Love nudie jeans. Delivery has always been quick and colours and fit as expected. I have bought a few pairs over the years and the only place I buy jeans from!

'Free Repairs Forever'...not true

I bought my jeans at end of 2020. I had researched various 'sustainable' brands as I was really interested in moving away from fast fashion etc. Because of this Nudie Jeans caught my attention with their catchphrase of 'Free Repairs Forever'. For this I was willing to pay a little more and make the product last.

Come to 2022, finally wore a hole through my jeans. Checked put repair options online. No stores near me. No problem as they offer repair kits...out of stock. Ok. I contacted Nudie (who replied reasonably quickly) to ask what they would advise.

The solution they offered was to get the jeans repaired by a tailor and that I could have a voucher towards a new pair of jeans. I politely turned this down as I'm not interested in buying a new pair of jeans.

I then received an email making the same offer again but explaining in detail that they 'couldn't stand for the cost' of reimbursing me for any repairs and that at least with a voucher 'a new journey could start with a new pair.'

I wouldn't care if their entire brand wasn't built around the promise of 'free repairs forever'. But if they don't deliver on this, then they are no different to any other brand. Really, really disappointed with their response and their attitude.

I will not be buying from them again.

Quality/price ratio: very poor

Sorry to say that the quality/price ratio is pretty poor. Really wanted to like them, but I've had jeans that lasted longer from Matalan.

Also, took them for repair at a store in East London (offered for free), where the service was bizarrely poor. Two of the shop assistants stood around chatting for ages, so long that I assumed one was a customer, but they weren't. Then they served someone before me. When they finally greeted me, they seemed not to give a toss. Then they booked the jeans in for repair, which took them an infinity, took them out the back. Only THEN when I asked how long it would take, they told me 12 week. An absurd, laughable amount of time. But I really didn't want to interact with them anymore. Plus I went to buy some other, much more durable, jeans - so wouldn't miss them that much. Anyhow, they've now been in repair for 14 weeks, without so much as a reply to my (2) emails. Frankly I'd advise people to avoid them. Until I'm proven wrong, I'd describe them as rubbish.

I have been a long-time customer

I have been a long-time customer of Nudie jeans here in Sweden. Expensive but great looking and the promise of lifetime free repair was great... until I needed the service due to the poor material quality. When visiting the shop in Södermalm, Stockholm they also admitted that the pocket lining material quality was very poor. When I finally got them returned after a 7-week waiting time, the repairs were soo poorly made that the jeans (pockets) were broken in a few days. Again back to the shop and another 7-week wait. Got them returned glued (!) and stitched together, basically more or less destroyed as they really did not fit anymore.
I went to a professional tailor and he could not stop laughing when he saw the amateurish repairs and the poor material quality. He managed to save my favorite jeans (yeah I still love them as they now fit as supposed to). My recommendation is that if you really like your Nudie Jeans and need repair, don't go to the shop to get it done! If I buy a pair of Nudie Jeans I will buy them understanding that the material quality is undefined and that if I like my Jeans I will never have them repaired by their "repair service". /Gunnar

They just cancelled my order

They just cancelled my order without telling me and asked me to do the order again but the products are no longer available - thanks for nothing. They now expect me to monitor the site during a sale 24/7 to see when/if the products will be available again. Why don't you just reach out to me clarifying the order instead of cancelling it? I have to provide my phone number during the ordering process - what for if you don't call me if there's a problem?!

Used to be great, now sadly terrible

Having owned a number of pairs of Nudie selvedge jeans over the years I bought a new pair, online, recently. The sizing was completely off - nothing like the measurements on the web! Not remotely close; it was like they were two sizes smaller and had the wrong label on. The real let down though is the returns process. Shipped back to Sweden, which takes weeks, then the company drags its heels on issuing the refund, even after getting a clear notification from UPS that the return has been delivered. Shocking service then, on top of incompetent buying experience. This could be read as a rant, but is more like extreme disappointment. The repair ethos of Nudie was always great. The products were hard wearing, long lasting and sustainable. What clothing should be. But unfortunately the experience of buying is so bad now I won’t be back. What makes it doubly sad is this could all be remedied relatively easily. Just have returns shipped to the U.K. and refunds issued promptly. Telling me you don’t have the warehouse space here to service returns simply says you’re getting a lot of returns, which implies a bad product! Again, easy to fix - sort out the manufacturing.

Sustainable

My current nudie jeans I have had for a couple of years now and the quality was good but they did tear over the knees eventually. Went back and they repaired them quite fast, then they eventually broke in the crotch but they repaired that too for free no questions asked. Last time it did take 2 months to get them back but that was over summer and covid and it was free so really not in a position to complain about that. The fact that they actually fix the jeans that you break and they do it years after you bought them is incredible.. I hope they will be able to survive even with a business model like that.

2 out of 3 pairs of jeans I have bought have been faulty.

I bought a pair of jeans from the shop in Soho.
They were faulty so I took them back.Very twisted leg and longer than the stated length.
I took them back.Wierd and unfriendly vibe in store.3 people there they said I was mistaken.Maybe they didn't like me.
Spoke to customer services much back and forth.
Took them to another branch who said yes they were obviously faulty. They could exchange because I had to go back to original store where I bought them.
I though I don't want to go back to the Soho store so I asked recycle the twisted jeans and bought a new pair with 20 percent off.
The new pair are even more twisted.
2 put of the 3 last pairs of jeans I have bought in the last6 months have been faulty.
I have bought 20 to 30 pairs over the last 5 to 10 years and they have all been perfect.
Nudie have said twisted legs on jeans have been a problem. It must be a recent problem in my view.
I put a review on trust pilot and they replied saying get back in touch with customer services.
It looks and sounds go o90n trust pilot.
The reality is I tried this with no success.
It makes me think their replies on trust pilot and designed to look good but there is no reality or backup to what they say.
Faulty products and terrible customer services.

Empty promises

Great idea but only empty promises.
Had a jeans from Nudie which I really liked. The crotch went out - a bit early I might add even though I cycle in them.
Well, they offer free repairs for life. Great for me and the environment. So I thought. Walked I to the Berlin store and got my wake up call. No tailor here at present. Expect at least two months wait for a repair. But even under normal circumstances it’s at least 5 weeks.
The life time repair promise is pretty useless under such circumstances and clearly not much more than clever marketing. I will shop elsewhere in the future as I can get longer lasting garments for the price.

Hello Bernard!

Sorry to hear about this.

Due to the pandemic, we have had to cut down staff in some of our stores, we have also had to reduce the number of jeans we can receive per customer as we do not have the opportunity to handle the flow on the same scale as before. Of course, it's sad that you have to wait so long for a repair. It can take 2-4 weeks before a repair is complete and it is normal. Please contact customercare@nudiejeans.com and we will try to help you out with another and hopefully a quicker solution.

Have a great day and stay safe

Best Regards,

Hole worn (not a rip) in to inner thigh area

Hole worn in to inner thigh area in a year. Most expensive and the least durable jeans I have ever owned.....

Thier response - Jeans wear in that area! Never in my 50+ year existence have my jeans worn out in 12 months....

No more Nudie for me.

Hello

Jeans wear over time and will become thinner. Durability of course varies depending on how often and how you use your jeans. Common places are in the crotch and knees. Eventually there will be holes. This is of course something we help you with by offering free repairs. We value your opinion highly and of course we want you to be satisfied. Feel free to contact customercare@nudiejeans.com and we will try to help you with this.

Have a lovely day and stay safe!

Bad description awful refund timing.…

I ordered some jeans and the description was dreadful and weren't as described they were like denim legins, so I sent them back. This was in July its August and even though I have spoken to the customer service team twice I still haven't had a refund. Given you have to pay £7 to return its so disappointing that I'm not sure i would use them again, despite the fact the denim was great as was the colour (hence the 2 stars score).

Sad experience with a once great company🥲

I have 18 pairs of Nudie jeans in my wardrobe.I have probably bough 30 to 40 over the years.Never had a problem and was a big fan.People always ask me what jeans I wear.
It is with sadness to say I bought a pair the other day and one leg was twisted and tighter than the other and the sizing was all out of whack so they were far too long.
Took them back a week later. The vibe in the shop when I told them the problem was weird. Before they even looked at them they seemed doubtful of what I was saying.I put them on and they were clearly twisted and tighter round the bottom of my leg but they said they couldn’t see it.They measured them and said I was mistaken and I shouldn’t of bought them so long._They are 32/32 like every single pair I have ever worn.
I bought the same pair there and then and 32/32 and they fitted perfectly but they would not exchange them for faulty ill fitting ones.
I sent an email to their head office with clear pictures showing the obvious faults.Clear as day.
Why would I bother taking them back and writing an email if they were ok?
I wasn’t asking for my money back just a pair that were not faulty.
Obviously there quality control and customer services isn’t what you would expect anymore.
Sad 😞 but judging by the recent reviews the company is not what it used to be.
Also having other friends who have moved on to other brands.
It was great whilst it lasted.

Hello!

Sorry for your issue with the twisted leg and sizing and I'm sorry you find our treatment of your problem a bad experience.

Since the manufacture of jeans is to a large extent a manual process deviations can of course occur. We quality control our products both in production and in our warehouse to minimize these problems. But sometimes deviations are unfortunately missed.

Since your satisfaction with our product is important to us and we want you to be satisfied with the fit as well as the size i suggest that you mail to customercare@nudiejeans again and we will try to sort this out in the best possible way.

Have a lovely day and stay safe!

Bad quality and poor customer service

I’ve been a customer for more than four years and spend lots of money with Nudie. Jeans have great fit. Quality is not what it used to be and staff within the shops are rude and not very helpful (both in Covent Garden and Shoreditch I’m afraid)! Their underwear rips quite easily, same with the jeans. Company cannot keep up with the promise of a life time guarantee. Back log of more than 6 weeks to fix jeans and you won’t be able to leave more than one pair in one shop. The chap in the Shoreditch store suggested, I travel to another store to drop off the second pair. Price is absolutely not justified and customer service is very poor. Will have to find another denim jeans company.

Hey, Ermias Thank you for the feedback and sorry to hear about your experience here. We would like to hear more about this and hopefully regain your faith in the Nudie Jeans brand.
Regarding the repairs as we do get a-lot, we limit it to one pair at a time per customer just so all our customers can have access to the service.
Can you please get in contact with us at customercare@nudiejeans.com .
I look forward to hearing from you soon.

You're better off going elsewhere

I have been a long time customer of Nudie Jeans and I always found the fits/style of their denim to be perfect for me and my body shape. However, unfortunately it ends there as I found that over time customer service has slipped and they are no longer a brand I wish to spend my money on.

My most recent issue is that I purchased a pair of jeans online on the 16th of March, returned them due to sizing and I am still waiting for my refund as I write this. I received one update mentioning that the refund would happen within 10 working days of receipt but it also alluded to that it may take longer during times of sale and/or holidays which makes me think that Nudie no longer care about customers, only revenue.

I appreciate that small businesses may have fewer resources, staff, etc. compared to more scaled operations, but this is truly disappointing.

1. You need to wait at least 10 days. Or in my case 14 days. You will not get any confirmation or whatsoever that your items have been received nor will you get any update until you get your money back.
