False reservation - money lost!

This day we arrived at our vacation address in Kroatië, after a long trip from Holland. Here we found out that they didn't expect us to come. We had booked in January for 2 weeks, payed some amount in forward and now happily had a print of our reservation to show. The owners didn't receive our money. So we were very confused. They also said not to work together with Only Appartments for 3 years. What was going on?

After calling with Only Appartments - many tries and automatically voice better to e-mail and later on eventually a Spanish person - they replied to me that my English was too bad to help us, that the reservation was cancelled, and that he could nothing do for us, stopped the call leaving us in despair. What about customer service????

The only conclusion is that it looks like criminal activities. We will try to get back our money and more if no accurate respons willl follow.
We explicitly want to warn everybody not to book via Only Appartments. Try other organisations.

Thankfully to the lovely owners and their help we enjoy a stay nearby. So our vacation really can begin!

Dont use this site!!!

I strongly urge you never to use this site, stick to well known ones like airbnb.
I made a reservation here for an apartment in nyc. The same day I saw that the apartment wasn't listed anymore. I contacted support and they told me that the reservation is confirmed and I have nothing to worry about. Sure enough, a week later I got an email from support saying that the owner has changed the price, and I can either pay the new price or cancel without a fee.....
I would have expected them to prevent a price change after a booking was made, no matter what. They offered no compensation, the support was slow, unkind and it was clear it was more important for them to protect the apartment owners than give basic service to end customers.
Will never use second class sites like this one again!

Apartment was very nice

Apartment was very nice. Very spacious and nicely furnished. Breakfast at the nearby hotel was very good. Nice quiet location in easy walking distance of public transport.

Good description of the apartement

It was very easy to find out what the booked apartement can offer.
Very good Pictures of the apartement and the surrounding. It gave me a good impression where in the city I'll stay.

Payment procedure

I appresiate the pre booking method and cash payment when arriving in the apartment.
I dislike full internet payment before I have seen the apartment.

Overly complicated

Overly complicated. Too many different requests, deal force etc. Difficult to sign as poor software with links that do not work. Should be a one stop experience

FIRST TIME USER

This is the first time i have used this service ... i have not yet stayed at the apartment i booked ... after emailing the owner/agent i received specific instructions where and when to pick up the keys to the property with a handy map and directions ... so far so good.
Heres hoping everything goes according to plan.
This is why i have given 4 stars ... if all goes well this will be a 5 star experiences

pas de suivi du traitement des mails expédier ( le seul moyen de contact avec only-apartements) impossible d'avoir confirmation de quoi que ce soit !

I really liked the fact that it wasn't …

I really liked the fact that it wasn't 'booking.com', or TripAdvisor etc..
The descriptions are generally good, photos clear.
One thing: I wanted an apartment with 2 bedrooms and 2 showers. The bedrooms were described well. The bathrooms: sometimes there was a 2 bathroom symbol but second bathroom is just a toilet. Other times, the description says 2 bathrooms, one tub and one shower, but the photos clearly show two showers (one being over bath). So that's not always clear.
Hopefully I'll be able to rate you highly after my trip in November.
