Now TV is woeful compared to other streaming services

I dipped my toe back in with Now TV after receiving an offer. There is nothing wrong with the content however, the delivery is poor. Who watches SD with 2 channel audio these days?
Compared to Netflix, Apple TV and Prime who all have HD and Dolby surround as standard, with Now TV you need to pay an extra £5 a month for HD and 5.1 surround- crazy!
The user interface for Now TV is very clunky and not user friendly.
NTV need to get their act together if they want to seriously compete with other services. My advice - Avoid!

Atrocious customer service

I opened an account with NOW TV many years ago, used it for a few months and it's been lying dormant ever since. A few weeks ago, I was checking my credit card statement and noticed a monthly charge from NOW TV dating back to July 2021. I immediately contacted Customer Services to ask for an explanation as I had neither requested or used the service. They said they could not verify either statement but offered me a partial refund which I declined as I'm due a full refund (and an explanation). As Customer Services could not investigate further, I accepted their offer to escalate to the Executive Complaints team. Despite sending chaser emails, I've not been contacted by the Executive Complaints team.

Absolutely dreadful - set up account paid via PayPal . It did t when abs it said I didn’t gave an account set up , spoke to online adviser who told me no account registered to the email I have used , cancelled the whole thing via PayPal - never using again

Absolutely useless

Absolutely useless. They advertise broadband package then when I try to contact them they say they can't find my post code. They are using a faulty post code finder but tell them about it and they done want to know. They don't deserve any business.

NOW find another monthly payment service

Customer service is a joke.

Someone’s made an account using a foreign email address ; back in 2019.
Since 2019 NOW TV have taken over 70 payments, totalling nearly £1000 for a service I’ve never used.

They can’t “give me access” to the accounts I’m paying for as I’m not the one that made the accounts and I don’t have the email they want.

They offered 3 months refund to something that has been paid sometimes 6 times a month; for the same thing.

Crooks. Avoid at all costs.

Terrible!!

Terrible! I wanted to watch the Masters Golf at my computer while at work, I 'imagined' it would just stream it within the site, like most (all) streaming sites do. No, NOW have decided that they want you to download an app to watch anything, I imagine this is to stop it then getting streamed live onto the web for free on dodgy Russian sites.

The app doesn't work, I doubt the dev team at NOW know what they're doing and can't be bothered fixing issues. I've been through 10 different threads on the NOW forums and no one can fix the issue that's been going on for years.

I can stream it to my TV at home but I paid to watch it on my PC at work, NOW never said anything about streaming or installing an app!

Save your money don't bother with NOW, as you can see from the reviews and their distinct lack of CS, there are no replys from NOW anywhere, they don't care, they are off spending your money!

NOW TV have taken out one authorised payment and three unauthorised payments in past two weeks

I took out accout with NOW TV last year - tried it for seven days and cancelled - wanted to see soething only on NOW TV (well actually have since found it on You Tube but was well hidden) and so signed up with NOW TV again - when the "activate NOW TV" sign came up on my TV I went to the NOW TV page looking for a phoe number and found the chat - checked with chat if i could hire NOW TV for a month and then cancell and then rehire again as ans when per month it suits - so OKed the activate and the money £9.99 was taken out of my account - fari do - but then NOW TV took out another £9.99 two weeks later and then again the next day and then another £5 - I have emailed them with no results so far and wouldn't yo inow you can phone NOW TV to talk about bb account and phone line but not about TV membership - so no I will not be "hiring" NOW TV for the month when family and friends come to stay
Have had to phone paypal to block this account

a month my 88 year old mother in law without phone

after a month my 88 year old mother in law is still without phone we get relay messages from my Niece who has to go around every day to see if shes ok
she is house bound and its her only way of communication she doesn't do mobile phone
total disgrace when we are back its the first thing we are doing is to change provider total lack of customer care and open reach is no better

Complete disregard for customers

I echo all the comments about Nowtv terrible customer service You get cut off midstream while halfway through an interminable process. This time I did get an email about this and an offer to help Two days later no response! The company insults its customers with its complete disregard for them.
My problem is that I have paid a subscription to Sports\ Entertainment packages and get told on my iPad I have to pay for them!
It is very telling that there has been no response from Nowtv to any of the stringent criticisms from many people. It would suggest the do not care about their customers

Absolutely Shocking

I was with Now broadband for almost two and a half years and it was great right up until two weeks ago. I was lucky to get at least 8 hours per day ,it started going off at 8 coming back on at 8 in the morning. Random times. As a lot of us now work from home,it was starting to become very stressful especially as my job involves vulnerable people that need help. Several calls to them and loss of hours with my job. Complete lies by their customer service team as I took advice from BT who I have now signed up with and I'm so glad I did. Now Broadband, you are shocking!

Don’t try to get involved with Now! They are the worst!
They told me, the activation is on 21st Feb, but nothing happened, no one contacted me, no email, no message, no phone call, no nothing.. I called them up, they said there was an issue, so I have to cancel it, and redo the whole process. Now that was ridiculous, but it got worse.. they said, the cancellation needs 24 hours. One week later it is still not cancelled, I called them up every single day, no one knows anything, no one can help, they just keep saying, another 24 hours, and another… I’m raging, as they can’t tell me what is causing the issue, and I have to chase them every single day……. Very bad customer service, they don’t know what they are doing… Save your nerves, and AVOID!

Now TV - Now Gone TV !!!

I get my telephone and broadband from Now TV (part of awful Sky). We had a problem and tried and tried to find a contact telephone number on its website. Tried to use "chat". Used Google only to find I would be charged if I used my mobile. Customer services operative wouldn't help - kept saying he was sales and not his concern. Leaving Now TV.
When will the telecoms industry and OFCOM realise millions of us are so pi**ed off with these unprofessional outfits........

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER

I should have broadband and a landline but have had no dial tone since three days. These incompetents have a website that would win a prize for maze design - it is completely circular, never gives an answer and does not allow you to e-mail them. It offers Chat, keeps you waiting and it is only when you go to close it that it says "There is no one to chat with" and tells you that unless you keep waiting, you lose your place in the queue. While waiting, I checked my broadband speed and it is 50% of what they guarantee. These incompetents are going to be sacked before the end of this week.

What the hell happened?

I used NOWTV a few years ago and back then it was fairly priced with no adverts and a lot of content was HD.

I paid more than Netflix and Amazon Prime for an entertainment package... That is when I noticed the issues.

Poor quality programmes, in standard definition despite paying more than other providers who have all HD content. Then, they throw in adverts on some shows? This never used to happen, 3 adverts in 20 minutes? Why are you putting adverts on some programmes and not others?

Basically, they added a Boost feature, so you have to pay £5 more for no adverts and HD content? That brings the total for entertainment package with boost to a costly £14.99 a month! Netflix raised it's monthly price to £9.99 and that is when I stopped going near it.

Does NOWTV realise who they are competing with? Standard definition? Nothing is in standard definition nowadays, most live channels are HD. Streaming services is where all the customers are, but NOWTV (aka Sky) are clueless, they have made the service worse which seems almost impossible given what I just said. We don't use streaming services for adverts, we pay for streaming because it doesn't have adverts.

Massive fail, can't wait until Sky and all it's subsidiaries go out of business, then leave the streaming to companies who know what they are doing.

Can't put zero star rating, took out entertainment package, cancelled after a couple of months, they decided i wanted BOOST, I never asked for it, and even after I cancelled they are still charging my account, I double checked the account was cancelled and yes it was. No customer service, can't complain anywhere, SKY FOR YOU!!

I like the comment of sod off doesn't know what he is talking about just read all the reviews which are mostly 1 star so he must be one of these false reviews because I have had nothing but problems.

Signed up on the 20th December 2021 for broadband and telephone deal but could not complete it because they were saying finish setting up your account but unable to do because they weren't sending the proper link to do this, their chat help is a joke so managed to find a telephone number on the internet and finally got through to an OP but said he could not help me as he did not have my account details and told me to go to chat and they would sort it which they could not as you are going through a robot instead of a live operative so gave up.

Cancelled it which they verified it had been cancelled but still charged me for delivery of the router which of course I did not have, they promised to refund the £5 but didn't so I have been trying to contact them for the refund but all they keep doing is stalling, it is now January 13th and still not refunded.

Kept saying they had no record of the £5 the took out of my bank account so asked me for a screenshot of my bank account (NO I DON'T THINK SO) my last but one email sent to them was the with an attachment with all the details regards account number and the amount they took from my account, the last email I received was asking for details again so obviously they did not open the attachment so sent another email which they have not replied to.

So unreliable, don't have a clue what they are doing which shows up in their list of reviews so avoid avoid avoid.
