I’ve been with this company for about 4 months, the problem I had was when I wanted to delete numbers. Raised a support ticket with Customer Services, they asked me to fill out a form, I did, but then you can’t send the form back. My only option is to cancel my account, which I did, but they still want to charge me and won’t close the account. It’s a shame it was working so well…..

A guy called Liam or something like that did an incredible service yesterday, guided me through the whole process and sorted things out perfectly, professional and friendly too.

I have used this company since 2021 and have never had any issues. There customer service is fast and very helpful which is a plus because you actually speak to a real person. This company has helped my business grow with the impression of local numbers. Outstanding pricing and options available. I would never think about going anywhere else. I have never had any uptime or connection issues either . Thank you Number People, keep up the amazing work and service !!!

There was the usual auto routing questions up front in the web chat, which is fair enough to save time for all concerned. I then had the rare option to chat with a person. The agent was responsive (no long wait times for the answer as they often deal with multiple chats at the same time), clear and concise answers and information, quick and easy set up, no hidden fees and no contract so easy to cancel. AND, only £5pm. It's a no-brainer!

Really excellent! Fast, friendly and professional. The easiest way of keeping your landline number active when switching to a wifi-only provider.
Highly recommended!

Delete your data after 6 months so you can’t access your account and want £10 to give a company an invoice. absolutely shocking.

Been utilising numberpeople.co.uk reliably for about 3 years across circa 30 phone numbers. Fees do quite add up some months but still provide value. Their services are a utility and I wouldn’t consider another provider.

Their systems work quite ok, but for some reason they've imposed a 50p/min price limits for the calls, so if the rate is higher, the call will just be denied, even if their rate calculator shows the call is possible, at a higher price. The customer service is not willing to help or do anything about it; they only concerned about closing tickets

Updating to FFTP meant losing my landline so ported my number in order to use it on VOIP. Once I had set up my Grandstream HT801 adaptor with a temporary number I was able to initiate the porting process with Number People. This went very smoothly with updates being give as the process progressed. The whole thing took about ten days and I can thoroughly recommend Number People to others who are looking to do the same thing.

First class service: professional, prompt and flexible. In a crowded market, the Number People really stood out. Although we've only experienced set up so far, we would unhesitatingly recommend them.

Porting process took less than 2 weeks.
Would have been shorter but I was on holiday when the porting authorisation needed signing.
Brad was brilliant helping with setup parameters for the Linksys PAP2T VoIP adaptor that I needed to replace the Vonage VoIP adaptor.
The whole process was extremely easy.

The number people made it exceptionally easy to port my number . I am with plusnet, they do not provide telephone service if you move to FTTP. I had tried the number people for a month before I ported my old land line number.
For me everything just works . The support when porting was excellent and they understood the possible issues in timing that could be involved. Everthing went smoothly with great comms.

This is literally my 2nd review and it is important to get some sort of attention to this matter.
We received an email from a manager in number people with a link to update our Business Details on their system online. When I checked the system, details were correct however I updated them again with a refresh and save button. Once done, I sent an email asking same manager if they have lost our data or if there has been any issue of data breach however she went on lecturing me about KYC and Ofcom regulations (which we deal with on daily basis). I understood the confusion initially as our website was down.
I tried to ask a chat agent about that particular manager and he advised that its a lady and a manager and wants to know whether we are genuine or not (that's how I knew she's a manager). I was absolutely amazed at the nonsense as I spoke with their agents over the phone almost 10 times on different occasions and they know very well who we are and how we work & what our Business does.
The whole response sounded fishy so I decided to chat again and ask for same manager incase if she wants to speak as I understood the confusion.
To my absolute dismay, she mentioned all discussions need to be via email and not chat or phone and she can't help me. This was absolutely shocking as I spoke with them more than few times and they were absolutely brilliant in providing support. I was shocked for few minutes and was amazed how I was spoken to & tone of email as if we have done some sort of offence by hosting clients with them. She promised to respond via email.
I spoke with my manager as it seemed that they have lost some email or data and are trying to get us to send it over for a cover-up. This was also shocking as I had in possession an email with all Director's details.
To avoid any professional negligence, an email was sent from Director with his passport and Bank statement.
When I went to chat, I requested to speak with same manager, she declined. It seemed to me that manager was pressurising the chat agent to close the chat so she did.
So in a nutshell, an office manager manager was asking for something which she should already have. which meant she has either lost the data or an email which was sent at the start of contract. On the top of that, instead of Apologising, she went on and asked us to send her an email from Director with his ID and proof of address, which we did.
This was Shocking for us and as a client of High Net Worth companies, I had to involve our Chief Operating Officer to check if the client data hosted by Number People could have been compromised. Not only it took an hour to check all data on those numbers but it also created a bit of Panic.
The Higher management and that particular female manager seemed to be quite difficult and obnoxious person to deal with.
I asked to speak with someone and a manager called and spoke with me for over 50 minutes advising me about KYC. I kept advising him about the tone of email and attitude of manager and if she can respond in clear manner then there wouldn't be any issue. We agreed that same manager would respond on Monday.
On Monday we received an email from same manager defending her negative tone of email and asking agreement between us and a client. By the time I was about to respond to an email, I received another email advising my account is suspended. Once again, it wa SHOCKING.
On the top of that, they reported this review as well.
Nothing was shared with us nor anything was advised as to why the account was termed as was suspended despite our Director sending his documents for second time. Only thing mentioned was i.e.
"After further investigation by our investigation team, we have made the decision to suspend your account.
Your account will be out of service and data may be shared by the relevant fraud prevention and law agencies"
I don't understand what made them do this and how they came to this conclusion. We have been their client for more than a year and a proper due diligence was carried out by them at the time of starting the contract (We have email evidence) hence they were aware of our Business model and how we work.
Now I am aware that someone will respond to this & have already complained to Trustpilot about this review. However this review will not be removed until I speak with the Director of the company mentioned in Companies House. WE NEED AN EXPLANATION AS TO WHAT EXACTLY HAPPENED AND HOW THINGS UNFOLDED as we lost our time and numbers which were hosted and we paid for.
WE ALSO DID NOT RECEIVE ANY REFUND FOR THE TOP-UPS WHICH WERE DONE ON THE ACCOUNT.
IF YOU ARE READING THIS, PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.

Staff were great at setup, I’ve been using this service for over a month now and it’s made my life a lot easier, everything’s so simple and easy to use!

Had full fibre with a landline that we rarely use, so £20+/m for the landline part just to have an ornament didn't suit. I was reluctant to give it up as we've had it 22 years, and with school aged children and elderly parent with medical issues really needed to hang on to the number.
Looked at virtual numbers and tried a few providers out as trials / proof of concept. Most are geared up for business usage and not domestic, but after a trial with a temporary number with Numberpeople we cherry-picked the options we really needed and decided to transfer the number in.
The transfer went smoothly after a slight issue at my old provider end (they tried to can my broadband at the same time - NOT Numberpeople's fault), I was kept informed every step of the way, by human.
I now have VOIP only with my landline number retained, picked up by app on two mobile phones. Saving me a small fortune and better if the olds call when I'm out.
Really happy with the transfer in, service has been superb. BT could learn a lot!
Now free to get a phone-free broadband deal.
In the interim, the user interface is easy enough to work around, most features we won't use as we're a small domestic customer, but seems really simple to add / remove / manage features across the platforrm, with a lot more ease that some of the others I trialled. Set up was simple, and when we transferred in Numberpeople retained all our settings for the incoming number that we had on the trail temporary number, which they happily removed at the same time.

Really useful service and easy to set up. Not completely mobile friendly but definitely still useable. Recommend for anyone setting up a business.

I needed a second phone number for work but needed the ability to receive the calls on my mobile phone, the process of setting up an account, getting a second number and being able to receive calls via it on my mobile took under 10 minutes, only been using the line for a few days but it's making my work flow easier already.
