Excellent product and great service, very happy

I’m rating this transaction and bike 4.5 -

I was impressed with the 2 day delivery and classic look/feel of the bike. Some of the components will require an upgrade, for example the break pads, however this is to be expected with a bike at this price. I may upgrade the tyres and inner tubes too. - this is to be expected with most bikes and owners should be willing to invest more in the upkeep and upgrades of their bikes.

The bike is light and nimble; more like my road bike than my previous single speed in that instance. I’ve only ridden it twice but so far, so good. The fixed gear ratio was pretty easy too, nice to cut through the mean streets of Ipswich without too much sweat!

If not already there as a resource, a simple youtube video to help with building the bike and adjusting breaks would be helpful to others.

Ordered late one Thursday evening - Urban Retro Bike arrived Saturday 10:56 am! All perfect. Surprise drinks bottle and cycle cover included. Son delighted. He got to work without having to use a taxi! Payback already started.

I’d suggest Oliver highlight the Presta valves and maybe sell a pump and or throw in an adaptor from Schrader valves to Presta - floor pump best as 90 ish psi is not easy with other pumps.
Sorry for being pushy after ordering but it was desperately needed by a young man to whom style is everything, everywhere and who wants it all at once! He’s very pleased.

I was informed that the bike I originally paid for was actually not available and asked to choose another. as soon as the bike arrived I realised that it was comprised of pretty cheap components and wouldn't be suitable for my daily commute. however I assembled the bike just to see if it would ride better than the component parts suggested. one quick ride confirmed my fears. this included two blow outs of the tyres. I then emailed customer service looking for a refund or to return the bike but was eventually informed that the returns policy is only valid as long as the bike hasn't been cycled! I have now replaced the rim tape on both wheels (the rim tape supplied with the bike was effectively tissue paper) and have put the bike up for sale for a fraction of the purchase price.

Overall is a good bike, you can reach a nice speed. Please note that the bike comes disassemble and if you don't know how to do it it's complicated.

The bike is very light and easy to ride and comes with rechargeable USB lights.

The material seems good but the quality of the painting is not the best.

I saw an advertisement on Instagram for sale water bottles, ordered them expecting 5 days delivery and they arrived the next day! Excellent customer service! And an added bonus was that they came with branded travel bags. Very happy customer 🙂

The quality of the bike I bought was below my expectations. A wheel was damaged and requires changing. It looks much better than it rides.
Also, I keep getting marketing emails for a bile that is not in stock.

Paid £25 for 24-48 hour delivery. Arrived roughly 1 week later.

Bike is alright but customer service is terrible.
No phone number to reach out, no response on the live chat and emails take 3+ days to respond, and not very helpful so you have to send follow ups and wait even more.
Had to go to a local bike shop to get my issues solved in the end cuz I didn’t get the assistance I needed from the team.

The bike arrived and once built i pumped up the tyres which were already fitted with inner tubes. The rear went flat immediately. I repaired the leak and found 2 further punctures on the same innertube which appeared to be spoke damage. total 3 punctures at new. Cost me a puncture repair kit and now a new innertube.

The customer service was fantastic. The chat option on the website was very responsive and helpful. Unfortunately, the build of the bicycle was not as easy-sailing than claimed. I had a faulty brake system which I needed to get serviced independently. That being said, Oliver reimbursed me for the work which was really appreciated.

I am 6ft 3 and my wife is 6ft. We bought the Urban-City 2.0 XL single speed bikes in yellow and white. Even though the size spec for the XL says 5ft11-6ft2 this doesnt fit me at all and doesnt fit my wife either. The return time is only 14 days which they expect you to build the bikes and return them within this timeframe. I contacted the company via email right at the end of the 14 day return period for help and they said both the XL bikes should be suitable for our heights (they are not) and that we are unable to accept the return because they took a few days to then respond taking it over the 14 day window. I received the bike on the 3rd of October and notified them on the 15th. This return window for building a bike is too short if you are a busy person, and even though I emailed them within the 14 days and legally they have to provide a refund if you notify them within the 14 days they have refused to do so. Plus if you are 6ft above don't waste your time.

Edit: Since the responses from the company here and via email. Company has refused to offer anything in terms of refund despite being within 14 day window as mentioned above and cited not returning bike within the next 14 days as the reason (I didn't return the bike here because they refused to offer the refund). Also lectured me about my review in private email. Whole thing has been handled terribly and honestly just wouldn't touch regardless.

Great bike great customer service fast response when text them. 24 hour delivery a bit of a let down but that's parcelforce. Got my bike 10 days after it was dispatched. Would have gave five stars if post hadn't let us both down. I will be buying again got my eyes on the yellow one. Thanks

My bikes look so much better hung up on the wall with the covers over them. Plus no chance of getting dirty marks off the tyres or chains.
