If you got a few years out of the free version, we are guessing it was genuinely working for you, and that's the bit we are curious about. Did it help you land interviews or a job in that time? If yes, what is the value you would attribute to that help? We ask because if the answer is yes, and it helped you more than once over those years, a 1-star feels a bit unfair on a tool that actually did its job for you. Being frustrated about the free plan changing is completely fair, we just don't think it tells the full story of what the product did for you.
On the worry behind your review: we don't show ads and we don't sell your data, ever. Keeping it that way costs money, which is the real reason the free tier was updated.
In the meantime we just put out a fully free ATS checker and resume-to-job matcher you can use without any plan, and there's something bigger coming for the free side that I think will change how this feels.

Really Dissapointed in the Quality Drop
I have had my resume stored and made in NovoResume for quite a few years now. Unfortunately all the AI and subscription models have made it impossible for me to amend and redownload my resume as I have done several times in the past, so I will no longer be using this service as $21/month is not something I can afford as. new grad looking for a job.

I’ve tried several resume builders, and Novorésumé is by far the best. It’s very easy to use, the resumes look great, and they’re easy to read.
