciting. I hope I will get to use these skills in my private massage practice! The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that the certificate that was provided to me did not address all of the information required for my LMT licensure and NCBTMB Board Certification renewal submission, and I had to get back in touch with the company for additional information. I would have been happier with a certificate that addressed both of my licenses. This of course is a minor issue.

Education and Support Outstanding

I am very happy with the online and personal approach of the staff at Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy. They assisted through the preparation, hands on course participation and serve as a continued contact after the program is complete. This was not an easy program. With the support of staff and the wonderful connections made with other dedicate caregivers I rate this program as outstanding.
