Ease of accessing people and getting questions answered

Good efficient friendly service, everything made easy.

Customer service is good, and prices are fair, but on renewal I went with a cheaper option after getting new tariff offers from octopus.
Then octopus send an email with all the rates of my current tariff with them, to compare to the new provider, saying if it doesn’t beat these we’re cheaper.
Well the current tariff was slightly cheaper, but the new offers when it ran out weren’t!
Totally misleading, good job I checked and stuck with it, because the new deal is cheaper than their new offers.
On the phone they claimed this is because they don’t know which tariff you’ll choose. That’s untrue because their all more expensive anyway than current one. Very sneaky and will catch out unaware people who won’t do the maths

After reaching out during what has been one of the most difficult periods of my life, Josh C and the team treated me with such empathy, understanding and genuine care. They didn't just resolve my issue, they reminded me that there are still companies that truly put people first.

To my complete surprise, they even sent me a beautiful personalised card & flowers, they'd also sent a gift card and an electric blanket. It wasn't expected, but it meant more to me than I can put into words.

Acts of kindness like this can make a far bigger difference than people realise. At a time when I really needed something to make me smile, they did exactly that.

Contacting Octopus was very easy, call was answered in less than a minute. The customer service representative Molly was excellent. She explained everything very clearly about becoming a new customer. This included all the tariff charges, direct debit details, length of contract, how to access the app etc., the easiest switch I have ever done.

I spoke to Laura who handled my query with compassion and empathy towards my situation. She resolved my issue and made me feel reassured during this stressful time. Thank you so much, you are an asset to your company!

Kim was really quick to get back to me regarding my final meter readings during my recent house move. She was attentive and solved the issue very quickly. Excellent customer service.

I had to set up a new account to cover my new house whilst keeping my existing account open until we actually move, I thought this would be a minefield, but NO. The young lady I spoke to, unfortunately I didn't catch her name, was extremely pleasant and understood what I wanted added the new address to my existing account, assured me that she would organise the transfer from the existing supplier and amend all records accordingly. Couldn't believe it was so easy. Thank you
