Most reviewers were somewhat happy with their experience overall. Many customers found the ordering process to be easy and appreciated the prompt and excellent customer service when they had queries or needed assistance. Several people were pleased with the products, describing them as beautiful, high-quality, and offering great value. Some also highlighted the unique designs and comfortable fit of the clothing. However, some people were dissatisfied with the quality of the products, citing issues like heavy pilling, visible untrimmed threads, sharp itchy labels, and seams coming loose after only a few wears. There were also complaints about items having a strong chemical smell, being poorly constructed with unfinished stitching, or having holes in the fabric. A few other people also felt that the customer service was poor, mentioning slow reply times, rude responses, and a lack of support, especially for international returns.

overpriced, bad quality and bad returns

So overpriced and bad quality! Tried to return items which got lost in the mail despite using the label they provided and me having proof of sending and everything. Refused to give me a refund. Honestly would never shop here anyway after seeing the quality but even less so now the customer service has been so bad and I’m out £200!

Been an Olive Menswesar Customer since…

Been an Olive Menswesar Customer since 2016:
Have previously loved their products, still have a black puffa jacket from 2016/17 going strong. Had some amazing woolen trousers, that were thick and lovely. They lasted a good 5 years before being worn, which is decent.

Anyway, whilst I still like the deisgns. I feel like this brand is completely over. The quality is unbelievably poor now, I've seen zips that half open by themselves in trousers (after several replacements, same issue, complete design failure!). I have seen pockets in nylon trousers designed so a phone for example, would fall out everytime you sit.

It is simply not what it once was, which is a shame. They must have started cutting costs after 2017/18 sometime? Very sad, I did love the brand.

Great designs, great quality

One of the most creative and inspirational indi brands. Great quality clothing that's well designed and made to last. The delivery and customer services experience is excellent. I'm surprised that some people here feel so anti, because my experience as a regular customer for some years now is one of the best of all the brands I buy from.

Olive Clothing has the worst…

Olive Clothing has the worst international customer service I have ever encountered. They violate the Consumer Rights Act by making you pay the return cost for faulty items. Furthermore when the topic is addressed they respond in an arrogant and rude manner knowing that you cannot do anything about this. The item literally fell apart right out of the package which is testimony to the crappy quality.

pretty pieces - a little pricy !

I've ordered from olive twice now, and my experience has been quite good ! I have two midi skirts and a dress, and I feel that they are relatively good quality. They're very beautiful. I haven't noticed any faults after wearing one skirt quite frequently. The skirts are quite thin, but I don't mind this as they're not too heavy to wear and they're lined.

It is definetly expensive. It's quite hard to find this style of clothing sometimes though, so I don't mind paying a bit extra.

I think one issue is their sizing. I'm a UK 4/6 and around average height, so their clothes do fit me okay if not quite loosely. The skirts and dress fit me perfectly on length. The very limited size range is something they need to improve as it's important to be inclusive to a range of sizes.

They always deliver quickly, items are dispatched fast which is great ! Overall, I do think it is worth trying if you like their pieces ! 💌

Sizing request!

Good menswear trousers but consistently out of sizes. Only ever have largest size in stock. Please stock more smaller sizes (28-30) !

Sent an item for repair and they refused to send it back to me!

Absolutely terrible service from Olive. I ordered a cardigan in the sale, upon receiving it I discovered the quality was quite bad- one of the pockets had a bad finish on the stitching and there were loose threads all over the garment. I was disappointed, as previously I'd had to get some trousers from Olive repaired too.

I emailed them requesting a repair or replacement, saying I couldn't accept the cardigan in that condition. I sent photos and a repair was agreed. A week later, I receive an automated email saying the cardigan had been returned and I was being refunded. I emailed Olive querying this, and received some really rude responses.

They replied saying "The pocket edging across all units of this style is the same, so with that noted an exchange was not set up on this occasion as we were aware this was an issue for you on the original garment." This was despite the fact that the pocket edging on the left pocket was different to the right pocket on my cardigan. But they didn't even tell me this before processing the return! I would have just got the cardigan repaired myself if I'd known they wouldn't repair it.

They invited me to re-buy the cardigan, but said that they wouldn't cover postage fees. I asked why they returned the cardigan despite me not requesting a return, and they said:

"In this ticket, we carried the following instruction from you:

'I really love this cardigan, but can’t accept it in this condition.'

On establishing that we could meet your expectations with either a repair or a replacement, we proceeded to issue a refund pursuant to your instructions."

Obviously this wasn't a return request, it didn't follow any of Olive's own return procedures, and they didn't give me the option to decide how I wanted to proceed, even though all they needed to do was send me an email.

I asked if they could waive the postage fee for me if I was to re-buy the cardigan, and they said:

"We've covered quite significant outbound and inbound postage costs for your account so far, having sent a total of 15 garments of which only one hasn't been party to a return. We wouldn't be able to add a further free shipping coupon in this case — the garment's already substantially in discount.

Apologies for any misunderstanding in this case — we felt your instructions were very clear."

I am disabled and need clothes to fit in a certain way- this, combined with their very inconsistent sizing is why I buy items from them which I then have to return, and should have absolutely no baring on the fact they returned the cardigan against my will. It very much seems that they knew I didn't request a return, but they processed one anyway because they didn't want to pay to send the cardigan back to me as a way to 'punish' me for my previous returns.

Absolutely shocking service. And when I replied to their email asking how to make a complaint about the service I received, they simply didn't reply!

Terrible Quality at a Big Price

Have been following Olive Clothing for years and always obsessed about their clothing. I finally ordered a linen blend dress which was on sale for 55 euros and I received what resembles a bed sheet. The quality is awful. It's hard to believe there's any linen in this dress at all? It's pretty shocking to think they would charge so much money for something of this quality - and I got the dress on sale!? Very disappointed.

Not the best quality

I bought a pair of £60 cords- the most I’ve ever spent on clothing because I just got my first full time job after graduating and wanted to treat myself. I like them, although I wouldn’t say the fit is exactly like in the pictures. The worst thing is that, although I’ve only wore them a handful of times, the crotch area is completely worn down. Just don’t seem any better quality than trousers I could have bought for half the price from new look… oh well!

Worst customer service ever

Worst customer service ever
I was charged in dollars and immediately emailed them to void my order (as they dont have a contact number!!!) and it took them more than 6 hours to see my email and apparently my order was dispatched so they couldn't void my orders! Something smells fishy here and definitely this guys are trying to steal your money. The only solution they've given me is to return the products once I receive them! I mean thanks a lot!

No extension to returns when isolating and average quality clothes

Recently placed an order which arrived on Friday. On Sunday afternoon I was confirmed to have covid. I emailed on Tuesday requesting an extended 14 day window to return the items as I’m now isolating. I was told the solution is to print the return label and request a collection from home. I find this incredibly irresponsible that a company is suggesting this.
It’s also beside the point as I do not have access to a printer in my home to print the return label (I usually use the shop across the road but as I’m isolating can’t do this). Still awaiting a response. To be honest I find the quality of clothes really hit and miss for the price and the returns process at the best of times to be very clunky but have given them a few chances. Coupled with this response I think I’ll give them a miss from now on.

A very positive experience

The package arrived on time. I ordered 1 pair of cuffed joggers in the black colourway and they look exactly as they did on the website. The material is comfortable and warm, also the measurements on the site were accurate. Will order again!

Shoddy goods and even worse customer service

After admiring a dress on Olive's website, I ordered it, and was sad to find that instead of being flannel (as described) it was a thin cotton gauze. It pulled within minutes -- literally the moment I pulled it over my head. When I wrote to ask if they could replace the dress, they wrote a tart note back saying that the fault with the dress was my own, but I'd be welcome to purchase a second at 50% off. (So I'd end up with . . . one dress at 150% the cost of retail? No, thank you.) I thought, well, I should have listened to the TrustPilot reviews (which I'd read before ordering) -- but the dress was pretty, so I wore it a couple of times. Then I washed it. The instructions say you can wash it warm, but to be safe, I washed it cold and gentle, then went to hang it up on the line. When it came out of the machine, the bodice had pulled away from skirt in the wash -- a big wide rip! I wrote to them to ask if at this point I could return it, and received and *even saltier* no from them. It's the law in the UK that they have to accept return of shoddy goods, and that they have to pay for the cost of returning them; but they don't care one little bit. I'm disputing the charge with my credit card company, but it would have been so much easier if they'd just accepted a return and not also been rude. I often distrust reviews on sites like this one because I think, "Oh, who knows, maybe that person was having a bad day and something rubbed them the wrong way;" but I know I'm a reasonable person, and even was having a good day until I got a super rude (and also I think sort of illegal by UK retail law?) email back from this terrible, low-class company. Why are the prices so low? Because the manufacturing, as far as I can tell, is of very poor quality; and if you try to speak with them about that, you'll get sassed and insulted. I can't even call what they offer "customer service" because it's considerably more like customer abuse. I advise you to save your money and spend it at Toast, where the styles are similar, about twice as expensive, and of infinitely higher quality.

I placed a £287 order

I placed a £287 order. They used a service which means Royal Mail can leave at your doorstep. So the package was stolen and they refused to help despite multiple orders. Absolutely disgraceful. filing a complaint with trading standards and my solicitor to make sure others don't suffer this and won't let it go. they wrote to me and said they've closed the case and cant help, they were very unhelpful and very rude. I would advise you not to place big orders incase the same happens to you YOU ARE NOT PROTECTED by any insurance!!!

Check carefully any of Olive products

I have bought 2 dresses from Olive, the first in May and the last one in July. The first dress I’ve worn quite a lot but it’s now falling to bits. Seams and buttonholes which began to fray are now very noticeable and loose threads appear every time I wear it. The second dress was purchased in July I bought for an occasion and it was about 4weeks before I wore it the first time the seams on one side began to unravel, loose threads everywhere, I wore it one further time and noticed that the seam had now become a hole, button holes fraying and hem just a mess of tangled threads. In a two month period the dress was unravelling on each occasion it was worn.
I contacted Olive clothing and in fairness they offered an “invisible repair” or a replacement but I no longer have any confidence in their products. I asked for a partial refund. I was entitled to a full refund because the garment was clearly faulty when sold, the dress was £69 plus postage, however I felt as I had worn the dress twice that was fair. They didn’t want to give me anything - in the end they gave me a paltry £34.50 no consultation, no negotiation in fact they blamed me for their poor quality item. In summary I’d say be very careful of this company, if you buy anything check over the quality thoroughly, check the seams and the stitching especially on the buttonholes and side seams.
Not a good experience I would never go near Olive clothing again.

Absolutely amazing customer service!

Absolutely amazing customer service!! They have always got back to me quickly with any questions I have
I lost a ribbon that is part of a dress I bought from Olive. I contacted them asking if they had any spare ribbon or material I could have as I was so gutted I lost mine. I didn’t expect them to say yes but they did and went out of their way to contact the factory find o it where some surplus material was and then post it to me. I am so grateful. And to top it off they didn’t ask for any money not even postage. Thank you so so much Olive. You have gone above and beyond and I am so graceful for that!!!
