If I could leave 0 stars I would. Stole £82 from me due to a booking fault on their website. AVOID scammers with no customer service at all! No wonder they are expanding, stealing money from customers without delivering a service enables them to continue to grow using other peoples money.

Disgusting no customer service whatsoever trying to cancel my booking. Tried online, they said they need to send a code to confirm. Code never arrives or if it does it doesn't work. They advise to call a number to speak to someone. This is just automated & cuts you off. Think I've lost my money. Please avoid at all cost. YOU TELL ME TO SEND MY DETAILS AND YOU WILL SORT BUT THAT IS THE PROBLEM YOU CANNOT CONTACT YOU. GIVE ME A DIRECT NUMBER WHERE I CAN TALK TO A PERSON. I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding my recent stay at the Aigburth Hotel on Dec 05 -09, under booking confirmation 5072305658. My experience at your property was unacceptable, unsafe, and far below any reasonable standard of hospitality. I am therefore requesting a full refund.
Upon arrival, the hotel appeared completely unstaffed. There was no one at reception at night, in the morning, or later in the afternoon, leaving guests without support or even access to basic necessities. I am six months pregnant, and not being able to obtain fresh drinking water placed me in an extremely distressing and unsafe situation.
The first room provided was in an appalling condition. It had a strong, unpleasant odour, and the amount of dust present made it resemble a construction site. It was clearly unsanitary and unsafe. Guests in front of me also complained, and the elderly couple travelling with me refused to stay in such conditions.
Management then moved us to the front of the hotel and offered what they referred to as a “suite,” which was equally unacceptable. In addition, the manager repeatedly referred to me as “big boss,” a comment I found inappropriate and insulting.
The alleged suite contained:
Mould on the windows
Leaves on the bathroom floor
Bugs inside the lighting fixtures and elsewhere in the room
Cobwebs throughout the space
I was travelling with elderly dependants, who were exhausted and had no alternative accommodation at 11pm. We had no car and nowhere else to go at that hour. I did not feel safe in this hotel, either physically or hygienically.
The following day, I was forced to spend $200 on an Uber to hire a car and move everyone to a safe, clean hotel—one that cost the same but actually met basic standards. As we left, the manager followed me outside and attempted to offer a third room, another “bigger suite,” which I declined. At that point, I had no confidence in the hotel’s ability to provide safe drinking water for me, my unborn baby, or my elderly relatives.
This entire experience was humiliating, distressing, and completely unacceptable, especially given my pregnancy and my responsibility for vulnerable travellers. The fact that I have even had to write this complaint after such conditions—and after not being offered an immediate refund—is extremely disappointing.
Given the serious health, safety, and hygiene failures, and the total lack of functioning staff, I am requesting a full refund for booking 5072305658. I expect written confirmation of my refund as soon as soon as possible.

Absolutely awful company. They are scammers. I booked a hotel last night through them and the cancellation period is up next week. Tried to cancel online and was unable to because the authentication thing does not work. Also cannot get in touch with any customer service agent. I cancelled with hotel but have no idea whether I can get a refund despite cancelling this far in advance. DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.

Company is a racket. Was unable to cancel/ change my booking days within my terms of service.The one time password will never get sent. Very shady business. I called Mercure Cardiff to change it and they didn't want to cancel it either. They advertise it's refundable but it isn't. I will never use either

I have booked inadvertently through OYO as I booked a room through Booking (dot) com
The hotel itself are unable to amend my booking and OYO is impossible to contact. I have experienced all the problems shared here and I am amazed that Trading Standards are not onto this company.
Do not use.

It's not possible to cancel a cancellable booking since you can't login. The one time password for that is never send. Emails are not answered, chats not working, phone calls disconnected.
Please cancel RF7V9358 and ENJ17887 Bristol December 13.

Easy enough to make a booking at a great price - the problem is I can't seem to cancel it! (For clarity I am within their T&Cs to cancel) Can't seem to log into the website to access my account. 24/7 chat advertised doesn't work. Customer Service number 0203 7697045 rings out. Confirmation email was sent by a noreply email. Won't bother using this site again. Terrible!

I did draft out a big long review but couldn’t be bothered to finish it.
Basically in short I stayed at one of their hotels, paid £10 extra for parking, got a parking ticket from Parking eye for the hotel car park. Spent around a month trying to even get customer service to understand my problem. The full customer service team are Indian I think (there is nothing wrong with that but there is a problem when they don’t understand English)
One of my customer service tickets was closed down by them and they left the internal email chain within that email where they was discussing internally that customer (me) is basically asking for a £10 refund of the parking even though I stayed there. The just couldn’t comprehend that I was asking them to sort out the issue of getting a parking ticket. I provided all the evidence, bank statements/parking ticket proof etc etc
In the end I gave up paid the £135 parking ticket and moved on because I couldn’t be bothered to spend anymore time on chasing it up.
I literally never leave reviews for companies but they earned this one!!! Completely incompetent company. One of the worst I have ever experienced.
*EDIT* They replied to my review within a few hours. Shame they didn’t show that much urgency when dealing with my complaint.
The hotel was Sunday London Staines, I’m not gonna spend anymore time providing details because I don’t care if you resolve it or not at this point. First start for you would be making sure the hotel actually pick up their phone. I remember on initial contact it took me 3 days to get through to them after trying about 20 times a day.
**Edit** I have just seen your edited review. You can try to reach me again but unless it’s to refund me the £135 I paid for the parking ticket then there isn’t really any need.

Do not book with this company! I have tried for 2 weeks to cancel my booking and getting nowhere. Followed instructions on email to cancel and sends me into a chat with a bot and when its sends me the code it doesn’t work. If you phone them it’s an automated service that tells you too go on website then cuts off. I have also emailed them twice and got nothing back. My room is booked for next week but can no longer make it so looks like I’m gonna lose money. Absolutely shocking company!!!!

I was due to stay at the Aston court hotel in Derby on the 22nd November for one night. I paid in advance.
I got there at around 6pm to check in. The front door was closed and I eas advised to use the back entrance, I couldnt find this initially and when I did it was badly lit and quite dangerous.
The reception person was unhelpful and gave me key code and a tesco club card. I asked what the card was for and he said for the electric..A hotel of this nature to use a clubcard is a joke.
The key code didnt work on the door, I went down and raised this, and the receptionist started to question me if I am doing it.correctly. In the corridor walking to the room there was drunken man who made me feel insecure. I said to the receptionist I will come back to gain entry to the room as he said it was 24 hours reception and I was already late for a.birthday party. I returned to the hotel at 12am and the door was locked. Bearing in mind it was badly lit and I felt scared. I rang the number for reception and no one answered.
I couldn't gain entry to the hotel and had to make alternative arrangements for the night as a result and paid for a room I couldn't stay in.
The worst experience ever.

You get to where they say they will send a 4 digit code that never comes through then ovet and over on a chat bot going around in circles !! Then i phoned a number i was given that was in India for a woman to take all the details and she then asked 3 times do i want to cancel !!! I asked for an email to be sent as my proof for the line to then go dead Awful experience and will never use again !!!!

Don’t book if needing to cancel.
Had two separate bookings for the same night stay, Tried to cancel through the app and the OTP does not work. Tried to call and no answer. Now nearly £200 out of pocket and no way of cancelling the rooms which are for October next year.
Update*** 18/11/25 was advised this was being escalated & no update or contact from the company. Utterly shocking service, 4 days later and still no response or acknowledgement my bookings have been cancelled and a refund processed. Avoid at all costs!!!

1. Shower leaking all night
2. General condition of the property is very poor, mould and dirt on the window frames, cracked paint and rust on the shower enclosure, the floor hasn't been vacuumed in a while.
3. The bedding was itchy and I have red bite marks all over my body now, meaning there must have been some bed bugs. I am considering verifying these with my doctor and taking legal action if the marks are actually bite marks from some insects.
4. Very little noise-proofing: I could hear other guests banging their doors and walking around all night, and the plumbing (toilet flushing) in the adjacent rooms.

I had to write a review to Warn Potential users of OYO Rooms to book a hotel room. My son moved to Manchester on Saturday 8th November so we needed a place to stay. Due to several high demand events that weekend around Manchester, we couldn't find a place near my sons flat. We went on google where we noticed OYO were offering rooms at £138. It was at OYO Weaste Hotel. The worst experience of my life. Room we were allocated smelled of damp and it was unkept. My wife couldn't sleep due to the bed smelling. There were sharp edges to trims and not at all expected in the UK. I have stayed in some hostels in my life but they were far better than this! Absolute rip off, disgusting and surprised they have a license to rent rooms.

Booked a hotel but have had to cancel, well within the time limit. But neither the app or website sends an OTP code, which you need to cancel. No one answers the phone. I just know that they are still going to take my money, even though I have phoned the hotel direct and cancelled. Absolutely shocking.

OMG, I dont even know where to start, I got an incomplete confirmation for my booking (after I paid full price for it) then I followed it to website then app, NONE OF IT WORKS!!! It's so bad, and i wanna cry. I already emailed them for a cancellation with refund, let's see if it works.
