Is it 5pm or 4.50pm closing time...?
I wanted to buy a paint sample from Paintwell in Sudbury at 4.56pm today and was refused as apparently they close the tills at 4.50pm!!
Both women were very unfriendly and quite sharp when I questioned the fact that the website clearly says "open" until 5pm and their excuse was they had been at work all day!! Doesn't paid employment mean that we work certain specified hours? If they were meant to finish at 4.50pm surely that would be the closing time?
Not the staff I would want to employ... There are plenty of other places to buy paint.

Upon speaking to the team and reviewing the CCTV we understand you called ahead and our team advised you to arrive 5/10 minutes before closing to allow enough time for assistance before closing at 5pm. When you arrived at 4:58pm, the team still offered to help you select a sample and the tills remained open for you to make your purchase, at no point were you refused service.
Our team did their best to accommodate you but unfortunately, our staff were met with verbal abuse despite their best efforts to assist you. We understand that the situation may have felt rushed, but we always expect our team to be treated with respect.

Paint purchase and delivery review
Are some good prices to be had. And a good stock of items. Only issues I had is delivery charge. Aberdeenshire where I stay is classed as Highlands and Islands. Which is harsh since I stay on the main road between Aberdeen and Inverness m.
