We have used Only Paws Pet insurance for over a year now for all of our cats, and are very satisfied with the service level and coverage. Whenever we raised a claim, we got prompt responses and the claims are processed quickly.

Excellent service. Completed the claim the day of the treatment and then the claim was approved 48 hours later. Easy and simple to complete all done online.

Coverage for 'veterinary fees' does not cover what usual policies do- read the small print. Paying what I would pay in other policies for premium insurance and it doesn't even cover take home medication...like ALL OTHER insurers do. None of this is immediately obvious that this is the case. Also my last claim has £30 deducted for a limit on 'lab fees'....so they don't even cover basic vet fees either. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I do not give out five stars lightly, however, not only did Only Paws respond to my claim in a way I never expected (I am usually quite cynical of insurance companies) they went above and beyond my expectations. Everything was just so easy in what was a really awful time for us. I honestly had to do hardly anything. I never once chased them. They were clear, quick to action and so lovely during the whole stressful time. We very sadly lost our lovely boy in the end and I was dreading telling them and having to ask to cancel my policy BUT from them working with my vet directly (who also commented we on how impressed they were) they found out about our cat passing and contacted me to say they were so sorry to hear the news and would be cancelling my policy and returning my most recent direct debit. My refund and the vets payments were all processed within days. If you need a reliable and stress free company to use for your loved ones I 100% recommend Only Paws. Thank you to all on the team.

Very easy process for claim payment. Gave full explanation of what was and was not included as part of the claim. Really pleased we took out the optional dental booster.

I have recently had to make a vet insurance claim for my pet with Only Paws The process to upload the invoices and make the claim was very easy and straightforward. Only Paws kept me informed all the way through the process as to what was happening and the final payment was very prompt.

I have never used an insurance company that shirks payment as consistently as these guys. They pay out about 5% of claims and fail to ever provide adequate evidence for the denial. When we had a dental procedure performed on our cat, which we paid extra for each month to be covered, they tried to deny our £1,000 claim leaving us in financial turmoil. When we tried to dispute the denial, their claims team seemed to have absolutely no idea what their own policy was, or maybe struggled to understand their own policy wording.

I ended up reporting them to the financial ombudsman who sided with us immediately as their policy was purposefully unclear so as to catch you out. They were ordered to pay the full claim back plus compensation - I'm just hoping they fixed the glaring errors in their policy wording so as to not catch more people out. We left them immediately and joined Waggel who have provided a great service so far.

Report them to the financial ombudsman when they inevitably try to deny large claims - it is worth it!!!

An insurance policy is only as good when it is needed.
Made a claim for my cat who was being sick.
Vet recommended a panel of blood tests at a cost of £250
Checked that the £250 would be covered by my policy. Got an email to confirm they would. Ultimately I was trying to ascertain what the issue was by having these blood tests done
My excess was £200 so I was claiming £50...
My claim was denied as they said him being sick was a PEC (Pre Existing Condition)
I had taken him to vets before because he was being sick but being sick is a symptom and not a condition.
Do your homework and check before taking a policy out with this lot
