Wow amazing staff for a four-star hotel!

Wow! I stayed for 5 nights in Bristol, Novotel and the staff were amazing! Especially Michael, Cedric, Serena, Sia, Gerry, Yahye and nice Thai lady named Nok! They all made my stay wonderful, I would like to make sure they are acknowledged as they deserve it! They have kind smiles and they always engage with you asking how you are every evening and every morning. I give them 5 stars because of their great customer service! I would like to appreciate and compliment them as they are not only doing their job but reaching out to customer with effort to engage and build a rapport! I know this as I have worked for international five-star companies for 11 years now! Thank you all for choosing kindness over and over in this tough world! Best wishes! Room #303, please let me know if you need more details, I hope they get recognition for this and hopefully promotion in the future! x

Breakfast let the side down!!

Stayed with work at the Novotel in London. The room was clean and the staff were polite. The only negative was the breakfast. It was cold and the bacon was so over cooked you could of broken teeth eating it.

Novotel Cambridge North

btw, I never write reviews, but this has to be written. I stayed in a twin room, 3 days, by the end of it I had pains in my neck, ribs, and lungs from the beds being SO bad. I know I only paid £90/night but it's a hotel, invest in your beds! I would not recommend this hotel chain to anyone. If you want pain, get a Novotel room. They should be paying me for how bad that experience was.

Save your money stay at a 2 or 3 star hotel.

Booked an executive suite to feel the “vip experience” as they say, but was quite the contrary. As an Accor member and employee, I was very disappointed. On arrival, my tv did not work, so I had to call the receptionist on the confusing phone book from the room but managed to get a call back after calling random numbers. After getting it to work I came to know there were no English channels apart from news, as well as an app setting on the remote which didn’t work. I then requested for some water, which I was told I had to travel down 7 floors to the bar just to get, which I assumed required payment. After that, I came to find there was a water machine on the 7th floor by myself, not from the staff, which was unhelpful. I continued with my trip and came back to the hotel one night requesting some English breakfast tea bags, which they told me they weren’t sure if they have, as well as some more milk pots which I was told to get from the bar (which requires payment) to which I said I only want the small ones provided in the room with the tea and coffee kit. The response I got was “Oh I know, I’ll try and send somebody up” and of course nobody came up. My room was cleaned when I was out, but my vanity kits were not replaced. The room was okay, I wouldn’t say luxury as there wasn’t much difference to the previous hotel I stayed in Paris last year which wasn’t luxury. Bathroom door didn’t lock which isn’t a big issue for me but could be for some and the ac was complicated to control which is never an issue for me. Overall, for the amount I paid, I wouldn’t recommend wasting your money for the so called “vip experience” as it did not feel this way. The location isn’t too bad, maybe 30 mins from the centre, but you can certainly stay closer to the centre for a similar price, if not less.

Totally rubbish with communication on…

Totally rubbish with communication on moving dates of bookings . If you book a date that you then have to change , just know they’ll drag the process till the actual initial date you picked is very close and then make up an excuse to tell you it’s not possible. In my case they took more than a week , after initially telling me they could move the dates for me . Very unprofessional. If you’re thinking of booking with them and your plans change, don’t bother , just know your money is gone .

Totally inflexible and appalling customer service.

Novotel Milano Malpensa Airport. Tried to cancel, or move a booking within a few hours of making it in error. They were totally inflexible and I had to pay the full amount. No communication at all other than a flat ‘declined’ to requests. As a regular traveller I certainly wouldn’t recommend and will avoid in the future.

Novotel Wembley has a contract with…

Novotel Wembley has a contract with other companies to book parking spaces. Take your money and give your spaces away. So when you turn up they just tell you to get a refund. No acknowledgement of inconvenience or if you do not find parking loss of the tickets to the event at Wembley. The so called Manager Johnny or Leonardo were dismissive. Could not care less. Pushing the problem to the civic centre. We were there before another couple they chose to give the last space to. I wonder why, I let you work that one out?! Disgusting behaviour as for ever staying at any of the hotels again UK or elsewhere will be a BIG FAT NO. Theft, greed for this company especially this particular Hotel - Wembley. Stay away!!

Awful Hotel - Novotel Paris 13 Porte d’Italie

Absolutely Awful – Never Staying Here Again

I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. The heat in the rooms is unbearable, and to make matters worse, there is no air conditioning. Once the building heats up (which it does quickly due to the poor ventilation and overly “good” insulation), the temperature becomes suffocating. It felt like sleeping in a sauna — except we didn’t get to sleep at all.

When we raised the issue with the staff, they were incredibly rude and dismissive. All we got was a rehearsed “we understand” with no actual help or solution offered. It’s clear they’re used to these complaints and have no intention of improving anything.

For a hotel carrying the Novotel brand, this was a huge disappointment. Save yourself the money and frustration — look elsewhere

Could be much better, with little effort.

Stayed at “Novotel Manchester West” last week, as a day-rental. There to photograph a client. I specifically requested a high floor room with good natural light, a comment I requested again with Check-in for room allocation. The day was warm, bright and very sunny. However, the room I was given was on the ground floor with a large tree outside the window that masked any view and most of the natural light. I had to switch the light on in the room, on one of the sunniest days of the year. I had been assured by the front desk that the natural light in this room was excellent. Other than the absence of light the room would have been perfect for my needs, being a good size and well appointed. The free water in a fridge and bath robes were an unexpected, pleasant, surprise. Pity about the light which was so essential. I shall probably try the hotel one more time as the day-use price and location are superb for my needs. General impressions of the hotel “Not bad, but could be much better with very little effort”.

A 2 star experience at a 5 star price at Novotel Perth. Near impossible to even drop people off at the hotel, let alone get parking. Waited 10 min at check in about parking to be told they had none available at partner carpark. On arrival, hallway was full of used room service dishes, on departure they were still there. Pool was unattended, no clean towels and used towels lying around everywhere. Dont stay here

Atrocious- Novotel Broad Street…

Atrocious- Novotel Broad Street Birmingham. I would describe this hotel as a pig with lipstick on. At first impression as you walk in the reception looks modern and smells lovely. Then the give you a cardboard key for your room and it’s an absolute sty

The rooms were last touched in about 1981 they are absolutely shocking. I am disabled and asked for an accessible room. Which they hadn’t booked and they said we can try and upgrade you to accessible WTAF why is it an upgrade to be disabled? Equality at its best.

We come to Birmingham monthly as we have a business here. I cannot express how bad the rooms are the sheets and quilt don’t fit the bed the TV is so old you have to have it on full blast just to hear it. The corridors and rooms are all a shocking brown colour it’s so dated they still have woodchip wall paper.

Hardly any sockets in the room and the WiFi is. None existent. 2 nights we’ve been here and it is by far the worst hotel in Birmingham.

This even makes the travel lodge look appealing. The staff are lovely but I think that’s because they are trying to compensate for putting you in a pigsty of a room.

Again I am disabled they gave me room 529 because it has rails in the bathroom. The shower is over the bath. But not at the end where normal showers are placed in the middle of the bath screwed to the wall. I wasn’t even able to shower myself because it was unsafe my husband has had to shower me. Dignity out of the windows and no F***s given in this hotel.

It’s over priced as the same as Leonardo across the road which even though the staff are terrible it’s streets ahead of this dump.

Breakfast is entertaining NO granola and they have put wheetabix and rices crispies in a jar to make them look more appealing.

We’ve paid almost £500 for a two night stay with breakfast and all we’ve had is 4 slices of toast and jam. The jam is like baby food it’s absolutely disgusting

We will never stay here again the room is rusty and dirty the travel lodge rooms are better.

Please please don’t waste your money here go else where or perhaps try the streets they are more up to date and comfortable

I WAS SCAMMED OF EXACTLY $365.00 BY THE…

NOVOTEL SCAMMED OUT OF $365 ON MY RECEIPT, BY THE MANAUS LOBBY ATM MACHINE THIS WEEK (READ MANY COMPLAINTS OVER THE YEARS). ITS IS SHAMEFUL THAT NOVOTEL HOSTS THIS ATM TO SCAM THEIR OWN GUESTS. $235 USD WORTH OF BRAZILIAN CURRENCY COST ME $600 USD, AND MY BANK CHARGES 0.00 INTERNATIONAL ATM FEES.. I AM EXCEPTIONALLY ANGRY YOU CONTINUE TO CHEAT YOUR OWN GUESTS BY PARTNERING WITH UNETHICAL PEOPLE TO TARGET THOSE WHO TRUST YOU. I AM DEDICATED TO LEAVE WARNINGS ON EVERY SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM POSSIBLE, UNTIL THIS NO LONGER BOTHERS ME. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THOSE ATM FEES, AS NO WORK WAS ACTUALLY PERFORMED BY ANYONE TO EARN OR STEAL $365.00 USD FROM OUR FAMILY. IT'S DIRTY, LOW, UNCONSCIONABLE AND IMMORAL BEHAVIOR, CAUSED BY UNBRIDLED GREED. IN MY COUNTRY, YOU COULD BE CRIMINALLY CHARGED FOR PREDATORY PRACTICES. OUR HALLWAY WAS FREQUENTLY USED AS A URINAL FOR LOCAL DRUNKARDS, BASED ON OTHER REVIEWS IT'SBEEN HAPPENING FIR YEARS! SOME ROOM HAD THE DOOR FRAME SMASHED IN BACKWARDS. I WOULD RATE THIS HOTEL ** AT BEST, DUE TO THE PUBLIC TOILET SMELL IN THE HALLWAY. THE MAINTENANCE STAFF LEFT THE HEAT, HUMIDITY AND MOSQUITOES INTO THE HALLWAY AT LEAST HOURLY, EXACERBATING THE PUBLIC URINAL STENCH. I WVEN WAITED TO SEE WHO KEPT DOING THIS. ITS CLEAR NOBODY CARES AND THE MANAGER MUST BE ASLEEP. MANY OLDER REVIEWS CITE THE SAME CONTINUING URINE PROBLEM, UNRESOLVED TO THIS DAY. ALL KEY CARDS MUST BE REPROGRAMMED DAILY. EVERY ROOM IN OUR GROUP AND ALL OTHER GUESTS HAD TO REPROGRAM THEIR KEY CARDS DAILY. THERE ARE LINES AT THE FRONT DESK BECAUSE ITS A CONTINUOUS, UNRESOLVED PROBLEM AND THE STAFF BLAMED EACH GUEST WHO DISCUSSED THE INSANITY OF SUCH ASSUMPTIONS WITH ONE ANOTHER. WHEN UNUSED CARDS WERE LEFT IN THE ROOM, THEY ALSO STOPPED WORKING EVERY DAY OF OF OUR STAY, AND THEY ATILL BLAMED THE GUESTS FOR THEIR OWN INCOMPETENT MANAGEMENT. UPON ARRIVAL, WE PLACED ALL IN-ROOM SNACK BAR ITEMS INTO THE CABINET TO AVOID BEING CHARGED, YET WE STILL WERE CHARGED FOR ITEMS! I ASSUME THEY SAW WRAPPERS OF OUR OWN PURCHASED ITEMS FROM ACROSS THE STREET AT THE FUEL STATION (500% CHEAPER). I WILL DELIVER THE SNACK BAR SCAM ITEMS TO THE FRONT DESK TO AVOID THIS, NEXT TIME. THE ROOMS ARW DESIGNED FOR 2 BEDS, BUT THEY CRAM IN ANOTHER BED, LEAVING NO FLOOR SPACE FOR SUITCASES. THE DRUNKARDS IN THE LOBBY FOLLOW AND GROPE GUESTS AND CHILDREN, THINKING STRANGERS ARE THEIR LONG LOST BEST FRIENDS, AND NO STAFF WOULD INTERVENE BECAUSE THERE IS NO SECURITY! WE HAD TO COVERTLY ENTER THE FACILITY TO AVOID THE DRUNKS (WHO SCREAM AT THE TV ALL NIGHT, AS IF SOMETHING REAL IS HAPPENING TO THEIR LIVES. THE NOISE MADE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO RELAX OR SLEEP, AWAKENING GUESTS AT 2AM). IT WAS A NUISANCE AND THE HOTEL APPEARS TO BE SOLELY FOCUSED ON ALCOHOL AND SCAMS (THE FIRST THING YOU SEE UPON ENTRY IS A BAR). BECAUSE OF THE DRUNK MEN AND BAR, IT IS NOT FAMILY-FRIENDLY, OR SAFE. THERE IS NO SECURITY TO EVICT OR CORRECT THE DRUNKS. I DONT PLAN TO STOP URGENTLY WARNING PEOPLE OF YOUR SCAM ATM MACHINE FOR MANY YEARS. I AM SO ANGRY NOVOTEL SCAMMED ME THIS WAY, REGARDLESS WHO OWNS THE MACHINE, ITS YOUR LOBBY AND PRIOR GUESTS ALSO COMPLAINED OF BEING SCAMMED! I COULD FIND 2 YEARS OF THESE IDENTICAL, ONGOING PROBLEMS. NOVOTEL NEEDS AN ADEPT NEW MANAGER. NOVOTEL MANAUS IS POORLY MANAGED SCAM CHAOS. IT'S PHYSICALLY AND FINACNIALLY UNSAFE FOR FAMILIES. CHILDREN WERE PLAYING AMIDST INTOXICATED, STUMBLING PEOPLE INSIDE THE DRINKING AREAS. AGAIN, I PLAN TO NEVER STOP SHARING ABOUT THE ATM SCAM NOVOTEL HOSTS IN THE LOBBY, FACILITATING SOME GODLESS, GREEDY SOUL TO TARGET NOVOTEL GUESTS. MANAUS NOVOTEL BEHAVIOR AND PRACTICES ARE INEXCUSABLE, ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD. THE SCAM SNACK BAR ALSO CONCEALS ALL KNOWLEDGE OF PRICES, (SO NOBODY WILL DISCOVER THEY'RE PAYING 500% MORE THAN LOCAL PRICES). WE WERE HIT WITH $62.00 USD, HAVING EATEN NOTHING FROM NOVOTEL IN OUR ROOM, BECAUSE IT REMAINED IN THE CABINET THE DURATION OF OUR STAY! OUR OTHER ROOM CONSUMED 6 ITEMS, SO $62 IS REASONABLE? I AM LIVID AT THE DESPICABLE, UNCINSCIONABLE BEHAVIOR OF MANAUS NOVOTEL. PLEASE SHARE WITH ALL WHO PLAN TO VISIT THESE HOTELS. IT CAN EASILY RUIN YOUR ENTIRE STAY AND DRAIN YOUR BANK ACCOUNT FOR NOTHING.

Novotel Stansted

Novotel Stansted. Wow, such a splendid experience! We stayed overnight 10th June 2025 and used the car ‘stay over’ for 4 days.
Every interaction with the staff was first class . Oumaima at reception, the catering manager was absolutely first class and the food enjoyable.
The room was comfortable and extra efforts throughout. (Bernardo in finding a good car parking place and helping with subsequent need to have keys available to garage for car collection- excellent).
Sara as ‘captain’ had energy and that ‘extra step’ attitude to help make everything a treat !! Well done team.
