On the whole, a positive experience. Leila and Saffron in particular are both excellent. The book was received in the post yesterday and looks fantastic. The reason Leila is good is because she is o... See more

Olympia Publishers have been great to work with so far and are understanding of my needs. They have been helpful and explained things when I have not understood something and hope to work with them for future books.

My experience with Olympia Publishers has been a very inspiring and exceptional one. My first book will be launched soon, and I am well on my way towards the second. Olympia has provided me with efficient updates during every stage of the process. My feedback has also duly been thoughtfully acknowledged. I look forward to a continued working relationship with them.

My experience with Olympia publishers has been a cruise so far: they are patient and professional, listen to my needs and are more than willing to help in every stage of the publishing process. I can't know for sure how my book is going to sell as I am yet to experience the marketing stage with them, hence only 4 stars. Overall, I am very pleased with how things turned out and I can't wait to see my books printed and ready to be sold ! Thank you Olympia publishers for making a dream come true.

I can give my own experience.
I’m looking at the other lower rate reviews and they scare me.
But from my own experience I thought they were very efficient. They got back to me within the given timeframe. My co ordinator was very quick returning my emails. They acknowledged my decisions.
I was happy with my book cover. When I was impatient about hearing back from other departments they kept me informed and apologized.
They gave me updates on their progress.
Overall I had a good experience with Olympia Publishing.

If there is anything I would like to help people with their dreams it is to tell them not to use Olympia to publish their book. Olympia will deliver their promise on publishing your book, they will make a good design and they will do an alright job at corrections. But trust me, you will be so let down in the long run. They do not promote your book like they say they will and you are pretty much left on your own after the first month. The person in charge of your book will not even reply to most of your emails. Olympia will get your book available online and you will feel great when you see it available around the world in online stores but hear these words carefully, Olympia will not promote your book or get you on the radio or newspapers or anything they say. My book sold many copies in the month before release and I had many friends and family members call me months later saying they never even got their book but Olympia took the money. Olympia are not what they portray to be, they just have a very good set up to make you think that they're good.
You will earn more money and have more chance by publishing your book on Amazon KDP. Pay someone to check your book. Use AI to make your own book cover and never ever let Olympia anywhere near your book.
Chris Carroll. The authour of Death is not the end of us. Published last year by Olympia.
If you use Olympia after reading this, don't feel sorry for yourself when your dreams are shattered because I tried to warn you.

It was awful, they took my savings, took my book and yes produced a lovely product, of which I received 10 for free, for £2900, sent some leaflets and a poster and told to get on with it, completely blind, no one would help me, support me, or guide me, nine months later there was the pandemic and they dropped me because I couldn't promote my own book, because of lockdowns and lack of knowledge in social media, I was left to drown with this company as at the time I was very dependent on help, as I was an unpaid carer for my autistic daughter, it ruined my life, but I have noticed, some are successful and they will be those that have time and money.
It took me many years of trying to get my novels published. I tried self-publishing and that caused me to go bald. Honestly I was very nervous going back and forth with structure and revisions and cover designs but in the end, my first novel has been published and the number and quality of sales sites that are now carrying my book is WAY beyond what I ever expected.
I am thrilled with the opportunity they gave me to publish my first book (and second). They provided me with all the necessary guidance and support and allowed me to have a reasonable degree of control over the cover design. Throughout the publishing process, they went above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction as an author by providing invaluable revision recommendations and overall support. Their commitment to involving me in important decisions, like the cover design and edits, demonstrates their dedication to my success.
Absolutely Brilliant! When publishing my first book they gave me a grate opportunity and all the advice and help I needed as well as giving me a good amount of control over things like the cover design est.
3rd time dealing with this company, 1st time was excellent, 2nd was acceptable, 3rd was downright incompetent. We supplied the script and images but somehow Olympia still managed to add in various spelling and grammatical errors. We caught most of them but sadly one made it through to print, Olympia’s answer ‘well you signed it off.’
They dragged their heels at every corner, when we expressed concern about how long this book was taking they said they were still in the time frame as written in the contract, then they went over the time frame and only really started moving when we threatened involving a solicitor. I don’t know what has happened internally at this company, but it has gone down hill at an alarming rate.
My advice to anyone thinking of using Olympia Publishing - avoid, avoid, AVOID!
Avoid! I chose to publish my third book with Olympia after they did a good job with my first two. My children's books are a passion project and mean a lot to me and this time around they treated my story like trash. They broke the contract by exceeding the given time to complete the manuscript to publication, communication was near non-existent and they actually edited in mistakes! The final copy is not up to a satisfactory standard.
And I can already anticipate the ridiculous response from the editor, the "were sorry you feel this way ..." well its absolutely unacceptable. Thank you for taking what meant the world to mean and treating it (and me) like trash!
Olympia publishers are a rogue publisher. Their editing was non existent as was their flawed marketing strategy. Really I had to do all the work. Please do not use them. There are better publishers in abundance and its best to feel comfortable with one rather than to be seduced by their self styled, sweet as honey sounding attitude. Please don't get sucked in by this sweet as honey attitude. You are wasting your money. Most books hardly sell. I was lucky. I found a really good American publishers who treated me with respect and kindness. I ended up republishing all my works. Yes. I was lucky. Don't be fooled in particular by the commissioning editor James Houghton and the publishing coordinator Kristina Smith. So called kind words from the publisher and what they promise to do for you will not sell your books. My advice is to put all your effort into writing a good book and find a publisher who will deliver the goods!!!!!!!!!

They give absolute no one’s a chance to express themselves - with many thanks! (I’ll add a longer review because I read a really disparaging one). Like anything in life, you have to be patient with any projects you undertake in combination with other parties - my personal experience, having also done my research before investing and placing trust in Olympia was to go with the flow. I find them to be a truly authentic and energetic driving force behind the need for as diverse publication of books as possible. They don’t seem to be driven by profit, which myself I also wasn’t - so perhaps it’s this compatibility that compliments us both well. Marketing is a subject matter which most people find challenging to overcome, the pricing point of my book makes it easier for me to market and it even opened my eyes to how much household names add to profit margin their own publications. If people like me are interested in other people’s stories, they will find your book and read it if they want to. Part of the motivation to reach out and publish my own - which Olympia have done to their utmost capability I believe, as did I as someone who doesn’t particularly find writing that easy. Thanks again for enabling this new chapter to begin…
I want to share my exceptional experience with Olympia Publishers. The staff was closely in touch with me for every step and action item throughout the entire production and publicity and marketing processes. Their depth of experience was reflected in the editing, the cover design of the book, their responsive emails, their author hub, the guidance they provided, and in every milestone deliverable. Olympia has the critical relationships with Amazon and Barnes & Noble that gets your book out there on their websites and available to the public. They will contact bookstores, newspapers, book clubs, radio stations, newspapers, magazines, and libraries for book signings and interviews. Their publicity team also create social media and marketing materials, graphics for you and their social media profiles. Very impressive. I give Olympia Publishers the highest recommendation.
My experience with Olympia has been entirely positive, I have have just published my second book with them. I know they have experienced some staffing changes and my customer experience has always been helpful and professional. Over the years I have had experiences with bad and even scam publishers. My experience with Olympia is entirely a positive experience.

I would not characterize this publisher as a "scam", since they are forthright about being a "hybrid" model publisher when they can't offer a traditional publishing path. However, the web site isn't transparent as to how many books are picked up as traditional publishing projects and those that are published with the financial contribution of the author. This is what I carried away from my experience with Olympia: (1) I do not believe any serious or detailed effort was made to proofread my manuscript. I've seen and have had several typos pointed out to me in the published work. I had the manuscript proof-read twice by independent reviewers and they caught a few things, but some errors still remained. The final proof should be the responsibility of any publisher. (2) They, for whatever reason, insisted that the spelling within my manuscript be changed from US standard to British Standard, yet I am an American author. (3) The cover art had a small error and, although the proof showed the graphics centered, the final paperback print had the edges cut to set the lettering off-center -it looked less than professional quality. (4) When the e-book went out for publication on Amazon, the title was posted, but the book content was from another book altogether. My book is young adult, but the content listed was for adult readers and laced with profanity and sexual content. I had to write to Olympia to correct the matter and it just made me feel that they were just "mailing it in" when it came to production. Imagine if I had not caught the error early. What I might call a "scam" is their claim that they will market the work. All they did was to have the book sent off to the three online retailers they said they would and send me a 30 second video of the book cover graphic and part of the book blurb with some music for "my use." No effort was made to do any kind of advertisement or marketing. So, if you are looking to have that sort of service, you are better off self-publishing and exploring ways to promote your own work. I don't see a rosy future for such publishers in this new age of self-publishing services that can be used at either no up-front cost or at a fraction of what Olympia charged me - and at a fraction of the time to market (they took a year from contract signing to release). Save your money and go with self-publishing because you'll have to put in the same effort with the final product anyway. They are not a scam, just "less than" and amateurish.
I was able to get my children's picture book published by Olympia, via a hybrid contract, and based on my personal experience, I would consider Olympia publishing to be a total and complete scam. It's been over 2 years since my book has been published and I've yet to receive a single cent in royalties, and no matter how many times I try to contact anybody at all in the company, whether it be phone or email, no one will respond to me, and I've never been paid anything at all.
On top of that, I can tell you that my experience with Olympia, from the very first point of contact, to the date of this writing, has been nothing but appalling and I have only the worst things to say about the company. My recommendation is to avoid Olympia publishing completely.
It's been 3 weeks since I posted this, and I would like to provide an update. I have been paid my royalties since this negative review came out, but no one at any point reached out to me to discuss righting wrongs of any kind or even apologize. Everyone can see that Olympia responded to this review, and said they would reach out to me or I could even reach out to them and discuss something that could be done with marketing. Well, nobody will respond to me reaching out, and Olympia never did reach out to me. It was a dead end and a lie just like every other occurrence. I stand by what I said, 100%, about Olympia being a scam. They're only interested in your up front money, and that is it. They're quite possibly the worst publishing company out there.

No updates no contact nothing for filled in the contract and to top it off I’ve never received a penny despite making purchases myself to see if the figures would tally up. Stay away from the it’s a CON for all your hard work. If I could give them no stars I would… they took my my money and my work… only advertised it when I complained.. never sent me any marketing materials. Did a shoddy job on the blurb and synopsis which was a copy and paste a paragraph I wrote.
My sales are down even though I know for facts that purchases of specific numbers have been made on certain platforms it’s never shown. When asked to address it will be resolved but never is. 3 years of working with them worst thing I ever did.
