Pretty grim actually. Got my prescription from Specsavers but didn't like the price of their frames...so hawked my prescription to George Asda opticians. Its been sorrowful. The Burnley staff don't se... See more

Brilliant
Had my eye test done the service I received was absolutely brilliant. The optical assistant a young man called Curtis could have been more helpful in helping me with the choice of frames and also explained the condition I have now been diagnosed with knew his stuff very polite and a credit to your Rotherham branch. The optician was very helpful and explained everything as well.
Great experience at Asda opticians Crewe …
At every stage I was treated brilliantly. The customer care, the professionalism and the price were pefect
Exceptional
Service from all was exceptional except 4 the attendant who incorrectly performed the peripheral l eye test. The glasses are perfect.
TERRIBLE service (Lower Earley Berkshire) to ESOL student collecting prescription glasses
TERRIBLE service (Lower Earley Berkshire) to ESOL student collecting prescription glasses. The staff serving us was very rude, handed him the glasses without asking or checking if they fit ok. When I asked him about the feel & fit with a few queries she looked at us annoyed like we were taking too much of her time. Then she tried to upsell us an additional product that wasn't discussed as required with the optician and was put out that we refused to purchase and she had to put it back on the shelf. I am absolutely disgusted with her behaviour and she should not be serving the pubic, or at least not children with her attitude. We will find another service provider for future needs!
I’ve dealt with smithdown asda…
I’ve dealt with smithdown asda opticians and honestly best staff very hard working , the manager louiza is very helpful and caring thanks 🙏🏽
Well done Asda
I have been using Asda Optician Langley Mill for years. Rarely have I had a problem. I had an emergency appointment yesterday and the ophthalmologist spent a really long time doing different tests to get to the bottom of my problem. He was just fabulous. All the staff are brilliant and always very courteous. I am always recommending them to friends and family No other optician can match their prices either. Well done Asda
All the reasons why Asda is a great Opticians.
I recently read that Asda was voted the best opticians so when my eye test was due I made an appointment with Asda Ferring superstore rather than my usual place Specsavers.
While I have never experienced any problems with Specsavers and they were more local I felt that I couldn’t really afford to spend another £500/£600 on replacement glasses.
I booked myself into Asda - easy to get an appt.
On arrival it was easy and free to park and there was no waiting time at all for my appointment to commence. The staff were friendly and professional
My appt was efficient and informative and I didn’t feel I was being “sold to”.
The single pricing on lenses, the good selection of frames and the simple only one type of varifocal made my decision making much less taxing - I usually procrastinate with too much choice and price variations. No hidden extras and only a short wait (less than 2 weeks) for my collection appt.
Fitting the glasses was also a breeze with adjustments made accordingly.
I would highly recommend this Asda, at the very least. If they’re all this good then I can see why they were voted the best. Plus, the pricing knocked roughly £200 off my usual outlay. Thumbs up for Asda.
Totally useless
I have just spent two hundred odd pound on vari focals including a pair of sunglasses from Asda cumbernauld that are absolutely useless to me...they got the the reading part of them practically upside down everything was blurry apart from the print they gave me to read, they where sent back to be fixed...I don't think they changed anything but I was losing the will to live at this point so said OK and left with them...one of the excuses was Asda uses different grade of lenses from what I was used too. I've worn bi focals & vari focals for
Over 30 years from various opticians without a problem... I waited seven weeks In all for specs that are useless, I will never use Asda opticians again.
Asda Eastbourne 5 stars! Thank you :)
Having been able to get a free eyetest at another main chain of opticians due to a voucher from work, I looked for other frames and was dismayed to find that the varifocals (with a pair of varifocal sunglasses as the second pair) at the standard I wanted were going to cost £430. These were not designer frames and I couldn't find a frame I liked
I had read reviews generally about Asda prices and decided to try there. I read the online reviews for Eastbourne and was discouraged but went anyway. The choice was far better than the other opticians and I found some frames I liked. I asked for a quote on the highest standard of varifocals, designer frames this time and the second pair of varifocal sunglasses. £249! No Brainer.
The assistant was very helpful and friendly and asked the dispensing optician for advice on one of my questions. He took time with me and explained my options clearly.
I received a text earlier than the 3 weeks they said it would be (less than 2 weeks) and picked them up. The assistant was also very helpful and friendly.
I cannot fault Asda Eastbourne Optician and give them a 5 star review for excellent prices, choice and customer service.
Thank you Asda Opticians Eastbourne!
I visited the North Hykeham Opticians…
I visited the North Hykeham Opticians today and have to say they are absolutely outstanding compared to a well known High Street branch.
Asda's staff were very personable and professional and I felt the optician did a through eye test.
Referred for cataract surgery as I can hardly see with my left eye. I am 50 and the previous company didn't seem to care about my sight.
I know where to go in future. Thank you Asda.
Very good Asda opticians
Asda opticians, Ferring, were very good in getting my new glasses and the frames needed, as the former frames from another optician broke.
Asda opticians - Roehampton- great service
Asda opticians - Roehampton. Friendly, professional, efficient and patient service from Jessica. I purchased my current pair of glasses last year and they needed a little adjusting. Popped by the store and Jessica dealt with my request. I have used this optician service for a few years and the choice and prices for all glasses including varifocal is…pun intended ‘spectacular’.
Asda opticians Shipley
Asda opticians Shipley - lots of frames to choose from, friendly staff and cheap prices. After a bad experience at specsavers with varifocals, I was very sceptical. However there was no need to worry, two pairs of varifocals later for less than £200, I couldn’t be happier.
I had some trepidation after reading…
I had some trepidation after reading reviews but will use them again and recommend. Nobody was actually rude but it was definitely a no frills experience and I had to do some chasing up of the order. They don't tend to answer the phone, which is irritating but I found going through customer service got me put through. Anyway who cares? I have got very nice clear and sunglasses with anti glint and both varifocal for £120 for the two. A lovely wide choice of frames too.
Great staff and good value for money
We have been using Asda in South Ruislip for our glasses for some years, and have always been pleased with the service and value for money. The optician and staff in this particular branch are helpful and pleasant, and nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommended.
ASDA Opticians
ASDA Opticians - Trafford Park, Manchester The staff are in the main lovely. The optician was excellent getting my test but tbh I will never order glasses from them again. 4 weeks and counting. Last week I had a nice person on the phone who chased them up and said they had been put on priority and would be in by the end of last week. So I waited until after Easter and called again and told again by the end of the week but this time no priority. Luckily I have a spare pair of specs but imagine if I didn't. Also if I had not chased they would not have told me anything. Not great customer service and not much cheaper than Specsavers.
Review for Asda Opticians Blackpool
Review for Asda Opticians Blackpool
I had a frustrating experience at Asda Opticians Blackpool, where an incorrect eye test resulted in glasses that were unusable, requiring new lenses after a follow-up test. The initial error was compounded by one assistant’s rude behavior and a narrative that felt dismissive—suggesting my responses during the eye test or an unlikely medical change in just 10 days caused the issue, rather than acknowledging a potential mistake in the test. I instinctively knew the glasses were wrong, yet I was made to feel at fault. Additionally, an unexplained colored film on the lenses was brushed off without clarification, which added to my dissatisfaction. With the manager absent due to health, the store lacked leadership, and for a large company like Asda, I expected better accountability.
That said, one staff member was truly exceptional. Her professionalism, patience, and commitment ensured the issue was resolved, and without her, I would have lodged a formal complaint. I’m aware of Asda’s value, offering scratch protection, thinner lenses, and other add-ons typically priced . While I’m grateful to the outstanding service provided by a team member who has been there a long time…, Thankyou Jennie 🙏, I can’t fully endorse Asda Opticians due to the initial errors & poor handling and the lack of accountability. Thank you to the staff member who made a difference—you’re a credit to Asda. I have given 4 stars because of Jennie
ASDA Birchwood - fantastic service
The gentleman was good enough to fix my glasses whilst I did some shopping and for no charge.
Super helpful and friendly. I always use this optician. I find them more thorough helpful than other places I have tried. Would recommend highly .
Amazing service and excellent quality…
Amazing service and excellent quality glasses. Thank you so much.
I would like to especially thank Amy and Teresa (at the Eastbourne branch) for their friendly manner and warmth.
Excellent from start to finish
Excellent from start to finish! Took my prescription along I asked for help deciding on frames, lovely lady in store helped me narrow down my choices. In 6 days I had both a clear pair and tinted sunglasses ready to collect. Great experience
