Beckton - Convenient but not the best Optical Clinic…
Convenient as not other optical clinic is close by the area but the staff is rather slow and rude staff (specially one of the receptionist lady).
Would not recommend it if you have better options.
ASDA OPTICIAN KILLINGBECK LEEDS
This is about my visit today to the Asda Optician at the Asda Superstore, Killingbeck, Leeds (opposite Seacroft Hospital).
Given the mixed reviews about various Asdao Opticians on Trustpilot, I was a little uncertain about using the Opticians at Asda Killingbeck. But given the extraordinary amount I have paid for replacement spectacles from Boots, other major high street chains, and my local town opticians I had no option but to give Asda a try since their pricing structure was so straightforward and their prices low compared to other opticians. And I am an old and knackered pensioner whose gain from the much-vaunted pension triple lock (4.5%) was totally blitzed by a loss of 2.5% in my take-home pension! Bravo RR - I'll remember your treatment of pensioners for the rest of my days!
Back to Asda: my visit today was excellent. The optician's team taking my medical history (as it affected my eye health) were very thorough and professional. But the optometerist's examination was easily the best ever examination - even as a former military pilot and my numerous eye examinations over 30 years service. The optometrist told me exactly what she was doing and why - pointing out her findings on the photos and scans on her computer screen. To cut a long story short, I require new lenses but, not yet, because she also demonstrated that the issues I have with blurred vision is caused by cataracts - which had never been explained to me by previous optometerists. Seemingly - the fact I had cataracts was of no significance Following a long discussion about the pros and cons of cataract surgery, I asked her (of my own accord and without being persuaded) to refer me for cataract surgery. Moreover, she did not offer new spectacles because, regardless of stronger lenses, my vision would always be blurred until my cataracts are removed - when I may even require a different prescription anyway!
I realise this is a lengthy report about my experiences of Asda Opticians. Nor is the story complete until i have new spectacles. But, today I was very well served by Asda. And, my son and his fiancee will follow in my footsteps to Killingbeck as and when they need to replace their spectacles and contacts.
Outstanding Customer Service
I would just like to leave a bit of feedback for your fantastic Havant Opticians and on this particular occasion Jo and Luke.
I have always received brilliant service and this time was no different.
I have recommended your opticians to so many people due to price but more importantly the wonderful service.
Well done Jo and Luke - customer service outstanding.
ASDA GREENHITHE - AVOID AVOID AVOID
The way customers are treated by this branch is nothing short of appalling. Having been a previous customer and ordering 3 new pair of glasses, when I went to collect them, I could not see properly out of any of them. I felt very intimidated by the staff who were obviously pressurising me to take them advising that “I may need to get used to them”. Total nonsense as I have been wearing varifocals for the past 10 years and these glasses only had a very slight prescription change to my previous ones, purchased from Asda. They optician then came out and put these glasses on me, pushing them so hard into my face that they squashed my eyelashes and hurt my eyes. She then produced the unit that they use to measure eyes during the test with lenses in and asked me to put them on. It made me feel physically sick and terrified as all of a sudden I couldn’t see anything. She actually seemed surprised by this which frightened me even more. They then offered me a retest for which I would have to wait three weeks. Following this horrendous experience, I went home absolutely terrified that my glaucoma had worsened and worried myself about this all weekend. I took it up with their head office and they are more than useless. Constantly saying it needs looking into and this will take wait one week, 4 weeks and now eight weeks or longer. Absolute P*** takers. Now taken up with General optical council. Avoid this branch.

Portrack Lane Stockton
PORTRACK LANE, Stockton on Tees,
Very friendly staff, welcoming, efficient, don’t wait long for the glasses to arrive and was no pressure to pay for any extras, went here after bad experience with Specsavers and will be going again, recommending to others.
Excellant - Telford branch
The optician at Telford branch was amazing. After going to another well known high street chain and spending so much money on glasses and contact lenses. I decided to give Asda a try. After my first visit she referred me to the NHS to have my cataracts removed. Within 3 months both had been removed. My eyesight is now better than it has been since I was 10. Excellent recommend to anyone.
Asda Opticians Shipley
I needed an annual eye test and I knew something was not right with my right eye. The optician Mr Khan did a thorough job and identified the problem which requires further specialist attention. But I decided I needed some new specs anyway and was interested to see if Mr Khan's efforts - which I can only describe as intense optical gymnastics - had improved my vision. I selected some Ray Ban frames for £170 including varifocal lenses and picked them up last week only a week after first ordering. The glasses look good and I was really pleased to see my right eye vision had improved enormously. So I'm really pleased with the all round care Asda Opticians have given me - they give the impression that they care and are not just trying to sell you expensive spectacles.
Poor service from the labs
I ordered 2 x pair of glasses from the opticians in Hartlepool after having an eye test. My script had changed a bit so keen to have new lenses.
The in-store staff are friendly and helpful but I've been chasing one of the ordered pairs for nearly a month and have had numerous explanations as to why it's delayed such as its due to the bank holiday and they where out of stock etc. I have been advised to ring back again on Monday when the lab is open at which point without success I will be offered my money back and will have to order replacements.
My advice is find a different optician that has its own labs as it just takes to long for them to fulfil your prescription.

Poor Customer Service
Went to Asda, first time I’ve ever needed glasses so I’m totally in their hands in terms of what to buy, guidance and pricing. Got my prescription and the staff just left me, no guidance on prices or nothing. Picked some frames and got glasses made. Only needed readers, Charged me £80. Unbeknown to me their glasses start at £15.Not one member of staff advised me of the options available to me. Spoke to them about it and they basically said tough your stuck with them

I have used asda opticians for a few years now but the last 2 years have been dreadful. I couldnt see properly to read from my varifocals and got fed up of taking them back for adjustment. I then asked for another eye test and was only given reading glasses!!!! I had to revert to my old glasses when i was in the car as i couldnt see the dashboard clearly!!! pay cheap you get what you pay for
So impressed by Asda Optician…
Really impressed by Asda Optician Sefton Park today. Made an appointment urgent eye review after experiencing poor sight in 1 eye.
I was seen on the day I rang. Dawn who answered phone and arranged appointment phoned me back when she said.
Kia did initial tests. Camera, the optometrist reviewed the results and then did more tests.
I was given result immediately and treatment suggested was specific eye drops. Advice also given on what to do if experience the problem again.
I will certainly return to use them again in the future. Genuine customer service and professionals providing advice. Thank you

I wouldn’t even give this 1 star…
I wouldn’t even give this 1 star…
Took my daughter for an eye test at Lower early Berkshire (she already had glasses from specsavers but couldn’t get an appointment) so went to Asda instead… absolutely awful service and awful staffs.
They told me my daughter’s eyes had got better and she didn’t need glasses anymore… considering her eyes were really bad…and she was complaining about her eyes, I didn’t believe this. I trusted my gut and waited for specsavers to have an appointment, took her there, surprise surprise her eyes had actually got worse! The whole eye test was nothing like specsavers eye test, and I knew Asda was going to be wrong. They kept us waiting 40 minutes past her test time before actually seeing to us, awful service and the staff were miserable and had an attitude. Lower early Asda opticians needs closing or new equipment and new staff too who actually care because this was appalling.
If you want an accurate eye test, avoid opticians in Asda lower early Berkshire!!
