I ordered some beautiful tiles back 3 months ago from Otto tiles. I was pregnant and since ordering the tiles I’ve had some health and non health related issues (which I will not go into) which meant that our renovations could not go ahead.

I was told by Otto tiles that they cannot accept a return of the tiles as they would not match the batch. I asked if they would consider just looking at them (as they are still packaged and unused) to see if they match their current batch as the May well be fine. However, they refused to even look at them, they just straight up said no. I understand the return policy but given what I’ve gone through all I was asking them was to look at them.

I even asked if they wanted to give me store credit instead of a refund as I’m sure one day I will buy more tiles from them and again, they did not even entertain the idea.

Very cold, insensitive and I compassion company.

Interesting to read in the comments here that ottotiles is delivering tiles all around the world. We tried to order tiles and wanted to get them sent to Germany. We were told that they do not do that. Yes, there was the brexit, but shipping should still be possible. To us this just sounded very lazy.

I wanted some exterior tiles to complete a newly designed tropical courtyard garden. I came across the Petal design which looked perfect but I was slightly hesitant having never used encaustic tiles before. I contacted the company several times and always received a prompt and helpful reply including being sent a detailed aftercare guide. The tiles were delayed a week due to container issues. They eventually arrived carefully packaged on a pallet. They are now in situ and look fab.

I have never dealt with such a snobby company as this before, they would answer inquiries, I wanted to make a big purchase, they happily told me that they normally deal with people who live in Chelsea or soho not actually knowing where I lived, or bothered to find out, messed up my begrudged order deducting money then saying they hadn’t and not interested in doing anything about it, I had to get the help of my bank to get the money back!
Not helpful at all, they really talk down to you and really horrible company, likewise I took my business elsewhere to a company tiles.co.U.K. Who are really lovely and couldn’t do enough to help, I got the tiles in three days and not the five weeks these told me, no delivery cost saving me over £200,!

Saw some kitchen tiles we really liked on their website so paid for a sample to be sent to us. Lovely sample and true to online pictures.
Went on to order the kitchen tiles and they are not the same colour. We were sent 2 different coloured tiles when on their website there's images with one colour tiles on the product page.
Poor communication, at no point did they say they were going to order 2 different coloured tiles.
The tiles took 6 weeks to arrive and were not the same colour as the sample. We understand there would be some difference in colours due to the firing process but it's clear that the sample was painted with this glaze an extra layer than the tiles we received and there's been some cost cutting involved somewhere. I don't think there is any quality control being monitored by this company.
We'd planned to match the colours of our kitchen cabinets to this. Poor customer service when we contacted them about this and the lightness of half the tiles we received all they said was 'I am sure they will look amazing'. Very helpful.

Got a phone call from the company after leaving this review. Prior to writing the above review we had sent multiple emails with no avknowlegment of their faults or positive outcome. Someone very patronising over the phone offered to meet saying if the tiles we were sent were the Turquoise ones on their website they might be able to exchange. So gave no guarantee of anything but expected me to spend 3 hours travel time to hear the same bull**** to my face and fob me off again.
Their website has multiple pictures of these tiles where they are all a single colour and nowhere on the website did it state the green was actually 2 different colours. We assumed people had bought 50/50 of the green and turquoise tiles on their website in the other pictures. As above, I really think this should have been flagged at the sample stage and then again when ordering.

Beautiful tiles and excellent customer service. My lovely cement tiles arrived safely packed in a huge crate. They have now been laid and look wonderful. Thank you.

Found our dream tiles at this online store. Nicely packaged too.

Saw a tile in a magazine on 19th April, couldn't find it on the website. Pink hexagonal tile with white 'rays from bottom point to top two sides, sort of Deco design, or Camino de Santiago pointers . . .
Useless website.

Great range of really top quality tiles. You can feel superior quality as soon as you pick them up. The staff are very knowledgeable and eager to help. Every time I have phoned for information they have followed up promptly.

Gorgeous tiles, delivered on time

Had a new kitchen to finish off and specifically wanted Turkish tiles. Otto Tiles were able to supply the pattern I wanted ie not too dark in this instance and 25 tiles was all that I needed to do the job. Made sure I employed a professional tiler to do the job and actually ended up with 5 spare tiles!
Have had 51 holidays in Turkey over the years including 5 in İstanbul so I am fairly familiar with Turkish tile designs and love everything Turkish. Delivery was amazing, like next day.
Am well pleased with the tiles, delivery, and installation.

The delivery could have been better prepared by the supplier. They had not told the delivery driver the weight of the tiles. When they got to us they weighted over a Ton, which meant that they could not be lifted off the truck! We eventually got it sorted but it was an unnecessary drama which could have been avoided if prepared properly.
They don't advise of the weight of the tiles in an obvious way, which they should as some bathrooms/floors/walls may not have the structure to take such big tiles. Luckily ours did but I would have thought they should provide more advice to people to check this before purchase.
The shop was closed on Saturdays, which I found to be strange give that is when most home owners can visit such places.

Easy to Contact for enquiries. Very helpful with questions, Delivered on time. Tiles look fabulous.

I found Otto Tiles very easy to deal with. There prices are also very competitive.

Ordered the Istanblue tiles for a bathroom makeover. They look fantastic, a lovely colour and so full of character! The builders like that they are consistent size and depth, even though they are handmade. Everyone at Otto was really helpful. Thanks so much!
