Never again.

Had our flights cancelled in July 2020. We had booked them directly with Norwegian. Didn’t get notified about the cancellation but had to actually call Norwegian 2 days prior to our flight to ask what’s going on to find out. Applied for a refund immediately, took them two months to get it approved saying refund would be issued soon. Chases them for few months and finally they said it would be refunded within a month which was a complete lie as they went into this whole company restructuring scheme a week later so they clearly delayed things on purpose. It’s been now 9 months since our flight, months and months of no communication, no refund, no clarity on what we can expect and we’ve been just left guessing with false promises. Absolutely ridiculous behaviour and although I was a loyal customer before will not be booking with them EVER again as my trust is gone for good.

Wow this company has some balls

Wow this company has some balls, like many of the reviews I've read we were due to fly to New York in Aug 2020 with this airline, covid happened and my wife was given 2 options by them lose the £2149 or take cash points which she accepted 12 months on still no flights and the world suffering with from the pandemic, they offer to extend the Bloody points to 2022 we say no we want the money back please, this is not working for us. They give my wife the runaround. Finally I contact Nationwide credit card disputes and got the money refunded.
We took it and paid our council tax. As the credit card was in credit.
Norwegian airlines counters my claim saying everything was non refundable and that we cancelled hence they should be able to keep £2149 yes free money we should be at a loss when no service was rendered.
Absolutely shocked I've been speaking with nationwide who seem to think I should pay this debt for their errors. Consumers have no rights even when you play by the rules. We will never ever have any dealings with Norwegian airlines, I urge others to avoid them like a plague.

Stay away from them

Will never use this airline again, they cancelled their flights due to COVID which is completely understandable, and they make you take their cash points to rebook a flight later, but then they changed they will no longer fly to the USA where you originally booked and refuse to refund the money. You get told you have to use the cash points in Europe. To insult us even more, if you wish to fly from UK to a European destination such as Spain you have to fly to Norway first then change and fly to Spain. So booking a flight to USA they feel they are doing you a favour by allowing you to fly to Europe instead via Norway and refuse to refund and do not answer emails either. Have been waiting a month for a response to my email now. Stay away from them.

Still not repaid for cancelled flight-tickets

If I could give a zero I would! I booked plane-tickets for me and my family to go on our first ever family-holiday to Spain, last summer. Due to covid the flight was obviously cancelled but I've still not been refunded and it's exactly a year ago we booked and paid the tickets! We booked through Supersavertravel who've informed us we are in our right to be fully repaid and that they're "waiting for Norwegian to handle the repayment" but obviously Norwegian is stalling and thinking that we're going to let it go. I WON'T! After this review I'll start filling in the complaint to Förbrukerrådet. It's a lot of money for a family with young children! I'm SO dissapointed and my kids almost start crying every time anyone mentions "Spain" and they say "We haven't even gotten our money back. It's like they stole our money."
We will NEVER use Norwegian to book anything ever again.

Bandits

Took cashpoints last year as they requested us to do. Now they are not flying to USA refusing to refund my money saying we can use to fly to Europe instead. Avoid at all costs.

THEIVES AND SCAMMERS

If I could give 0 stars I would.

Norwegian are no better than common thieves - we were forced to accept cash points for 2 cancelled flights to the states, they provide you with a very nice spiel about how you will be helping them, and can rebook flights later blah blah blah .

They have now advised that cash points given are no longer redeemable and they have cancelled all flights to the US indefinitely. So they have stolen our £1000 paid. We are all struggling in this pandemic and Norwegian have just made that 10 x worse!!!

THEY ARE THEIVES AND SCAMMERS - AVOID AT ALL COSTS

They are keeping me on hold saying that the problem is with my bank. They have been finding excuses for not paying me. Their customer services stopped answering per email and there is no way to contact them. WORST COMPANY EVER, NEVER AGAIN.

Got vouchers for our flights, not the worst thing in the world but obviously would’ve preferred the cash. I can understand why they’ve done it, just hope we’ll actually be able to use them!

7 months and still waiting for refund!
Don’t even get told how long it will take. All you get is it’s being processed. Well come on!! Absolutely ridiculous now. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve made contact!

They didn’t refund my money, instead of my money they gave to me cash point to fly again, they are the most terrible company on earth🥵
What should I do with cash points due this pandemic 😷
I’ll never buy anything tickets from this company again....

FAKE ARROGANT DISGUSTING Customer Service, we can't refund your outbound flight as it was cancelled before, but we gave you a refund for the return flight as it was cancelled before, oh the irony!

Fake Arrogant Disgusting Disgraceful Customer service that owe me a full flight refund, where do I begin with the thieves, easily the worst airline in Europe even more than easyjet or ryanair which i've had issues in the past. The Crooks say we can't refund your outbound flight as it was cancelled before, but we gave you a refund for the return flight as it was cancelled before, both were booked on same ticket, they don't understand the word contradiction. I had to cancel due to Argentina Covid 19 Sudden Full Country Lockdown, how can i take a flight if i'm not allowed in the country anymore. I've been chasing this since March 2020 so been very patient considering the circumstances and apparently the refunds team don't have a phone number (convenient), even though the International Space Station/Antarctica Bases has a phone number, I mean we can still get a signal from Voyager 1. Also none of their leadership team CEO's etc.. responded to my emails, tell me why they get paid so much, imaginary work?, with such poor leadership it shows why the rest of the company is pathetic at providing service to customers. Both Flights were lowfare on the same ticket so the reason for giving me half a refund contradicts the reason your refusing the other half a refund. They also leave you on the phone for ages +30 mins to contact someone who doesn't exist so you give up and hang up the call. If you read this review do not book with them, pay a little extra for another airline, as if anything goes wrong they don't care in the slightest, they even tried passing the problem to another Airline JetSmart even though they have nothing to do with my booking lol

Norwegian and Despegar 👎🏻

I bought a flight by Norwegian EZE-LON-EZE in Oct 2019. With departure date 01/15/2020 and return on 04/07/2020. They canceled my flight because of the pandemic. They never gave me an alternative option and they left me stranded for 2 months in Europe until I could buy a flight through Lufthansa and return to my country. They never returned the ticket that I did not use. Despegar says it's Norwegian's fault and Norwegian says that the one who has to pay me back is Despegar. In the middle the customer without a solution. I will never use these companies again

Our flights were cancelled

Our flights were cancelled. After endless calls over months, asking for our money back (as destination country cannot be travelled to), we were told we would be receiving a refund. A 'refund' button on their website was clicked - but this was a trick. Because this refund form was filled in on their website, we now do not qualify for a refund! Still struggling to understand that concept. Norwegian Air have decided to simply keep our money...

Once a recommendation, now a warning.

So, I have flown NA several times, to and from the USA. I loved them. I mean, I really loved them. I recommended them to anyone that would listen. Nice new planes, excellent, clear pricing. I called them once at an airport and got a Human with no automated routing.

Then the Covid pandemic hit. I had to cancel my flights to USA for this year booked in January, flying in mid August.

To be concise. They have been beyond atrocious. Firstly, it was deliberately difficult to simply find the method of requesting a refund. Then, you couldn't submit until a few days before the dates you flew, which is stupid as it was very clear from March they were not flying to the USA at all this year. I had to wait 6 whole months before I could even submit my refund. Ridiculous.

I finally submitted my request, it has been weeks with zero communication apart from repeated requests to turn my refund into cashpoints for another USA flight. These emails have been sent from March non stop, despite the fact it is fairly likely they are not flying to USA until 2022! If I agree to convert my refund into points, I lose all my consumer rights.

Finally, today, I get an email saying they still hadn't got round to my refund as they have had to pull staff to other areas of the business. What? And because I had taken it up with me CC company (damn right) they will deal with them, not me.

That is fine. My CC company refunded me the day after my return flight would have landed. They know what you are trying to do. Hold onto everyone's money for as long as possible when you KNEW you were not going to be able to provide the service paid for. Disgraceful.

No longer a recommendation from me. I know other airlines have been just as bad but they could have handled it so much better and kept my loyalty.

It is shameful that if it wasn't for me CC company, I would still be out of pocket for several hundreds of pounds.

Norwegian changed my flight times after booking. But they allowed me to cancel my flights free of charge after doing so. I was relieved because the new times don't work for me!

Well done Norwegian

I understand that most people will be inclined to write a negative review during a bad experience, and not as inclined to write when receiving a good experience.

But, credit where credit is due. Norwegian have been fantastic for us on this occasion. I had booked flights to Spain in October. The outbound and inbound legs were booked separately (different booking references). Norwegian cancelled one of the legs. I called them and within 10 minutes I was connected to a helpful member of staff. She said she will process a refund for both legs very soon.

Within a week the full refund had been processed and I was very impressed, to say the least. Far better experience than what I had with BA in the past or Brussels Airlines (who are owned by one of the biggest groups in the world: Lufthansa). I am still waiting for my refund from Brussels Airlines - been almost 3 months!

Well done Norwegian, and if you are around, I look forward to booking with you again in the near future.
