My sister has mental health issues

My sister has mental health issues. Needs the Internet for video calls for support. Her Internet went down. Which means no TV no Internet. They have told her they can't sort it for 6 days. So she asked to cancel it so she can go with soneone else. They told her they would charge her a cancellation fee which she can't afford. What a disgusting way to treat customers with mental health problems definitely not recommend this company to anyone.

Worst streaming platform! Terrible

Honestly it's so bad. The only reason I signed up was because it had a series that I couldn't find elsewhere. It wasn't worth it.
It has ads even though its £10 a month. It let me watch a few episodes without ads to begin with also, so was kind of shocked when I had four during the next episode. I decided to pay for Boost because the ads were so annoying and repetitive, and they have the actual audacity to put minute long, non-skippable promos at the start of my episodes.
It didn't have subtitles for the show I was watching, which is highly annoying as I always use them.
You can't watch on the website, you have to download a NowTV watching app for your laptop/Mac. The app is super slow and didn't even work half of the time. The website logs me out every time which is also annoying.
The mobile app is even worse. You can guarantee every time you click on something to watch it just freezes and won't load, so you have to click off and back on. It constantly freezes, but continues to play, so you can't pause or anything. You have to complete close the app and go back on to use it. And sometimes it'll carry on playing even after being closed.
If you stop watching in the middle of an episode, you'll go back on to resume playing and it'll be 15 minutes or so earlier than where you stopped watching.
I cancelled my subscription last night as I would of been charged for another month today, and I only had a couple of episodes left of my show. It said I can continue streaming up to 15/10/22, as this is when it ended, to my surprise it would not let me use my account, even though that was the last day which that I should of been able to use it.
All around an AWFUL service and totally not user friendly. Don't waste your money!

A Mix Experience

Having been with NOW TV for nearly a year I have been impressed with their service and value. Two weeks ago my phone and broadband stopped working. I reported this and for the next ten days, though NOW TV stayed in touch, the service did not improve. In essence I was without phone and had only intermittent broadband during that time. The issue was sorted by BT OpenReach and it was down to a loose cable to the house. While the engineer was helpful and professional, there was damage to the property during the repair. This was not reported to me even though some rudimentary effort at repair had clearly been made by the team. This was not professional - I should have been informed. I am disappointed with this, as well as the ten day wait for resolution. I had been impressed by NOW TV but this experience has left me feeling let down.

Ads despite high price

Despite being a paid service, they force you to watch ads. One show I started watching had 2 ads to start, and 3 throughout - all unskippable. This is unacceptable for a service which we pay for... have cancelled straight away. Plenty of other streaming services to fill the gap!

Customer service is a joke

Customer service is a joke. They took my payment from an old card from an old bank account, which I no longer use, even though I had set up new card details on their site. Went through the chat thing and the person was completely useless, kept saying yes we’ve taken the payment but not acknowledging they had used an unauthorised card. Got an email complaint going and even when I sent them a screenshot of the payment they still refused to believe it! Even though it clearly showed NowTV and the card number. Now they have emailed me to say my next payment is overdue and if I don’t pay in 30 days they will cut off my broadband. They have all my card details set up on their site but just aren’t using them. Phoned this morning and got cut off twice, didn’t even get the chance to speak to a real person. Will be ditching this shower of useless whatnots asap.

Do NOT use NOW - Worst Broadband provider ever!

Cannot express how useless NOWBroadband has been during the whole process of trying to install internet into my flat.
I have been patronised, lied to, ignored and generally treated appallingly every step of the way.
Even now I have escalated a complaint formally and it has been 16 days without a callback, despite my chasing them several times and being told it would only be 72 hours.
Dont go witht hem, they are the worst.

Fraud

Created an order with them, they can only install broadband for me after 1.5 month. Cancelled the order in one day.

3 calls, 15 days later, they just would not return the installation charge.

Boost This

So you sign up to a deal only to find they've reduced the number of watchable devices to 1! One at a time! Absolute swizz. Add Boost for extra device. In other words Add More Money. I signed up to a deal that changed half way through. Greed is unhealthy. Nowtv is greedy. You can draw your own conclusions. Am I less likely to recommend Nowtv? Well you can answer that.

The reason I have cancelled both my Entertainment AND Cinema membership is that I had decided that if Entertainment didn't have movie access then it was pointless carrying on with it.
Now I was about to cancel a few weeks back and then you offered me it for £4.00 pm for SIX MONTHS, I check back today and you are charging me the FULL price of £9.99 pm again when I had not even gone past the six months.

HOW DARE you be dishonest with me, how dare you. So because of this, I have cancelled BOTH of them as I am disgusted with that sort of service. If it wasn't for the fact that I am a huge fan of F1 I would have cancelled that also.

Plus, as I pay for a yearly Amazon Prime and that gives me access to film's there is no need to pay for three services when I have Prime.

I honestly cannot believe you did this and in fact, I may just put this on social media and trust pilot also...

Don't ever do that to me again or you will have a legal case against you, NowTV

technical issues

have been with now for a number of years but now having a problem with one particular chanell not streaming some content spent 45 miniutes chatting to someone online and got no where now trying to speek to someone again and i keep getting be with you in a jiffy im fed up the tech help is poor to say the least the issue only happens on roku box but is ok on laptop im just about to give up and cancell if they cant fix thi issue

I consider that Sybil’s opinion of O’Riley the builder, completely reflects this abysmal company. Sadly, the old saying of ‘you get what you pay for’ is so fitting. Absolute Joke!!

Only went with NOW TV for my broadband as when I made the purchase, they said they could have me up and running on the 4th July. I then got an email saying there was a delay and I would be updated on the 5th.

So on the 5th, they email me saying my broadband will go live on the 18th!! I work for the NHS and am required to work from home multiple days a week due to capacity issues in the office. Phoned them and the customer service team said they would pass this to the provisioning team, who would get back to me within 72 hours.

Of course I then got an email saying they had spoken to the provisioning team and there was nothing they could do.

I then enquired as to why there was such a delay, and what needed doing that couldn't be done until the 18th (as they hadn't said that an engineer would need to be sent out). I then get THE most ridiculous excuse in response:

"As far as I know, there is an administration policy that once the customer purchase a package with us, there always a 2 weeks wait time for the services to go live."

Well if there was a policy against it, why claim it would go live on the 4th in the first place, if you knew it wouldn't be possible until the 18th! Not buying it AT ALL.

As soon as my contract is up I will be steering way clear of NOW TV, and I would suggest you do the same.

Leave well alone

Leave well alone. The router that was supplied is totally inadequate for the application. I had to carry out an adjustment to separate the output signalsfrequencies to obtain Netflix etc. on my samsung smart TV. This should have been done before despatch. The range for mobile phones wifi was still abysmal. I was told that this was the only model available. Another one was sent but wouldn't authenticate. I finally went back to EE who gave me £50 to cover my early termination fee of £22. I did not realise that this is a subsidiary belonging to SKY which consists of a bunch of inadequates but that's another story of woe!

Absolutely terrible customer service…

Absolutely terrible customer service cant take payments CC gets kicked out monthly cant change name on the account ............different excuse every time .......... dont bother their system is broken my name at there end my wifes name at our account on line...... wont take card details online....somethings wrong with the site...very dodgy....cant wait to jump ship.....

I have been loyal customer 2 years now they then decided to mess up my payments takeing it on the wrong day and blaming me for there mistakes rang customer service to sort it all he did was argue with me saying I wasn't who I said I was I have had no sleep working about the tex they sent yesterday I have had a stroke and the stress they are putting on me is enough to kill me but they do not care still not sorted for the love of god do not go with now tv or broadband you will regret it they are a nightmare and don't care about dissabled people at all verey rude entirely

Broadband / inept complaints team

My router blew up and it’s taken three nearly 4 weeks to resolve and they’ve closed my complaint without a care in the world!!

Inept staff that do not care about, listen to or communicate with their customers!

Bad Broadband is just the start with…

Bad Broadband is just the start with this company. When trying to leave despite being out of contract and contacting several times these nasty pieces of scum lock in your number preventing any switch to other broadband providers. The telephone number is required to be kept for medical reasons but these customer service nightmares have deliberately kept an open order on the line preventing a switch over to another provider. Despite delaying and calling them I’ll be without the number and broadband.

The worst I ever had

The worst I ever had. Measlieading, cheating, bad advisors on the phone or online. Charged me for cinema tv and for other I never subscribe for. When tried to speak with someone or fix the situation the chat for 3 times was disconnected ans on the phone no one could help as the online advisers the ones dealing with this type of situation. Seriously stay out of it. Will give you a huge headache. I lost £20 for what I havent even enjoyed. Its disgusting and disappointing. So please be aware and don't subscribe. Netflix preference 100%. Stay with the money because what's counts its your horrible attitude and the way you dealing with your customers....
