Another easy as pie claim!
Unfortunately I had to make another claim from Only Paws as my cat had another flare up. Again, claiming was simplest and quickest process in the world. Paid out quickly and no excess this time so hurray!! Hope I don't need them again any time soon, but I know they'll be there for me if I do!!

Exceeded my expectations
I never expected to be writing a positive review for a pet insurance company but Only Paws has been faultless and have exceeded my expectations. Less than a fortnight since my claims and I have received full settlement. They even split my claims between the medicines and the treatment so that I got back more than I expected. The customer service was prompt, friendly and helpful. Based on my experience I highly recommend this company. Well done Only Paws!

Customer Service quick and very good
Customer Service was very good. Quick response for support. I need to make a claim as my cat is poorly and had questions around what may or may not be covered. Dawn was very understanding and helped me on the limits and what may not be covered. I hope when I make the claim that i get more or less what I expect.

Read the small print.
Like all insurance policies it is so important
to read the policy document. A daunting task as they are frequently several pages
long. My beloved 13 year old cat was diagnosed with congestive heart failure this year, his first illness. When I claimed for his treatment, medication was not covered. After a few months he had to be euthanised
Cremation was not covered as he was over 8years old. Read the small print.

‘Death of pet’ cover is for purchase price paid for your pet. If £0.00 is the amount submitted on a quote, this indicates that nothing was paid and therefore ‘Death of Pet’ benefit is not available.

After taking them to FOS - I won ! So, be prepared for a long journey but Ombudsman found their practices to be unfair in light of the consumer.

As per response given from Only Paws - it’s obvious to anyone that pre-existing isn’t covered. What is less obvious is that without a vet confirming that the symptoms and the medical condition match then YOU are simply guessing and denying claim. Even when given a vet’s opinion you revert to “well, that’s what our pen pushers say, still denied”. And the galling part? You can’t appeal a decision if you’ve already complained. What sort of Victorian standard is that? Do the decent thing, pay up or leave the industry if you don’t like paying out for proper claims.

Absolutely awful company. Do not recommend. Will take history to minutiae and then link things that shouldn't be e.g. a cat vomiting 1 month and again the next month - must be the same thing right ? Vet wrote to them and confirmed - doesn't matter Claim Denied. Of course, cats vomit all the time - but well done for trying to avoid the payment. Could not be any unhappier with their service and current at FOS to make a judgement on a claim of just £140 but avoiding any other costs should they arise.

Our assessors use all of the information provided by you and your vet to assess a claim. Unfortunately, it is common practice in the pet insurance industry not to cover pre-existing conditions.
We do have an appeal process which was not taken advantage of but we will await the FOS file request and are happy to share our findings with them in the hope that the best outcome is achieved.
