On July 22, 2020, I ordered some hats in Panama Hats, it took weeks to arrive because of "COVID19" but finally, they arrived and hats are extremely small, immediately fill out the form to make a change and order bigger ones, that's where my nightmare begins, NOBODY REPLIES, NO EMAIL, NOTHING just to ask for the address where I should change it and nothing. I have made international calls to Ecuador, the phones ring, nobody answers, the fax number does not answer, it has been a tremendous nightmare and now I have these two hats if there is any solution, The email of a person called Maria Jose Leira, responds only saying sorry and nothing else does not solve the problems.
do not use PanamaHatMall is a tremendous theft

I bought an article four days ago, and I opted for shipping UPS, because I'm going on a trip, and the system told me I'd get it on Friday, call Toll Free and have it disconnected, call the local number and the person who answered told me that she knew nothing about orders, and sent three emails and don't answer the emails, they have a lousy service, I will cancel my order

My Second Purchase...not great.
I got my favorite hat from Panama Hat Mall about 10 years ago. It's now in need of replacement, so I was happy to find that the same style was still available. The website even showed the same product picture that I originally selected from. Although the hat that was delivered a few weeks later is tagged with the same style number, it is a completely different style, color, and fit from the hat in their picture and from the one that I was hoping to replace.
A second hat in the order was also - to a lesser extent - markedly different from the product picture. It's in the same "family" but the actual hat looks like a 20% reduction from the display photo.
I tried to contact the company directly a few weeks ago, but have heard nothing in return. And I keep getting these requests to fill out a satisfaction survey so...here you go. Sorry.

Excellent fit. Was concerned about how accurate this would turn out. Excellent tight weave, nice interior detail with the covering liner stamped “Panama....etc”, and a good fitting leather inside band.
One minor problem: I ordered an extra grosgrain in blue. Another black was sent instead.

I literally revived a misshaped, paper hat in a soaked broken box. I also paid almost 100 dollars for this hat. Which apparently you can only return the hat in that broken box it was shipped in.

The hat is of beautiful quality. However, it took a long time to arrive. After it got here I have been charged an additional £17.28 import duty into the EU, and the selling website did not inform that duty would be payable. The hat was already expensive, and now is very expensive. Unfortunately the hat is too large. It needs to be returned within 10 days of arrival, but Panama Hat Mall will only accept its return if they have confirmed that it is OK to send it back. I have sent them a message asking to return it, promptly after the hat arrived. They are supposed to respond within 24 hours during the week or longer at weekends..... Some days later I have still not heard anything.
A couple of days after writing the above I have heard from Panama Hat Mall. They will not accept the return of my hat for exchange for a slightly smaller one, saying that my hat was made specially to my order. They can sell me a band that fits inside the hat that will make it fit. Take care when you are ordering as it can be very difficult to be sure that a hat will fit when you are buying it online. However, as I have said, the hat itself is really good.
I would add that, after I raised a query on Facebook about the lack of a reply to my initial claim, I am very happy with the prompt way in which the matter was dealt with, and the reducer band is now on its way to me.

Rating Would have been higher; except, there is no customer service! Really wanted much better quality fabric than delivered. However, customer service number does not work nor does anyone respond to my emails about exchanging for a much higher quality at the higher price. Did not wear delivered hat awaiting response. Stuck with hat that is marginal quality based on what I really want and thought I got. Not happy with hat.
6/26/2020 Just got the reply to my comments. I called the service number; but, the message was the number is not in service. All I want is to return the hat I brought for a credit to then buy a higher quality hat. This would be an upgrade in quality as that is what I wanted all along. Please advise.

The hat came in a box smaller than the hat, so it was out of shape. It took too long to be delivered. I like the hat, I just don't like the service.

Despite a bit of a wait (it was the middle of the Coronavirus epidemic) when the Panama hat arrived it was perfect. Fits perfectly and very fine quality. Great feeling to get this directly from people in Ecuador who made it.
