What an absolute scam

What an absolute scam. Do not work with these thieves. My money is stuck in their account and they are ''not able'' to return it. Absolute scam

Very impressive support provided via phone

We had recently moved and had our account details updated in OFX. As a result OFX requested to upload some documents to support the change. However, the initial communication requesting these documents sent via email never reached us. And when we phoned trying to get clarification on what the status of our account was we have received an exceptional support provided by OFX rep Sinead Kelly located in Ireland. She walked us through the process, assisted with resolving the hiccup OFX system had with uploading documents process online and got us eventually successful in completing the process. She spent probably 45 mins with us on the phone, and during that time we never felt rushed or pressured by Sinead.
Very impressive support indeed!

My transfer is left sitting unfinished…

My transfer is left sitting unfinished for basically a week now. Multiple calls, someone tells me they still haven’t finalized my verification even though I sent all the documents last week. Really not happy so far. Will change this review if someone finally sends my money which is time sensitive

helpful and efficient service

I received helpful and efficient service from Amy. She took time to understand my situation and how best to resolve it. She recommended that I login again and reload the page to try to complete the order. Unfortunately the system was still blocking my transfer and we don’t know if my account info was updated.

Frustrating and confusing ”service”

There is an apparent disconnect between the middle office function and the customer support/service function - resulting in conflicting messages being sent from the two functions, one from middle office confirming that funds have successfully been received while the service function requesting evidence of transaction made and this within 15 min. Highly confusing and frustrating.

Excellent support

I had technical difficulty creating my account. Gerard Hayes was very patient and helpful, eventually resolving the problem. The difficulties were becoming increasingly frustrating, but he did not give up until the matter was resolved.

It was a very easy process as a whole

It was a very easy process as a whole. I was dealing with a customer service officer based in Ireland - Amy - and she was outstanding. Hands on, and seemed to take a genuine interest in ensuring I felt supported through the process. 5 stars!

Don't even try to open an account with…

Don't even try to open an account with them. I tried for 3 companies of mine to open an account that are doing normal activities and none of them can get an account because to much risk???? A little strange, so better open an account with wise or Paysera, at least they don't do so difficult and have low to no expenses. When you try to call the Ireland number, it is always not available.

…telephone transfers

I personally prefer to do transfers over the telephone the experience was no different from my last 3 years ago excellent quick concise detailed conversation then I transferred the cash to the OFX account and received the cash the following day a simple and painless experience

Bad expience

Well, I am very disappointed that the payment has been failed, because the counter bank in Panama refused this. The internal policy of the bank says they can't receive transfers from OFX. As institution first you have to be sure transfers are possible.

your compliance dept has requested I speak with a Mr Hayes, who supposedly is on the job 24 hours per day 7 days per week.I have caled OFX 5 times in the last week to speak with him and no one has even picked up the phone. Obviously mor help is required

SCAM

We ordered a transfer of 500 CZK to book a room in a lodgement of the Czech Republik and the receptor received 200 CZK. They work with intermediate third parties that charge abusive hidden fees. Definitely not recommended.

Unfortunately, this means there is always a potential for banking fees to apply due to intermediary and/or recipient bank fees. We communicate the potential of fees in the confirmation email that we provide once a transfer is booked. Internal banks do not advise us of the amount they charge, so we apologize we aren't able to provide these details.

This company has changed......badly

This company has changed......badly. I was a customer of OFX for the last 6 years. I would do irregular transfers back to Australia when the exchange rate was favorable or to pay bills when I needed to. A couple of days ago, they blocked my account when I tried to make a small transfer to pay my accountant $300. They requested to know how many transfers I would be making, value of each transfer, minimum and maximum transfer amounts, purpose of each transfer.
I told the rep that my transfer are irregular and will not be for consistent amounts. They proceeded to then state that they can no longer provide services. No problem.....I will continue to use Wise....a much better company to deal with.
