This website does it's job.
YET, items that are being sold in one place linked with another city 200km away for some reason. Random business ads are everywhere too.
I like the fact that I can advertise my apartment for free, but I don't like the fact that people call me to know where it is when it's properly listed just because kijiji randomly associate it with other cities.

Attention to the developers who work on the kijiji development. The system is 100% corrupt. You can’t tell me it’s working otherwise at this point. I had someone I talked to over a month ago that I’ve never met review me at 3.0/5. Our discussion was over a month ago. Now I can’t give them a review back? What kinda system is this? You have to know by now this is 100% garbage material. Fix it, don’t complain if you go out of business because your users won’t be putting up with this ridiculousness for much longer I’m sure. It’s bad enough there are a lot of no shows and unrealistic peeps we have to deal with. Fix this weird system will ya?

Their review system is a joke. People leave reviews when they didn’t even meet up to do business with you. I’ve been using Kijiji for 7 years and now because one person was upset I didn’t take their low ball offer, my account is rated 1-star. Thanks Kijiji

Flawed review system that they will not address.

Kijiji actually promotes SCAMMERS. Right now it’s all these people looking for puppies, scammers ask for a deposit to be etransfered to them. They will not accept PayPal or in person deposit. I actually contacted one, she mentioned they live on a street near to me. When I said I could walk over & pay the deposit they stopped replying & then said , sorry we sold them all.
I tried to post a warning but was never accepted, delayed or pending. By that time some people were scammed. They’re asking for $500 deposit.
Kijiji SHOULD BE REMOVED!!!

Met a girl in Davisville.to buy a bag. literally blackmailed into paying but refusing to compromise to meet up at a subway station. Made me go all the way to her condo complex. These type of sellers need to be banned, you don't make the person pay before meeting up. I understand convid-19 but subway station is more reasonable over condo complex. This girl literally forces you to make time to go meet here while she doesn't bother to leave. She needs to be banned from kjiji and shes using fake reviews to sell when she isn't all that pleasant a seller. Never buy from her.

This review method stinks. The buyer asks me to hols the item (joe rocket pants) for 10 days. I had a buyer ask me to drive all over town to meet him. He states he'll be early don't be late. I'm waiting for a no show. Then calls stating he's "running late". I'm on my way home after a half hour wait. Then he calls chewing me out for leaving. I sell the pants to the next person waiting for them within a hour. No messing around. To top it off the first jerk leaves a bad review and I'm stuck with it. Try treating people well and bad people leave bad reviews for no reason. A more fair review must be instituted or no review system at all

As a seller, I had a buyer jerk me around with unreasonable offers. Instead of moving along, he took retaliation and, after more than 5 years of buying and selling on Kijiji, I now have a 1 star rating from this guy. There's no way to challenge or respond to the rating. What's really infuriating is it's not even tied to an actual transaction, but rather an email interaction of 7 or more exchanged messages. Ridiculous. So next time someone seems questionable, I now go direct to blocking. This has already impacted my potential purchase of another item item, after the seller saw my rating and acted like it was sold already. Kijiji -- fix this.

Kijiji is the Lost Kingdom of the bottom feeders of society. We used to rely on Kijiji regularly but are now cancelling our account.
Kijiji's listings are now dominated by Scammers and Thieves.
My advice is that any Company or individual that advertises "Sevices" on this site should be avoided. Don't walk away, run away. There's a reason they are advertising on Kijiji and not on a reputable site.
We also used to " Sell" on Kijiji and the reality is the majority of responses are from people that are going to lowball or waste your time. Or worse try and steal your merchandise,
Kijiji has no interest in removing the Scammers from their site. They are complicit in enabling unethical behaviours.
My new life philosophy is " Anyone that advertises on Kijiji is a Company, Business or Person that needs to be avoided.".

A scammer with the name Kijijier tried to sell me "brand new" item. After admitting the box is opened and a missing item from the box, I apologized and thanked them for their time. They waited 13 days and 23 hours (14 days minus 1 hour) to post a 1 star on myy profile. Beware of such scammer people. Contacted kijiji customer service, they said they cannot do anything about it and they cannot give me the chance to defend my self

Kijiji is very one sided. I was offering a service and some people didn't like my prices and subsequently reported me to Kijiji. Kijiji repeatedly took my posts down and almost banned me from the site due to people being selfish and wanting something for nothing. I had no say whatsoever. It's a buyers site.

I just don't understand, there are about 40+ Ads selling IPTV Service or android service and these ads stay online and never gets removed. I ended up doing it on two accounts and even paid for bump up and homepage but the Ads gets removed. I am still waiting for my refund but just unfair. Kijiji support told me i have to email Global_Enforcement motionpictures.org they are the ones who removed it and kijiji can not give me no answers. What a business

If I could have the option I will give negative ratings.They are just stealing money from the customers and didn't post our add. I paid for the top add for 3 days and after one day I cannot find my add on kijiji. I even wrote the mail to them but they didn't fix. They are cheating customers. Don't waste your money on kijiji. Just stay away from this site.

I had a bad review left for me from someone who did not purchase the item and we never even met. She sent me a low ball offer which I declined and left me a 2/5 review. How is there no way to dispute a negative review ??
At least Marketplace is on its way to ending Kijiji...

The new review system is critically FLAWED! I had an interaction with a seller. I asked a few questions and the final question was when I could come and where he was located. I never got a response for almost two weeks. He then, after 13 days and 23 hours (knowing I could not counter his review as there is a 14 day time limit), left me a 1 star bad review. I never even knew how the review system worked until now. It seems that this system can be played on anyone who does not know how it works. You can screw anyone with a fraudulent review and the other person has no idea it is even happening. Even worse, you cannot counter review it or tell the truth to an interaction., Kijiji is heading down the tubes and users are victims of fraud. Now that we know the system and how it works, we will start another ID. Terrible review system that is only fair to one side!!

The biggest BullSh*t site is Kijiji. There is no contest about it, 90% of the users think it is, and it's just getting worse. Nice dowhill ride for Kijiji. Probably the owner of kijiji is getting senile and ancient so now he doesn't care.

I am a long time user and former champion of the site. It was always a nice clean look, with adaquite catagories and filters and did not look antiquated like craigslist. Now however they have a monopoly on classified's in my part of the world and Thier ethics have disappeared.

First they stopped allowing ticket sales, they claim this is to protect consumers however Thier parent company also owns stubhub. I used to sell some of my season tickets for junior hockey on Kijiji for cost, it was great for me and buyers because it's a hard ticket to get in my home town but if you have them they are only about $20 CAD, on StubHub with Thier service charges however they run about $45 USD.

Now they have added in a review system that's completely unethical. I really had not paid much attention to it until I encountered someone who tried to scam me, I called him out and he played it off, And agreed to my price. He then gave me the run around about the meeting before finally setting a date for the following week, but days before the scheduled meeting I get notified of a one star review from this guy. Kijiji does not verify anything, they do not notify you that a review has been made until they post it permanently, and they do not allow you to respond to the review. Basically they have made it more of a leveraging tool for the dishonest than anything else. Kijiji has been plagued by rude people who are slimy negotiators and often send ridiculous low ball offers, but you could ignore them before, now you can't.

Virtually no customer service. They introduced stupid review system when people can review others after just one messages sent. If offer rejected other party leaving 1star just for that! What a stupid idea! Had been more than 10 years on site and now have 1 start rating! Nice work.
